Interested in Tieks ballet flats but not sure which pair is right for you? I've put together a list of tips to help you decide. Plus, I've got lots of photos of Tieks shoes with side-by-side comparisons to help you decide which pair is perfect for you. I've even got a video below, so be sure to check it out!
2023 Update: I've added even more styles so this should be a complete list with all the styles!
This probably won't come as a surprise after viewing the image above, but I'm a bit of a fanatic when it comes to Tieks ballet flats. I got my first pair in 2015 and I'm now the proud owner of more than 70 pairs of Tieks shoes. That may sound a bit excessive but I've decided that these shoes are an investment worth making. I'm on my feet most of the day running around with two kids. I need shoes that are comfortable, reliable, and durable. Tieks shoes check all the boxes, plus they're stylish and come in such a variety of fun colors and prints. Be sure to check out my full Tieks review to see exactly why I think these flats are so amazing. Once you've decided that you want to take the plunge, it can be hard to choose the perfect pair. I'm sharing some photos and tips to help you decide which pair is right for you.
How to pick the perfect pair of Tieks shoes
First, inventory your closet. Even though you love those Mustard Tieks, if you don't have anything to go with them then they might not be the best choice right off the bat. My closet is full of jeans and black tops, so I really wanted a pair of Tieks that would pop against my neutral wardrobe. I chose Cardinal Red since I'm naturally drawn to that color and they were absolutely perfect for me. In fact, they're still my most-worn pair. So, take note of the colors you wear most.
Then, take a look at your current pair(s) of flats or shoes. Are they damaged or scuffed? If so, is it because they're inexpensive and the quality is lacking, or are you truly hard on your shoes? Before I found Tieks, I had one pair of designer flats that I wore so often that the soles wore out. Since I don't tend to trip or scuff my shoes often, they still looked great on the outside though. From that experience, I knew that choosing a pair of buttery soft leather flats was reasonable for me. If you tend to be super hard on your shoes then maybe a lighter shade like Ballerina Pink or a more delicate finish like Lovestruck aren't the best options for you. Choosing a darker shade, or one you can clean, condition, and polish more often might be a better choice.
Do your research. Browse social media using the #Tieks hashtag to see how people style their Tieks. Also, check out the Tieks website to browse tons of beautiful photos. Click on each shoe in the boutiek to see a scrolling slideshow of images pulled from real people using the #Tieks and #Blueprints hashtags on Instagram. I LOVE this feature since you can see Tieks shoes in so many different settings and shades of light.

One of the hardest things for many of us Tieks fans is deciding which pair to order. I tend to narrow it down to a few pairs but then wonder what they'd look like side by side. So, to help make your decision a little easier, I took photos of all of my Tieks so you could see them up close and personal. I also snapped side-by-side comparison photos of shoes that are similar in shade or texture so you can compare the two. I'll be sure to add to this as my collection continues to grow. Let me know if this Tieks shoes resource helps you!
Photos of Tieks Ballet Flats
Cardinal Red Tieks - This is where it all started for me. These shoes were my first pair of Tieks and are still my most worn pair. They've held up incredibly well and have molded perfectly to my feet.
True Love Red Tieks - These were a limited edition for Valentine's Day 2021. They're a classic, full-grain leather and brighter than Cardinal Red.
Infrared Neon Red Tieks - A special edition to the neon collection.
Red Diamond Tieks - These were a limited edition release for Black Friday 2017. They are STUNNING. They're a truer red than Ruby Red and brighter. They also came with a special box topper which was amazing.
Ruby Red Tieks - A darker, richer red than Cardinal Red with the durability of patent leather.
Ruby Red Croc Tieks - These are discontinued Tieks in the croc print, but you can still get the same effect with Ruby Red Tieks.
Rouge Tieks - These were a first for the brand as they're made from suede. Check out how to care for them in this post with suede care tips.
Burgundy Tieks - I can't get over how deeply rich the color is. I'm hoping these will help me give my Cardinal Red Tieks a rest.
Razzleberry Tieks - A beautiful and rich patent. They're also available in Little Miss Tieks for a mommy-and-me shoe style.
Fuchsia Tieks - These are bright and bold. I wear them year-round here in Florida and they match a lot of my Lilly Pulitzer items.
Pop Pink Tieks - Speaking of BRIGHT... these patent leather neon Tieks are SUPER bright. It's actually a little hard to capture the true saturation of these beauties. You can see more in my full post about neon Tieks.
Aquarella Tieks - These were originally unveiled in 2016 and were created to be a one-of-a-kind pair for one lucky person. In 2018, Tieks decided to release them for the public and they're simply gorgeous. You can check out my full post about Aquarella Tieks for more photos and styling tips.
Blush Patent Tieks
Ballerina Pink Tieks - They're perfectly pale and pink.
Cotton Candy Tieks - The perfect shade of pink!
Coral Tieks - These are perfectly tropical. They're also another pair of patent leather flats that go very well with Lilly Pulitzer clothing (if you happen to be a Lilly fan).
Outrageous Orange Tieks - Another great neon. These patent leather Tieks kind of remind me of a hunter's vest or traffic cone. They're bright and I personally love them. See how I style them Outrageous Orange Tieks and the other neons too.
Tangerine Tieks - A true orange and perfect for this University of Florida fan.
Poppy Tieks - These are delightfully bright and are a perfect mix of pink and coral. They're only available during Poppy season, so keep an eye out for them this Spring and Summer.
Peach Poppy Tieks - These Icelandic Peach Poppy flats were a limited edition in 2021.
Mustard Tieks - These are much brighter and more cheerful than I expected. I thought they'd be more of a spicy or dijon mustard kind of color for fall, but to my delight they're much bolder and are the shade of classic yellow mustard. They match a No. 2 pencil pretty perfectly.
Echo Dot Tieks - a member of the Vegan collection.
Unmellow Yellow Tieks - These channel a classic yellow highlighter and definitely make a statement. See how I pair them here.
Clover Tieks - The color of Clover is a perfect shade of green. It reminds me of shamrocks and really adds a pop of color to whatever you're wearing.
Emerald Tieks - These patent flats are so regal and the most gorgeous shade of green.
Pacific Green Tieks - This color is the perfect blend of blue and green. This may be my favorite pair of green Tieks. They're top grain leather and are burnished for a slightly distressed effect.
Tahitian Pearl Tieks. Very similar to Pacific Green, but with a beautiful metallic shimmer. This was a Black Friday release in 2021. See the full post for side-by-sides of these.
Olive Tieks - These Olive green Tieks were like butter right out of the box. The full-grain leather is so soft and supple and the color is rich. I think these flats will transition beautifully from season to season.
Galactic Green Tieks - These are super bright and fun! They almost glow in the dark. See how I wear them in my post about neon Tieks.
Mint Tieks - These patent leather Tieks are a great shade of light mint green.
Tiek Blue - These patent leather Tieks take that signature blue sole to a whole new level. I also love the durability of the patent.
Cobalt Tieks - As a University of Florida fan, these Tieks were a MUST-have for me. I also wore them on the "blue carpet" for the Finding Dory World Premiere.
Sapphire Tieks - I have one word for these patent leather flats; STUNNING. They are truly fit for a queen. I've got an entire post about these Sapphire Tieks, so be sure to check that out for more photos and a video.
Paradise Blue Tieks - These have a light blue base with metallic silver scales. They are even more beautiful in person.
Moonstruck Tieks - I love the glittery shine of the "strucks" and so I had to have these. The "peacocking" on my pair is perfection! Sidenote: Peacocking refers to the color-changing pattern or rainbow effect on Lovestruck, Starstruck, and Moonstruck.
Navy Tieks - I wasn't sure I needed Navy, but I'm so glad I got them. The color is amazing in person and so dark and rich.
Midnight Blue Tieks - These were a special Black Friday release for 2019. They're a classic metallic navy blue.
Heritage Plaid Tieks - These were one of the first fabric Tieks releases and they're such a great print and so comfy!
Azure Snake Tieks - The Snake Tieks feel super durable to me and the color of Azure is awesome. The mix of royal blue, aqua, pewter, gold and black is fabulous.
Ultraviolet Tieks - the latest release in the Neon collection, launched in the summer of 2020. See more photos of Ultraviolet Tieks here.
Tyrian Tieks - These were the limited edition Black Friday release in 2020. They're crushed velvet perfection!
Lilac Tieks - These are another new addition for me. The shade of purple is bold and divine. See how versatile Lilac Tieks can be in my post about why you need a little blue stripe in your wardrobe.
Electric Snake Tieks - My first pair of Snakes and the obsession is REAL! Pink, lavender, aqua, black, pewter and gold is perfection. Check out my full review of Tieks here to see even more photos of these beauties.
Lavender Snake Tieks - These snakes are so pretty! They're the perfect mix of light purple, blue, and gold metallic.
Sand Snake Tieks - These are another great neutral that are also a bit more lively thanks to the snakeskin print in shades of gold, white, grey, and black.
Copperhead Snake Tieks - I love the copper, silver, and black coloring of these beautiful neutral flats.
Mocha Snake Tieks - This is a richer color combination if you're looking for more exciting brown flats with hues of caramel, black, and brown.
Giraffe Tieks - I believe these Giraffes were released in 2012 and have since been retired. They're a pale neutral with a faint giraffe pattern and even have furry hair on them.
Sunset Stripe Tieks - My first pair of Vegan Tieks and it's LOVE. You can read more about why I love my Vegan Tieks for even more photos of these beauties.
Mojave Tieks - These fabric flats fit a little snug, so be sure to read my full post about them for sizing tips.
Wild Copper Tieks - Such a great mix of metallic and snakeskin print!
Leopard Tieks - I absolutely love my Leopard Tieks. I originally bought a pair in 2016, but ended up exchanging them since the finish looked a bit dry for my taste. This pair is from the latest batch (Fall 2017) and they are beautiful. Be sure to check out my post about styling Leopard Tieks as a neutral.
Tortoiseshell Tieks - Another gorgeous neutral! The patent finish makes these Tieks classy and durable. Check out my full post about Tortoiseshell Tieks and how to style them.
Raspberry Truffle Tieks - The Black Friday release of 2018. This is the perfect blend of Chocolate and Burgundy. Check out my full post about Rapsberry Truffle Tieks for even more shots and a video.
Chocolate Brown Tieks - A perfect classic. They're super rich, soft and comfy. See more photos of these brown Tieks and a video with more side-by-side of just brown tones.
Sienna Brown Croc Tieks
Ember Tieks
Chestnut Tieks - Perfect for fall! These classics are timeless and a perfect shade of autumn brown.
Camel Tieks - These are also super comfy and soft. Camel is a great option between Mustard and Chestnut (see comparison photos below).
Taupe Tieks - Taupe gets my vote as the most perfect neutral ever. The mixture of brown and grey is a thing of beauty.
Metallic Bronze Tieks - These are super soft and a beautiful rich tone of bronze. It's definitely a statement neutral, as Tieks says on their site.
Golden Glitz Tieks - All the beauty of the old Hollywood style comes to life in these crackly gold beauties.
Metallic Gold Tieks - These offer a beautiful, rich color that shimmers in the sunlight.
Metallic Champagne Tieks - These gorgeous flats were a limited edition run that was only available during the weekend of Black Friday in 2016. They're a great neutral with a touch of shimmer.
Cream Tieks - These shoes are definitely underappreciated. They are a great neutral and are buttery soft right out of the box.
Biscotti (formerly known as Nude) Patent Tieks - A very light and shiny neutral.
Romantic Blush Tieks - Ballerina Pink with a metallic and shiny snakeskin overlay. They're gorgeous!
Rosé Pink Champagne Tieks - These are so shimmery and pretty!
Rose Gold Glam Tieks - If you're a fan of rose gold (which I am), you will definitely love Rose Gold Glam. Just as the name suggests, they're glamorous and ultra luxe.
Lovestruck Tieks - I don't think any photo would ever be able to do these sparkly rose gold shoes justice. They're treated for a luminous shine, which makes them more delicate than other pairs, but they're truly exquisite.
Starstruck Tieks - Like their counterparts Lovestruck, Starstruck Tieks are treated for that same luminous shine, but these are bolder and more striking. They stand out from the crowd and have become one of my favorite pairs.
Toscani Tieks - These are now discontinued, but they are AMAZING in person. They are hand-painted and no two pairs are exactly alike.
Silver Screen Tieks - These shiny flats are chic and flashy, and I just love them.
Diamond White Croc Tieks - a soft patent leather flat.
White Rose Tieks - They are now discontinued Tieks, but they're gorgeous!
Rose Garden Tieks - These have also been discontinued, but the pretty floral fabric is so sweet and feminine.
Feather Grey Tieks - These top grain leather flats are another great neutral, with warm taupe undertones.
Cool Grey Tieks (see the full post at the link) - The perfect grey neutral with blue undertones.
Metallic Pewter Tieks - Another great neutral, Metallic Pewter goes with pretty much everything.
Silver Lake Tieks - a Vegan option.
Greystone Tieks - These vegan Tieks are a wool interpretation and are such a great shade of dark grey. Unlike the other vegan Tieks, where I needed to order a size up, I found Greystone to be true to size.
Slate Grey Croc - I LOVE these. They seem so durable and are a fantastic neutral.
Drago Tieks - an homage to Game of Thrones. Get a closer look at them in my full post about Drago Tieks.
Alpine Grey Tieks - These discontinued Tieks have been gone for some time, but are another beautiful pair of patent leather flats.
Desert Croc Tieks - long retired and released around the time of Alpine Grey.
Nude Lace - If you're got an event coming up and need a dressier pair of flats, Nude Lace Tieks are for you! They've got a nude leather base (well, nude depending on your skin tone) with a black lace overlay and they are gorgeous. I was worried about them being too delicate but they've been holding up well for me so far. They may not be the pair for you if you're known to scuff up your shoes though.
Matte Black Tieks - Every girl needs a good pair of black flats and these take the cake. You can wear them from day to night and look sleek and sophisticated.
Obsidian Black Tieks - These crinkled patent leather flats are one of my favorite and most worn pairs. They are so comfortable and stylish. I've even worn them to trade shows where I walked for 8-10 hour straight and had no issues at all.
Arabian Night Tieks - These are an "E" on the color scale, which means they're the brightest and most colorful. They are beautiful and it's hard to capture the beauty in photos. They are spectacular.
Black Leopard Tieks - A limited edition for Black Friday in 2022.
Seafield Check Tieks - These were a limited release for Tieks Anonymous members on Facebook.
Magick Tieks - Another enchanting print from Tieks.

So, which pair of Tieks shoes do you think is right for you?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, so leave me a comment.
Be sure to check out the following posts if you're a fan of Tieks:
Amber Ludwig says
I have a wardrobe full of basics as well!! I love anything that pops and shine so I am totally drawn to the toascani color or the romantic blush!! But seriously, Tieks are all so gorgeous that I wish I could own them all!! One day, when I win the lottery 😉
Ruth V. says
Thanks so much for your comment Amber! I wish I could own them all too... I'm slowly working on it 🙂 Toscani looks amazing!
Jenna kankolenski says
Do they come inwide, aI just love them, but can't buy them beacause a small bunion from nursing so many years
Ruth V. says
Hi Jenna! No, they don't have a wide size, but you may find that they fit. My mom also has a bunion from many years of being on her feet as a nurse and she can wear Tieks without a problem. She's got Taupe and Matte Black so far 🙂
Dean says
I also have a wide foot and I have arthritis bad in my feet. These shoes feel like socks with a sole
Love them
They are so soft and I am so thankful I have found them. I will never buy any other shoe
Ruth V. says
Hi there! I'm so glad you love your Tieks! Thank you for your input, I'm sure it will help a lot of other ladies 🙂
Lynne says
Hi! I normally wear a 7 1/2 (because of my wide food). What size would you suggest? I have been reading about them for months now really want to try them~
Ruth V. says
Hi Lynne! I'd recommend trying a size 8. The return/exchange policy is fantastic (just don't wear them outside), so if the 8's are too big you can put in an exchange request for the 7 and they'll send them to you so you can try them side by side. Hope that helps and that you take the plunge 🙂
Holley Holmberg says
My issue with ballet flats is that they rub the Achilles tendons until they bleed. Have you had that issue with other ballet flats or with Tieks?
Ruth V. says
Hi Holley! I haven't had this issue with Tieks. I have had rubbing issues with other brands (although I usually remove them far before they ever bleed). You could try a pair and wear them inside of your house for a bit to see if they'll rub your Achilles. Just don't wear them outside in case you need to return 🙂
Phyllis says
I also use wider. . Does she get the next size up?
Bettina Ortiz says
I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet which is like the diabetic neuropathy. It burns and it feels like one is walking on tiny needles. I have eight pairs of Tieks and they are completely comfortable!! In fact amazingly so!! I have never heard of anyone, regardless of foot problems, who cannot wear Tieks! Try one pair and you will be sold! I especially like the snake prints!!
JJ says
Glad to know about the comfort as I get the needle thing too. But also, I wear a size 9 (Euro 39) - a long foot but narrow heel. Flats generally get wider by a size 9 and you walk out of the shoe or the heel falls off. Are there gathers at the heel to keep it in place?
Colleen says
I have bunions and Tieks are the first shoes that cause me no pain! I definitely recommend!
Jo says
Thank you! I was wondering about how they would fit. I always buy wide width and still experience pain by my he end of the day.
Sylva Smith says
I too have a bunion after having both surgically removed in 1973 due to arthritis when I was only 20! But I bought a size larger and it's fine. Just make sure the edge is pulled up over the bunion itself! Got mine for Christmas and only wore them outside the house once... not a winter shoe for our weather!
Kyanna says
I love this post so much!!!
Ruth V. says
So glad Kyanna! I hope it helps!
Pam says
I have a narrow foot will these shoes fit
Ruth V. says
Hi Pam! Tieks usually work for narrow and wide feet so I'd definitely try them if you're interested.
Pat Taylor says
Where do I buy them at?
Ruth V. says
Hi Pat! You can only purchase new Tieks at Tieks.com - enjoy!
Rebecca says
Thanks so much for this article Ruth! I've been going back and forth on which color to get for my first pair and your comparison photos were exactly what I needed!! I'm headed to the Tieks site to order right now!! Thanks again!
Rebecca
Jennifer Kieswether says
Question please, I just got my first pair. My left foot is slightly bigger than my right and my tieks are tight on the left foot. Should I order the size up or will they stretch out?
Jennifer
Ruth V. says
It depends on how tight they feel. The leather will stretch if you need it to, and you can even order a shoe stretchers from Amazon, but if they're painful I would put in an exchange request for the size up and see how those feel.
Shawn says
I'm considering my first pair. So I think I have narrowed it down to matte black or Cardinal red or cobalt blue. Hoping there won't be much toe cleavage, if any, as I am not a fan of that. I can see how one could get addicted.
Ruth V. says
If you happen to get some toe cleavage, just exchange and see if the other pair has less 🙂 Cardinal Red was my first pair and I LOVE them so very much. They're my most worn pair for sure. Let me know which pair you get!
Rose Callahan says
I found you very helpful in deciding last year to take the leap and give that Tieks a try. So glad I did I'm now the proud owner of two pairs and one on the way. Thank you so much for all your help!
Rose Callahan says
The colors I shows on the first pair was black, the second pair is fuchsia and the one on the way is cobalt blue!
Ruth V. says
Yay Rose! I'm so glad you took the leap! Thank you for your awesome comment 🙂
Sharon Montgomery says
These shoes in taupe or gold is nice so my choice is gold a nice neutral.
M F Brown says
Thanks for this awesome side by side color comparison. I have made orders and cancelled them a million times because I couldn't choose the perfect color! Then, of course I was afraid of spending so much money on a shoe that I couldn't try on before purchasing. I have narrow-ish feet, but can have a bunion if I am doing a lot of walking in bad shows. It becomes very obvious or it can become very irritated in an ill-fitting ballet flats, which isn't always apparent during the "trying on phase." I usually don't want to spend a lot of money on the "walk to the dinner table--only" shoes, if you know what I mean. So your mention of your mother not having a problem with the shoes has also given me extra courage to maybe hit the "send" button the next time I make an order.
Many of my friends have encouraged me to try Tieks. They, like me, have horrible back problems and we are business women who do trade shows and must be on our feet for many hours at a time. So, how am I going to narrow it down to one color???
Ruth V. says
Hi there! It's hard to narrow it down, but I'd recommend going with your gut instinct. For my first pair, I was going to order Matte Black, but Cardinal Red was really speaking to me, so I went for those. I've never regretted that choice! Let me know which pair you decide on 🙂
Lindsey T says
I've always loved the chic and sophisticated style of Tieks ballet flats! They look so comfortable. I'm saving up for the Lovestruck pair. Rose Gold glam are lovely too, although Champagne was a very close second(even though they are discontinued..). This is a very helpful visual tool to find the perfect pair. Thanks for posting,
Ruth V. says
Thanks so much for your comment Lindsey! Tieks are so comfortable and you can't go wrong with Lovestruck - they are stunning in person!
Jennifer says
Looking forward 2 wearing them on my trip.. Thank u 4 sharing?
Sapana V says
I actually don't have any but yet, but your blog is helpful to make a good decision. Hope I will be able to buy a good pair for myself.
Ruth V. says
Hi Sapana! I hope you can get yourself a pair. They're incredible!
Jo Ann Messina says
I've been looking at the black ones for a year now, I have a pair of wonderful black flats that I love, one reason, is they have an elastic band that crisscross around the ankle. This is supposed to be for beauty sake but I have MD and my darn shoes won't stay on my feet unless I'm strapped (lol) into them. Yes, it's an oddity and I have become very good at affixing straps to most of my slip on. Let me get to my question.. the little blue strap on the back of the heel, will I be able to slide an inch wide elastic through it?
Thanks
Jo
Ruth V. says
Hi Jo Ann! The little blue stripe on the back of the heel is sewn directly onto the shoe so there isn't anywhere to slide an elastic through. That's a bummer! I wonder if you could have a cobbler add small loop of leather to the back of the heel though?
Geisa says
I really love them,I want to order a pair but dont know what color.I think black ones because it will fit with everything, but they are absolutely gorgeous
Ruth V. says
Hi Geisa! You can't go wrong with black. I wear mine very often! Let me know what you decide 🙂
Joanne Erausquin says
I am the mother of the bride and looking for comfortable and supportive flats.. These look perfect.
Ruth V. says
Hi Joanne! Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming marriage! I think Tieks will be fabulous for this occasion 🙂
Glenna Rose says
The side-by-side comparisons are such a great idea!!! I spent 2 months debating what color before my first pair.
Ruth V. says
Thank you so much for your kind words Glenna! I hope this post can be a great resource for all the Tieks girls out there 🙂
Beth Grijalva says
I had a pair of black flats in another brand, so I went with metallic pewter for my first pair. They are a perfect neuutral for me. Black flats are great, but I already had others.
Ruth V. says
Hi Beth! You're right, Metallic Pewter is a fantastic neutral. I was surprised by how much they go with! I wear them pretty often.
SuAnne says
My son is getting married in November and I've been eyeing and saving for the metallic pewter. Do you think they'll look good with wedding attire? I like the slight shimmer of them without being too shiny. Just want to make sure what I end up ordering will be "fancy" enough. I have MS, so I've been looking for a great pair of flats as heals of any sort just aren't an option for me.
Ruth V. says
Hi SuAnne! Congratulations on your son's upcoming wedding! I love my Metallic Pewter and they look great with so many things. They definitely have a slight shimmer to them can be dressed up or down. I think the Metallic line is a bit dressier than the Classics for sure so they're probably a great choice if you don't like the glittery look of Starstruck/Lovestruck or the "foily" look of some of the prints.
Lynda Allshouse says
I love teiks but don't own a pair yet. Trying to decide on color. I am leaning towards silver or gold.
Ruth V. says
Hi Lynda! That's a tough decision. You might also consider Wild Copper or Romantic Blush. Those have a great mixture of metallics and are great neutrals. Let me know what you decide!
Cece says
Oh I loved your side by side pics! I didn't notice the Pacific green though! I feel like I have a lot that could match it. Btw, I'm saving up for my first pair and trying to decide between Lovestruck, metallic bronze or Pacific green. The leopard is also catching my eye. What are your thoughts in this dilemma?
Ruth V. says
Hi Cece! It's funny you should mention this! I just added Pacific Green to my wishlist. I feel like I need it now! When I first started buying Tieks, I didn't really think about Lovestruck or Starstruck because I wasn't sure if I wanted a lot of sparkle, but they are OUT OF THIS WORLD! I really don't think you could go wrong with any of those though! They are all pretty neutral in their own way and would match a lot.
Elle says
I would go with the Pacific green because they have a cool vintage vibe to them. I'd love to see them paired with a circle skirt or black fitted ankle length pants. I know Audrey Hepburn would approve!
Cece says
Thanks ladies for the replies ! I actually went with Metallic Pewter and they arrived today. They are much tighter than j thought so I think I'm going to have to request bigger size to compare. I think I will add Pacific green on my wish list for sure❤
Elle says
Nice choice! Bummer the size wasn't perfect. Hope the exchange goes smoothly ?
Cece says
The bigger size arrived in just a couple of days. The length is much better but still feels right on my big toes. I do have a bit of an arch so maybe may take a little more getting broke in? These comments are so helpful to me, thanks!
Mary says
I thought mine might be to tight at first but after wearing for awhile they are perfect. They are the only flats I can wear as they don't slip off my heels like every other shoe does. I LOVE them and wear them a lot ‼‼
Ruth V. says
Thanks for your comment Mary! I'm so glad you love them!
Alex says
Hello! I'm already an avid Tiek wearer and I've been debating between taupe and feather grey. I have matte black and chestnut, but would like something in the middle. Any chance you have a side by side of these? Thanks for such a great article!
Ruth V. says
Hi Alex! I'm sorry, I don't have Feather Grey (yet). Taupe is a really unique color and I love it so much more than I could have ever imagined. You could always order one and then put in an exchange for the other. Tieks will send you the second pair and then you just return the ones you don't want. Their return/exchange policy is incredible!
Bettina Ortiz says
The Tieks customer service is THE best!! They are great to work with and I love the way they package them!! I love the little carry bags! I can't wear heels for long but sometimes like to get very dressed up for things like the theater and the ballet. I take my Tieks along in their cute bag for after the performance when there is a lot of standing, talking, having a drink!
Elle says
Taupe is what I would choose. Grey is getting a lot of recognition as a neutral however the taupe has a warmer hue to it and would be more flattering on most skin tones. If you are going to wear a WOW outfit, having a more subtle shoe in a taupe or nude will really keep the eyes on top and add a touch of freshness and sophistication to the look.
Kelsey says
I have the Feather Grey - they were actually the first pair I bought. I don't have the Taupe to compare them, but the Feather Grey is a very neutral grey. I got them instead of Taupe because they were my first pair and I wanted to be able to wear them with blacks and browns, and they look great with anything!
Jean Campbell says
Grey if you have grey hair. Taupe if you want your legs to look longer and you have a tan.
Rlm says
I have real broad/ wide feet . Wld they fit comfortably. Without hurting and squishing my toes. Want to use it Europe where you have to walk a lot and some of it being cobbled stone. I generally get a 7.5 size or 7 dd which size wld be best for my kind of feet.
Ruth V. says
Hi there! My feet are pretty average, but I'm in a few Tieks chat groups and from what I hear, ladies with wider feet have a lot of luck with their Tieks. I'm not exactly sure about which size you should order, but you should definitely reach out to the Tieks customer service team at [email protected] for guidance. They are amazing!
Fanné says
@RLM,
I have wide-ish feet & my Tieks fit famously!
Hope that helps 🙂
Elizabeth Smith says
I'm in the wide foot club, too. Length-wise, my feet are between a 9-9.5. But I usually get 10s because of the width issue. Tieks only have whole sizes, and they recommend to size up if you have wide feet, so I went with the 10s.... and totally hated them. The elastic for the toe cut right into the wide part of my foot at the base of my pinkie toe. I wanted so badly to love them, after hearing so many positive reviews. Maybe that's why I tried sizing down and exchanging them for 9s. Oddly enough, they fit like a dream. The shorter length meant that the toe elastic hit just enough higher on my foot so that it didn't cut. And even though they were a size down, the leather has enough stretch for my wide feet. I would totally buy another pair of classics, but I'm still a little leery of the patent and vegan ones, as I don't know that they'd have the same stretch as the buttery leather. But hey, their customer service is *great,* so I suppose it wouldn't be the end of the world to try them out!
Wende Garrison says
Elizabeth Smith,
Your comment is so helpful. I am an 8.5 and I ordered both a 9 and an 8. The 9s were way too big, but I felt like the 8s were too small. They were right. Are you saying that you felt they stretched a bit?
I would love that. I wanted to love these so so badly.
But I didn't feel like I could bet $200 on them stretching when I didn't know if they would.
Can you tell me?
Thank you!
Bettina Ortiz says
I have been to England probably 13 times and I take ONLY my Tieks! ( and a pair of Crocs for rainy days, lol!). They are the most comfortable walking shoes ever! It feels like you have nothing on your feet!
Lori says
Hi Ruth!
Thank you so much for this article. I got a pair of California Navy for Christmas. Do you think that taupe truly goes grey or does metallic pewter go better with grey?
Thanks!
Lori
Ruth V. says
Hi Lori! I think Metallic Pewter would probably go better with grey. If you'd like, I can take a picture of a grey shirt next to my Taupe and Metallic Pewter Tieks so you can compare. Just shoot me an email to [email protected] 🙂
Marsha Fais says
I have plantar facitis and I need shoes with a supportive arch. Do the shoes have that?
Ruth V. says
Hi Marsha! Tieks don't have a ton of arch support, but a lot of ladies use a removable, hidden arch support in their Tieks. Hope that helps!
Melissa says
I just got a pair, and I definitely could use arch support. Any ideas on what inserts people are using?
Ruth V. says
Hi Melissa! I've heard quite a few ladies mention these (here's my Amazon affiliate link): http://amzn.to/2j6nl5o - most of the ladies said they were able to get them at their local pharmacy or Walmart/Target where the Dr. Scholl's insoles are located. Hope that helps!
Leigh says
I'm trying to decide between metallic pewter and the silver screen. Is the silver too flashy? Any thoughts?
Ruth V. says
Hi Leigh! The silver is definitely a bit flashy to me. I tend to wear more solids/neutrals, so I like a little bit of flashiness on my feet though. Metallic Pewter is a little more neutral. Hope that helps!
Cammy says
I got metallic bronze as my first pair this fall and absolutely LOVE them! They are also a great neutral. I have saved up for my next pair and am debating between cardinal red and fuchsia. I can't decide! I have a lot of grey, navy, black in my wardrobe . . . anyone have a suggestion between these two choices? .
Ruth V. says
Hi Cammy! I'm so glad you love your bronze Tieks. When it comes to Fuchsia and Cardinal Red, I don't think you can wrong with either. Both of those would match your wardrobe of grey, navy and black, but I think the Cardinal is more of a year-round color. I noticed I didn't wear my Fuchsia as much in the fall/winter this year, BUT spring and summer are coming so those might be a good choice if you want to brighten things up! Let me know what you pick!
Cammy says
I've naturally been drawn to the Cardinal red since I first saw Tieks online. I live in Kansas so won't wear them much at all from December-February. Would you say the Fuchsia is a shocking pink? I'm a little worried they might be too bright for me. I have similar coloring as you - dark hair and eyes but somewhat fair skin. I'm just going to have to be a big girl and decide - we leave on our first cruise with our daughters in less than 3 weeks and I'll definitely want to bring my Tieks!
Ruth V. says
No, I wouldn't say Fuchsia is shocking (not like the retired Pop Pink - that one was BRIGHT). Fuchsia is probably my second most worn pair (after Cardinal Red). They're definitely one of my favorites.
Cammy says
I chose Fuchsia! Just received my shipping confirmation . .. and I already have $40 in my "Tieks" fund for the Cardinal Red:) Hope to order those in a couple of months! Thanks for your help!
Elle says
Trust your instincts, get the red!
Patricia Wittman says
I received a pair for Christmas size 7. . Taking a while to break them in. In my job it required me to wear heels for years. Now I have bunions on the side base of my big toes. I think a wide would have been more comfortable. Do they have any plans to make these in wide?
Ruth V. says
Hi Patricia, I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems breaking in your Tieks. I haven't heard about any plans to release a wide version, but you may be able to gently stretch them if you double up on socks and wear them around the house. I've also heard of ladies using a two-way shoe stretcher (like this one on my affiliate Amazon: http://amzn.to/2j6rsOR) - but I don't have any personal experience with that. If you're a half size you could also consider going up a size. Hope this helps!
Robyn says
Do they run true to size? I have been considering buying cardinal red
Ruth V. says
Hi Robyn! I think they do run true to size. I'm an 8.5 or 9 in most shoes and all of my Tieks are size 9. Cardinal Red was my first pair and I absolutely adore them. I hope you love Tieks too!
Cathey boozer says
I bought a size 9 and they were a little roomy so I sent back and got an 8. They killed my feet the first few times I wore them. My toes stick through the top.....does it do this for everyone? Thinking of trying a size 9 to see if it molds to my foot. I was disappointed but got lots of compliments.
Ruth V. says
Hi Cathey, I'm sorry to hear you're having sizing issues. My toes do produce a little "toe bump" in some pairs and I've started adding a layer or two of moleskin to help with that. This is what I use: http://amzn.to/2kuXPHu - I simply cut a piece to fit inside of the toe box and then stick it to the top (inside of the shoe). I'll be sure to write a post about how I do that with some before and after photos soon. It wouldn't hurt to try the size 9 since Tieks has such a great return/exchange policy (just be sure you don't wear them outside). Hope this helps!
Aly says
Hello Ruth,
Do you have the video for the "toe bump"? I have the silver and absolutely love them! I'd like to get the red next but afraid the toe might show too much.
Ruth V. says
Hi Aly! The video is embedded right in this post: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/2017/02/moleskin-tieks-flats.html
Hope that helps!
Kathryn Findley says
I normally wear an 8, but when I wore the 8 in Tiek's not only did my toes push through, but the bottom part "chipped" after a while. Tiek's allowed me to exchange them for a size up, and I never looked back. I have 3 pairs, and my blacks one have last for years. My other two pair are newer. They are addictive.
Melissa says
I just got a pair for Christmas. I've been wearing them around the house with socks to try and break them in, but they're still a little tight, especially by my big toe. I've reached out to Tieks and sent pics, and they seem to be the right size. Any tips for helping break them in?
Ruth V. says
Hi again Melissa! I haven't had to stretch any of my Tieks, but from what I've read in some of the Tieks forums, a lot of people have success with doubling up on socks or using a two-way shoe stretcher like this one (from my affiliate Amazon): http://amzn.to/2j6rsOR - you can move those little plugs around to stretch specific areas. Hope this works for you!
Mary Jane Isaacs says
I bought the taupe and black for a trip to Italy next summer...but I think I will order the champagne after seeing them on your foot. thanks! Hope I can walk all day and night in them!
Ruth V. says
Hi Mary Jane! I'm so glad you love your Tieks. Unfortunately, the Champagne was a limited edition color that was only available during Black Friday weekend. I'm not sure if Tieks will be bringing them back again.
Becky says
I have one pair of Tieks which I love. Question: I really need a 5.5, but ended up with a 6 which are a little big. Do you think they stretch enough that a 5 would end up being perfect?
Ruth V. says
Hi Becky, I haven't had to stretch any of mine. From what I've read, some ladies that are truly 1/2 sizes like to go down a size and stretch them (which can take a little effort) and others size up for comfort. I think if the 6's don't flop off while you walk, you could try a cushioned insole to take up a little space. I did that with a pair of mine that were a little roomy and it worked like a charm, plus it protects the leather insoles which is nice. I used these air pillow inserts (Amazon affiliate) - http://amzn.to/2k5xBu6 and they worked great, but they take up too much space in my Tieks that fit perfectly. I hope that helps!
Ellen says
My husband is buying me a pair for my birthday next month! I initially thought feather grey, then black, then taupe, and now metallic bronze?! I only get one pair to start so trying to decide something that will work for spring through fall...is the bronze really fall-ish?
But this is great- I love all your feedback 🙂
Ruth V. says
Hi Ellen! I don't think the Bronze is too fall-ish. It's a beautiful neutral. Taupe is pretty amazing in person too. I'm a total sucker for the full grain classics. I wish I could own them all!
Jennifer B. says
I bought the Bronze Tieks and I absolutely love them! It's a good color and I wear them all of the time. I personally don't think that they are too fall-ish. They are beautiful and I can't wait to get another pair...I would also love to own them all!
Kirby says
wonderful post - wish I had seen it just a few days ago when I ordered a pair of golden glitz! I could not decide between Golden glitz and metallic gold… Still not certain I made the right choice, as the metallic gold felt more neutral/beige and matte but the golden glitz may be a little too much for me! Do you have a comparison of these two? your thoughts?
Ruth V. says
Hi! I don't have a comparison between those two, but a good one would be my Silver Screen and Metallic Pewter. You're right that the Metallic Gold is a bit more neutral and the Golden Glitz will be pretty shiny. You might be pleasantly surprised though! I do love my Rose Gold Glam and Silver Screen (which are in the same "family" as Golden Glitz). Worse case scenario you can easily swap them for the Metallic Gold though. Let me know what you think once they arrive!
Sarah says
I'm worried about "toe cleavage". Do Tieks cover the toes?
Ruth V. says
Hi, Sarah! I feel your concern for toe cleavage - I'm not a huge fan myself. I guess it depends on how long your toes are. Mine are pretty average and most of my Tieks provide great toe coverage. I have a few pairs with a shorter toe box, but when I'm standing or walking it's not very noticeable. If you do get a pair with a shorter toe box then you can always exchange since they're got a great return/exchange policy.
Nanette says
I have large joints by my big toe, like bunions. They do not bother me if shoes fit me well. Will the shoes work for my situation? I am also aging, and have had a hip replacement. I need to waer flats more than I would like. These look wonderful!
Ruth V. says
Hi Nanette! My mom has a pretty large bunion and she wears Tieks from the classics collection (Taupe and Matte Black, so far) without a problem. She said they're the only flats that don't hurt her bunion and she can wear them all day. Hope that helps!
Dhaynes says
I bought the black and Tiek blue Tieks and I absolutely love them!! I really want the mustard and purple snakeskin ones but I'm still thinking on it. Too many to choose from!
Ruth V. says
There really are so many great colors and prints to choose from! I keep adding to my wish list. The struggle is real 🙂
Bernadette says
So excited to order my first pair, your article has been so helpful in my choosing a color. Of course I want to order a pair that's going to match with everything. Would you choose obsidian black or metallic pewter as a day to night crossover. Also, noticed on your affiliate link it takes you to amazon. Does amazon not sell tieks any longer?
Ruth V. says
Hi Bernadette! I personally love my Obsidian Black Tieks and wear them pretty often. My wardrobe has a lot of black in it though. Metallic Pewter might be a more neutral color if you've got a more diverse wardrobe. Both are great choices! Amazon does not sell Tieks and the only place you can get them is on the Tieks website. Those Amazon ads are more for related products like insoles and polishes.
Nanette says
Another Nanette, and a new Tieks addict! My first pair were Obsidian Black. It did take a bit of break in, but I have been wearing them everyday since July. Presently sitting in my front window waiting for the postal carrier with my Cardinal Red...bit I really NEED the Lilac ones!!! I found a great long sleeved shirt at the sporting goods store that is “Tiek blue”, so I use it as a topper on neutra outfits. Who needs groceries, my feet are happy!
Monica says
Hi there! Have you seen the chestnut color in person?! I'm thinking they would be a great "neutral" for my first pair as I wear a lot of black and brown and colors. Do you agree or think another color would be better?! Thanks!
Ruth V. says
Hi Monica! I haven't seen them in person but I've looked at a lot of "real life" photos of them online. If I were going to add a tan/brown to my collection, I would absolutely choose Chesnut. I think the color is warm and rich. They look beautiful with most skin tones too. The other color you might consider is Taupe. It's a fantastic neutral and the color is really awesome in person.
Monica says
Thanks! I think I'm splurging on them for my 40th! I'll look at Chestnut and Taupe!
Marcella says
Chestnut was my first pair of tieks and still is my most worn pair. I LOVE them and they go with a whole lot more than I thought they would. I took them last summer to Greece with me and wore them all over and was very pleased at how comfortable they were- even on cobble stone paths! I've never regretted my chestnut purchase! Now I'm debating on my 4th pair color choice 🙂
Ruth V. says
I think I need to add Chesnut to my collection!
Monica says
Thanks! I'm glad to hear they go with a lot!
Karen says
My husband gave Lilac tieks to me on my birthday and honestly I had no idea they even exist.
I exchanged them for metallic bronze and I absolutely love that color. I think I'm gonna get addicted to these.
Ruth V. says
It's not a bad addiction to have! I just got Lilac and love them! I'm so glad you're loving the Metallic Bronze 🙂
Amy says
This was so helpful. I recently (finally) decided to try Tieks and have spent so much time on the Tieks site trying to select my first pair! Your side-by-side comparisons gave the perfect insight to help me make a decision. Thank you!
Ruth V. says
So glad I could help Amy! I'd love to hear what you think of them!
Rachel says
Yes! These up close pictures and side to side comparisons were just what I needed to prioritize my wishlist and prompt me to grab my first pair!...Thank you so much!
Ruth V. says
Hi Rachel! Thank you so much for your comment! I'm so glad it helped 🙂
Lisa Sparks says
This has been so helpful. I truly believe lilac will be my next pair or electric snake. Arghhh I can't chose!
Ruth V. says
Tough choice, but both are amazing so you can't go wrong either way! 🙂
Denise ODanel says
I finally to the plunge and bought my first pair and ordered Lovestruck, they are like socks with a sole!! I loved them so much, I ordered electric snake, they should arrive today. What an investment.
Ruth V. says
So glad you love them! How are you liking your Electric Snake?
Kristin Lee says
Where did you get those beautiful leather monogram bracelets that match chestnut Tieks so perfectly?!
Ruth V. says
Hi Kristin! Those are from Ellie's Sparkles! I have a whole collection of her bangles and cuffs and I love them!
Ann says
Hello Ruth,
Question- which kind of Tieks are the "toughest?"
I tend to be hard on my shoes- they get scuffed in the back heel, they lose color on the front toes, they get wet and dirty, etc.
What would you recommend?
Thanks.
Ann
Ruth V. says
Hi Ann, I'd probably say that patents are the toughest and most durable. Try not to rest your foot when you're driving though because that can wear down the leather on the heel over time (which can happen to any shoe really).
Deborah Heath says
I have narrow feet. I usually buy a 10N, 10S, or even 10AA. In pointy toe heels I have had some success with 9.5M. What size Tieks should I order? Thanks, I really want a pair of soft , easy to pack flats.
Ruth V. says
Hi Deborah, I'd think you'd need a 10. Tieks has amazing customer service and an easy return/exchange policy if those don't work though! Feel free to reach out to [email protected] for their official advice 🙂
Michelle says
I have yet to own a pair of these, but they are definitely near the top of my wish list! I feel it would be smart of me to go with a more neutral color, but I'm so drawn to the Sunset Stripe pair! I appreciate your color charts - I'll be looking at it quite a bit until I finally get a pair!
Ruth V. says
Hi Michelle! I hope you can get a pair soon, and if Sunset Stripe speaks to you then I'd go with your gut 🙂
Stephanie says
I have always wanted a pair and thought I'd start with a nuetral color but since they are so pricey just hadn't got there yet. When a friend just gave me a Giftcard for my birthday. So I will have to put in some $ but it's the push I needed. Can't wait! So excited!
Ruth V. says
What a great friend! Let me know which color you decide to get! 🙂
dawn says
Where can I buy these
Ruth V. says
Hi Dawn, they're only available on Tieks.com 🙂
Mary says
I am interested in buying a pair of Tieks, but I don't know whether to go with Taupe or Chestnut. On your site the Taupe appears very neutral, while they appear more grey on the Tieks site. The Chestnut looks kind of orangey in color on the website. Do you have any experience with the Chestnut? (I was so hoping you would have a side-by-side for those two colors.).
Ruth V. says
Hi Mary! Sorry I don't have any experience with Chestnut. I'm not sure they would go well with my skin tone. Taupe is a perfect neutral though!
Ivan says
Hi Ruth,
I love you beautiful collection of Tieks , all of them cute and perfect to dress up or down but always being comfortable. Thanks to your blog I started to buy and wear my Tieks as my everyday shoes and I can tell you that wearing them is like wearing slippers after a breaking period of some days worn with socks at home. I currently have Navy. gold and cobalt blue and I got chestnut that will arrive soon ! I wish I win the lottery to get all those beautiful colors ! Love your blog !
Have a nice day
Ivan
Ruth V. says
Thank you Ivan! I'm so glad that I could spread the Tieks love! I really appreciate your sweet comment 🙂
Rhonda says
I just received a Cardinal Red pair in a size 7 for my birthday. I normally wear a 7 and in something's a 7.5, the 7's are snug. I REALLY wanted the Fuchsia color, so I ordered the Fuchsia in an 8. I LOVE the way the size 8's feel. The size 7's are breaking in nicely. I have plantar fasciitis, can't wear flats for long. I'm wearing the 8's all day long. Love these!
Ruth V. says
Hi Rhonda! That's great to hear! Glad you found love with the 8's and that you can wear them for longer periods.
Stacy says
Wanting to take the plunge to invest however, I just have to ask; after wearing tieks for a while, do they smell? I mean other flats I own start to get that funky smell from sweaty, constantly moving feet. Do these retain that smell as well? Thanks so much for your help!
Ruth V. says
Hi Stacy! None of my Tieks smell, but I usually try to let them air out for a day before wearing them again if I've worn them for a very long period of time (and since I live in Florida my feet can get a little sweaty). My Cardinal Red pair has been worn the most and even those don't smell, despite having darken insoles. I've heard that some ladies wipe their Tieks out with an alcohol-free baby wipe and some tea tree oil from time to time and that helps eliminate any odor problems they're having. Hope that helps!
Jennifer says
Hey I was wondering how long they take to break in?
Ruth V. says
Hi Jennifer! I think it depends on the person and the foot, but most of mine were comfy right out of the box. A few pairs took a few days to break it, but I didn't have any significant discomfort. Hope that helps!
Deborah Bertrand says
Hi, I wear a 9.5 or 9 occassionallty and have a more narrow foot. What size should I try? Thank you.
PS. Love all the tips asnd comments!!.
Ruth V. says
Hi Deborah, I'm an 8.5/9 and wear a 9 in all my Tieks. If you can occasionally wear a 9, then you could try a 9 in Tieks. They have a great exchange policy (just as long as you don't wear them outside), so if the 9's end up being a little too short in the length you could request the 10 and they'll send them right out with a prepaid label to return the 9s. You might also want to reach out to Tieks to ask them about sizing. They're super helpful! [email protected] is the email I use.
gloria patterson says
you really have the TIEKS disease! In our family its called the SHOE disease........ 3 of my nieces would kill to have all of your TIEKS..
I learned a lot here thanks
Ruth V. says
You're right Gloria! It's not a bad disease to have though 😉
Rachel says
I've been drooling over Tieks ballet shoes for over a year now. Your post has prompted me to grab my first pair...in Poppy-when it comes back for the spring/summer. I REALLY want the rose garden, but I'm going to start slow, figure out what size works best, make sure my feet can handle them...then splurge.
Ruth V. says
Good plan Rachel! Poppy is really fantastic and I'm sure you'll love them!
AmyB says
Poppy seems a little shiny? Almost like patent leather. Is that just the photo?
Ruth V. says
It is a little shiny. The top grain leather (like Poppy, Cobalt, Clover) have a little bit of sheen/shine, whereas the full grain leather ones do not. It's not as shiny or durable as patent though.
Christine says
Is it ok to not wear socks with these? I know some people like to wear no show socks with their flats but I prefer not to. I'm worried about ruining them if I don't wear socks with them.
Ruth V. says
Hi Christine! It's absolutely okay not to wear socks with these. The insoles will darken over time but that's perfectly normal. If you don't want that to happen though, you could pick up a pair of thin insoles. I just got these Shoeslulu inserts and I LOVE them (and I can switch them between pairs because they aren't attached to the shoe): http://amzn.to/2mQAAG9
Glynna says
I am a little concerned by they only come in full sizes. Should I size up or down? A 7 1/2 is what I always wear. Help?
Ruth V. says
Hi Glynna, I think the recommendation is to go down to a 7. Unless you have a wide foot, then go up to an 8. I'm an 8.5 in most shoes, sometimes a 9 (and always a 9 in sneakers), so I buy size 9 Tieks and they're perfect. Hope that helps!
Della Favorite says
I've been dying to try a pair, but how do you justify the price tag? I reached out to Tieks and they said they don't offer any discounts anymore. I have to be on my feet a lot so I'm thinking of investing in one pair, but then I feel guilty for spending that kind of money.
Ruth V. says
Hi Della, I was a nurse for 8 years before staying home with my kids so I was always on my feet for long periods of time. I learned that investing in quality shoes was a must for me, so I have no problem with investing in Tieks. I wear them so often and for long periods so they're totally worth it to me. I've also sold some of my other shoes, boots and bags and that's helped fuel my Tieks addiction 🙂
Christine W. says
do you happen to have both Wild Copper and Rose Gold Glam to post a comparison? Thanks in advance!
Ruth V. says
Hi Christine, sorry I don't have Wild Copper (yet).
Melia says
I love the look of these and I bought a pair of black ones and they rub my ball on top of my big toe and make a sore. I didn't send them back and wore them several times thinking I needed to break them in but to no avail was thinking about ordering a taupe pair but hesitate because of this I wear a 9 in most flats. Do you have any suggestions?
Ruth V. says
Hi Melia, do you have Matte Black or Obsidian Black? I've heard these two way shoe stretchers work great for stretching certain pressure points since you can adjust the plugs: http://amzn.to/2nJrLkd
Melia says
I believe they are the matte black, I would like to order a taupe pair but I don't want them to hurt. I don't understand about the plug thing you are talking about can you elaborate?
Ruth V. says
Hi again! The plugs are part of the shoe stretcher. Take a look at this one: http://amzn.to/2nJrLkd and if you scroll through the images you'll see what I mean by the plugs. Let me know if that helps!
ANNDRA says
Thank your posting this handy guide! Seeing the colors side by side was super helpful in choosing my newest edition. I bought the ballerina pink thinking they would be a good add to spring outfits. What I found however is that in most outfits - they also pair as a fun neutral. They definitely are a soft pink - but go with a ton of my wardrobe. I see getting lots of wear!
Ruth V. says
Hi Anndra! I love Ballerina Pink too! I want to add them to my collection too. They are such a beautiful neutral.

hello Ruth thank you for the special feature on Tieks I sooo love them too they are the perfect ballet im a size 12 and fit beautifully lovely soft and comfy fit Tieks have come up with the perfect ballet I think every woman should have at least 1 pair lovely soft and comfy shoe candy for their feet and also thank you Ruth for the lovely colourful pictures of the gorgeous ballets nice blog Ruth bye for now Gary
Ruth V. says
Hi Gary! Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad you love Tieks too!
Jen KC says
I love my Tieks! So far I have Ruby Red Patent, Obsidian Black, Metallic Pewter, Copperhead Snake, Lovestruck, Romantic Blush, Starstruck, Arabian Night and I just ordered Poppy 🙂 I'm kicking myself that I didn't snatch up the Champagne shoes when I had the chance - do you think they'll bring them back this year?
Ruth V. says
Hi Jen! I'm so glad you love your Tieks too! I'm not sure if they'll bring Champagne back again. You could reach out to [email protected] and see if they'll give you any hints.
Joan M says
Thank you so much for the side by side pictures! It eliminated 2 from my list and added 3 that I had not considered 🙂
Seriously, I now have a better idea of what order to get them in for this year's coming events.
Ruth V. says
Hi Joan! I'm so glad I could help 🙂 There are so many great choices - you really can't go wrong with Tieks!
Sheri says
I have two pairs (patent aqua and purple) and this article with your pictures was perfect in helping me decide what pair to get next. Thank you so much!!
Ruth V. says
So glad I could help Sheri!
Bailee says
I am teacher and am told Tieks are the way to go for comfortable shoes to wear all day. However, I always range somewhere between a 9.5 or 10 on shoes and am nervous about investing the money for shoes that won't fit. Any suggestions on sizing?
Ruth V. says
Hi Bailee! I'm an 8.5/9 and all of my Tieks are size 9. I'd try a 10. They have a great return/exchange policy (as long as you don't wear the shoes outside) so you can try them. Let me know what you decide!
Gail says
I'm about to buy my first pair of Tieks and I can't decide on what color. Poppy has sold out so that option is gone. I'm considering the lemon patent but not sure I'll like shiny shoes. Can you tell me how shiny the patent is? I love how you did the side by side comparison but didn't see mustard and lemon compared. Can you offer me any advise?
Thank you in advance.
Ruth V. says
Hi Gail! Poppy should be restocking (or so I've heard in chat groups). I would try to contact customer service - there is a chat function on the website or you can try them on Facebook or email - and ask if your size will be restocking. If that's your first choice then I'd wait for it if it's coming back. I don't have Lemon so I couldn't do a side by side, but the patents are pretty shiny! I hope that helps!
Nanette says
Hi Gail, the patents are shiny, but their durability can’t be beat!
Shaleen Singh says
I just purchased my 1st pair of Tieks today! I have a quick question - Are these made to wear with socks made for ballerina shoe types or without? I'm sure everyone has their own preference but just curious what the majority of women who own a pair prefer.
Thanks,
Shaleen
Ruth V. says
Hi Shaleen! You can absolutely wear no-show socks with these if you can find the right pair. I'm still hunting for a good option (and actually working on a post about it).
Laurel says
I notice on all your pictures that your toes are smushed into the Tieks. Do they bother you any?
Ruth V. says
Hi Laurel, I don't think my toes are smushed at all. I love my Tieks and they feel great and mold to my feet.
Erin says
Just got my first pair of tieks in metallic pewter. Did your big toes stick up when you first got them? Mine are and I don't like the way it looks. I have a size bigger coming so I'm hoping that will fix the issue but was just wondering if you had that problem.
Ruth V. says
Hi Erin! Yes, they did. But, a few layers of moleskin really helped! Here's how I did it: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/moleskin-tieks-flats/
Jennifer says
Hi Ruth, I loved this post! I have had my eye on tieks for a while now and your enthusiasm is about to make me take the plunge:) Just one question- I am on a pretty tight budget and been hoping to find a sale or coupon, but I have been hard pressed to find any. Do you know if any ever come out? Thank you so much!
Ruth V. says
Hi Jennifer! I'm so glad you loved the post. I'm sorry to say that Tieks does not offer sales or discounts. That being said, I really do believe they're worth every penny. I hope you can get a pair soon!
Jennifer Plumstead says
Hey there,
Loved your article! But, I was just wondering - are they comfortable? I have a pair of ballet flats that I really can't wear. The part that goes across my toes or right above my toes ends up killing me after about 30 minutes. They aren't Tieks, but I just assume that they'd have the same effect. Your thoughts?
Thanks,
Jen
Ruth V. says
Hi Jen! They are SUPER comfortable to me. I wear them all day long. They're made of soft leather so they mold to your feet and stretch/move with you. I would definitely give them a try.
Wendy says
Beyond super helpful! Thanks for sharing!!!
Ruth V. says
So glad to help Wendy!
Sharyn says
So glad I found this post! I just received my blush patent (second pair after black) and was trying to decide if I wanted to exchange for ballerina pink. I think I'm sticking with the blush - just a bit more fun for me for spring/summer. I didn't want gold or silver, just neutral with some zing. 🙂
Ruth V. says
Hi Sharyn! I love Blush Patent and think they're a great neutral with zing! Good choice 🙂
Linda Manns Linneman says
I just love these. It is my goal to get a few pairs. Thank you so much for sharing this great information
Tara says
Thank you for the side by side comparison on 2 different colors, very helpful! I just learned of these shoes and received my first pair today. After viewing these photos, I need to get more colors! Also, the color comparisons show me that I can really add "pop" to my wardrobe going with a "different" look that I would normally choose! Thank you again!
Ruth V. says
Hi Tara! So glad this post is helpful for you! Colorful Tieks are so fun and I hope you can add more to your collection 🙂
Leela says
Seeing the different colors side by side was SO helpful, thank you! I was pretty sure that I wanted to start my collection with the burgundy, but now there is no question. Like you I live in jeans and dark colored tops, so that rich burgundy shade will be neutral enough to go with everything, while being a bit more exciting than basic black!
Ruth V. says
Hi Leela, I think Burgundy will be perfect for you! The color is so rich and amazing!
Sara Barker says
I'm surprised to see that taupe is your only classic neutral. I hopped over to see if you had a chestnut/camel comparison. I have had both chestnut and taupe (at the same time) and the taupe were just too neutral; it looked like I wasn't wearing shoes, and didn't have any toes! LOL I may have to order a pair of camel just for comparison's sake, of course! 😉
Ruth V. says
For comparison's sake, of course! Yes, I don't have that many brown/tan neutral since I don't wear a lot of brown clothing. Taupe definitely meets all my needs for that department.
Casandra Galotti says
Thanks for this great article and comparing all the beautiful colors to one another!! Can you post a picture with Rose Gold Glam next to Blush Patent? Thanks in advance!!
Ruth V. says
Sorry Casandra! This was sent to SPAM for some reason. I saw your message on Facebook and sent you over a few pics 🙂
Kristen says
I'm considering Romantic Blush vs. Lovestruck.....any opinion on which is more versatile or any difference in their durability??
Ruth V. says
Hi Kristen! I'd say Romantic Blush would be more durable. Lovestruck is definitely more delicate. That being said, Lovestruck and Starstruck are amazing in real life 🙂
Kristen says
Hi again,
I took the plunge and got Romantic blush. With it being my first pair I'm not sure if I just didn't know what to expect or if there really is an issue with the ones I received. I have normal width feet and don't usually struggle with flats, but these were tight in the toes and rubbed the tops of my big toes as well. I'm wondering if you've noticed a difference in the leather of the solid matte colors vs, the metallic pairs and if by chance that may be part of my issue??
Ruth V. says
Hi Kristen! I'm so sorry you're having issues! I haven't really noticed a difference between the solid matte colors vs. metallics, besides that some of my metallics show my "toe bump" a little more prominently and require a double layer of moleskin. Have you worn them outside? They might just require a little more breaking in if you haven't worn them a lot yet. Some women use a shoe stretcher or stuff the toe box with thick socks to help stretch them a little.
Sarah L says
Wow! That took a lot of time to put this great post together. I've never tried these but love the look of the azure snake ones.
Karen Sruggs says
Ha - found this post on Pinterest on Friday so decided I needed to expand my Tieks (have black, burgandy and taupe).
Just broke it to hubby that I ordered 4 pair (olive, mustard, poppy and gold) - He just rolled his eyes. Thanks for the comparisons as it helped with my obsession decision.
Ruth V. says
Hi Karen! I'm so glad you expanded your collection! I hope you love your new Tieks!!
Linda Manns Linneman says
These shoes are so cute. They sound and look so comfy. I really want a pair of these for my closet. I am trying to save up to get a pair. Thank you so much for sharing these
Susan (Between Naps on the Porch) says
Fabulous collection and this post is excellent for helping folks choose their next color of Tieks! I forwarded a link to this post to my daughter-in-law who is an avid fan of Tieks. I know she'll enjoy it as much as I did.
Ruth V. says
Thanks so much Susan! I really appreciate your kind words!
Suzi Daffron says
These are darling. How much are they? Where can I order a pair (or two)?
Ruth V. says
Hi Suzi! They range in price from $175-$345 and you can purchase them at Tieks.com - hope that helps!
Kris says
Just wondering if it's normal to have over a thumbs width of distance to the end of the shoe. I also have a wide width and wear between a 7 1/2 and 8 so I ordered the 8. I just ordered a 7 for an exchange but I was wondering if I should keep the size 8 that is loose even on one heel or keep the smaller pair that might have a tighter width. When I spoke with customer service she just said some people like their shoes larger. It's a personal preference. That really didn't help me.
Thanks for your help.
Ruth V. says
Hi Kris! I'm glad you put in the exchange to compare. More than a thumb's width is probably a much, but it really is personal preference. If the 7's feel way too tight, I'd probably stick with the 8's if they don't flop off your feet. I'd also probably add an insert to help take up a little bit of the space in the length if the width feels okay. I really like the Shoeslulu inserts. Hope that helps!
Sara says
Thanks for the time and effort you put into this and your other posts about Tieks! I am expecting my first pair (metallic pewter!) to arrive tomorrow and am so very excited. I'm stocked up on moleskin and planning to order the inserts and polish you recommended soon. I've shared your posts with a few Tieks-wearing co-workers and they love your posts, too.
Ruth V. says
Thank you so much Sara! I'm so glad you've found my posts to be helpful. I truly appreciate your kind words 🙂
Heather says
Thank you for the side by side comparisons! This is a huge help, but may have made things more difficult! I have been saving up and stalking the website for quite some time and had finally decided on Poppy for my first pair only to have missed my chance (my size just sold out). I would still like to get a pop of color for my first but am having a terrible time and now neon is coming out next week. Do you have any experience with the neon? Too many options... torn between cardinal red, mustard, tangerine, olive or waiting to see what the neons actually look like. Any advice? Thank you!
Ruth V. says
Hi Heather! I'm so glad you're going to get a pair of Tieks! I did have Pop Pink at one time but ended up selling them because I just didn't reach for them that often. They are BRIGHT! I wear my Fuchsia and Cardinal Red very, very often though. That being said, I do plan on buying Pop Pink again since I've been wearing a lot of Lilly Pulitzer lately 🙂 That probably doesn't help but you can always order one then put in an exchange immediately so you can have two pairs to check out side-by-side.
Naomi K. says
Hi Ruth!
I fell in love with the look and design of Tieks about two years ago, but I was unsure if they were worth the price. Now, after reading a few of your articles and others, I'm ready to buy my first pair. I'm going to Disney World in November and thought the Cardinal Red or Ruby Red would be cute. Thank you for the side by side pictures they really help!
Cheers,
Naomi
Ruth V. says
Hi Naomi! Thank you so much for your comment! I hope you love your Tieks as much as I love mine 🙂
Arielle says
Thank you so much for this post - the side by side pictures have been so helpful. I've been considering Tieks for months now...just haven't been able to make a decision on WHICH COLOR! lol. So I was ecstatic to come across your post. Genius idea! I hope I love them as much as everyone else seems to...they are quite the investment but if they're that great a shoe I'm hoping it's worth it. How long did it take you to collect this many!?
Ruth V. says
Hi Arielle! I'm so glad this post has been helpful to you! I've been collecting Tieks for almost 2 years. I got rid of a lot of my other shoes once I found these 🙂
Victoria says
Going to Europe in November, I have a hard time finding comfortable enclosed shoes since I live in Florida.
Need something comfortable, will be sightseeing, packing minimal due to flights and river cruise, also back issues, wear 8 1/2 or 9 depending on shoe? Best color to go with jeans, skirts, etc...? Thanks vickie
Ruth V. says
Hi Victoria! Tieks will be perfect for your trip. I'd go with a size 9. As far as color, it really depends on what you wear the most. I wear a lot of jean and black, grey and white t-shirts so Cardinal Red provides a great pop of color. Those were my first and I probably wear them the most. Hope that helps!
Seneca says
I love this article, but I'm still stuck on a color. I can't pick between the Cardinal Red or the Burgundy. I thought I had decided, but then I second guess my decision.
LINDA N. SCHRADER says
I would choose METALLIC PEWTER TIEKS...because they would go with everything. I also like CHAMPAGNE. I'm older & don't wear heels anymore for fear of falling or tripping, but wore my share when I was younger.
Lee Ann Carter says
Love love love your website! Thanks so much for all your posts concerning Tieks. I have gotten so much good info from all your hard work.
Now that you have the burgundy Tieks are you wearing the Cardinal Red as much? I'm have a difficult time deciding between the two shades.
Thanks so much!
Ruth V. says
Hi Lee Ann! So glad you're here! I actually haven't even worn the Burgundy yet. I plan to this fall though!
Ruth V. says
Hi Lee Ann! To be honest, I haven't really worn the burgundy out of the house yet. I usually just reach for my Cardinal Reds since they're so they're my go-to pair. I do plan on breaking them out this fall though. They are so rich and beautiful! I've already started buying some coordinating tops to match.
Christina A. says
20 pairs of Tieks?! Wow! I love Tieks too and I love those burgundy ones!
Ruth V. says
I've got a bit of a thing for Tieks 🙂 The burgundy are truly beautiful. Such a rich color and perfect for upcoming fall.
Donna says
I didn't see a comment about Paradise Blue, they are so shiny and glittery, looks like princess shoes.
KittyLuvr says
Do you have any special tips for keeping Tieks clean and fresh smelling on the INSIDE? I love my Tieks and wear them a lot but I noticed the inside leather is starting to darken. Thanks and the side by side comparison helped tilt me toward Cardinal Red for my next pair!
Ruth V. says
Hi! I'd recommend wearing insoles. I LOVE my Shoeslulu inserts from my affiliate Amazon: http://amzn.to/2g8ZKka
Madeleine Davis says
A special pair ... I myself have 9 pairs! #10 Ruby Red Patent, I sent to my 52 year old daughter in celebration of the 44th anniversary of her total repair of a congenital heart defect! We always Celebrate with "red" and our hearts filled with gratitude. She adores them. I have a tip on keeping the leather shoes clean and "buffed" .... a tiny dab of Vaseline on a q-tip or cotton ball, perfect for maintaining softness.
Ruth V. says
I love this! Thanks for the tip too!
Debbie says
Any nurses out there wearing these shoes while working at the hospital? Also, how do these work in wet weather? Do you ever wear socks with them?
Ruth V. says
Hi Debbie! I was a nurse (staff nurse, then an ARNP) for 8 years and I think it really depends on what kind of nursing you do. If you're an administrator and sitting/standing most of the day then they'd definitely work. I know a lot of clinical pharmacists that wear them also, and they're on their feet most of the day. If you're likely to come into contact with any bodily fluid, then I'd probably stick to something a little more heavy duty and full-coverage, like Dansko.
I do wear socks with mine on occasion: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/best-no-show-socks-for-flats/
I hope this helps!
dawn says
so i wear a triple E width in a size 8 1/2. What size should I order
Ruth V. says
Hi Dawn! I'd try a size 9. Hope that helps!
Debbie says
I keep reading about TIEKS. I really want to try them. And your Blog is by far the most informative out there. But I'm still a little skeptical . I have a neuroma on both feet, causing my second toe to " bump" up at the joint. Most shoes have to be either loose or have a soft toe box to be comfortable. What do you think? Should I go for it?
Ruth V. says
Hi Debbie! If you want to give them a try, I'd try a pair of classics in full-grain leather. The leather will mold to your feet and hopefully not put too much pressure on your neuromas. If you think they won't work, they have a great return policy (just don't wear them outside). If you think they might work, you can also get a shoe stretcher with those movable pressure point plugs to stretch that one area a bit. Hope that helps!
TIFFANY R says
Try the vegan line. They stretch quite a bit with me and my constant swelling. I don't even notice my joint pain when wearing them
TIFFANY R says
I love love love the veagans. They were my first pair and I wear them everyday.
Phoebe says
Hi Ruth you are so brave to wear all those bright and bold color. I love them too on someone else. I don't have a pair yet but I been wanting to get one for s while but not sure if it's worth $200. After reading your blog and everyone's comments. I think I will get one in pink. I'm a size 5 and I always have hard time finding shoes that fit. Thanks for the info it's very helpful.
Phoebe
Ruth V. says
Hi Pheobe! The great thing about Tieks is that they come in so many colors and there is something for everyone. I hope you love yours!
Julie says
Do they not have the champagne ones anymore? They look almost like a gold?
Ruth V. says
Hi Julie! Champagne were a limited release, only sold on Black Friday weekend in 2016. They're similar to gold, but a bit lighter and more shimmery.
Julie says
Golden glitz silver screen
Thanks for your response. I did notice I missed that you had about the champagne in your post. So sorry.
Another question. I know you talked about the silver screen but what's your option on on the golden glitz. I really love a good gold pair of shoes (sandals in summer) as my neutral and can't figure out what would be best. I also want a comparable silver after the gold. This will be my first pair so I cannot decide. I love pink but trying to get something more neutral to start. Thanks.
Alice says
I love the look , I want a pair but I want to start with a basic color like Black or Navy. I'm leaning toward the Navy since a good Navy shoe is hard to find. I worry about paying so much for a shoe that I can't try on for a good fiit. I read about ordering another pair for size, but what if I don't like the fit is there an easy Refund.
Ruth V. says
Hi, Alice! Yes, refunds are easy! In that case, you'd just request to return both pairs and it's free shipping 🙂
Laura Alvarez says
I have to thank you for this post. I've been wanting a pair of Tieks for years but just couldn't take the plunge. Then I came across this post today and you have sold me. I just ordered my first pair. I'm so excited and can't wait to get them. I couldn't decide between the mustard yellow, cobalt blue and tangerine. I too am a gators fan. My son is a student there now. After looking at 100s of pics on instagram and I've decided on the mustard yellow. (sorry Gators) but yellow is my favorite color. Thanks again. I hope this is the beginning of a growing collection for me.
Ruth V. says
Hi Laura! I LOVE Mustard! I've been wearing mine a lot lately. I hope you love your new Tieks! And, Go Gators 🙂
ellen beck says
These are cute. I admit I dress like you do- jeans and black top or plain color. I love the prints on these but normally wear tennis shoes. Yeah I am pretty casual.
Shelley says
Thank you for this visual! I got my first pair of
Black matte Tieks a few months ago! I love them.
I am also a Florida Gator so I am probably
Getting the Tangerine ones next! I bet in a few years I will have 20 pairs too!!
Ruth V. says
Go Gators! I'm so glad you love your Tieks!
Christina says
Would you be willing to do a side by side of the rose gold glam and romantic blush? They are both beautiful, but I've got to narrow down my list for my husband!
Ruth V. says
Hi Christina! Sorry, I don't have Romantic Blush any longer. I had ordered it when deciding between those and Blush Patent and ended up keeping Blush. You might be able to find someone with both pairs in the Facebook group Tieks Anonymous. Hope that helps!
Heather S says
Tieks are the best!
Angela says
I am getting ready to make my very first Tieks purchase. I can't decide on the color and I would love some help. I want something neutral yet something that will stand out. I wear tons of black but have tons of black shoes so I would like to get something a bit more adventurous. I thought I had decided on taupe. But, now I'm second guessing myself and considering metallic pewter. I guess my big question is, will taupe go with black? Does it have enough grey in it? Or is it more of a brown color? I would get tons of use out of them if they could be worn with blacks and browns. But, if they won't go with black I probably need something that does. Please give me some advice. Thanks!
Ruth V. says
I think taupe is a little more brownish than grey. I think Metallic Pewter would be a great choice! Hope that helps 🙂 Let me know which pair you decide on!
Angela says
Thanks for your help! I really wanted and needed the taupe but felt like I would wear the pewter more. I couldn't decide. My husband said he would get me a pair for Christmas. I let him surprise me by picking between the two colors. He picked taupe. They arrived today. So far I love them. Unfortunately, it's cold and rainy here so I can't wear them out of the house. Thanks for your great blog. It has helped a lot with this decision. I already have mole skin in the toes.
Jamie Jacobs says
I started with Camel for a neutral, and it was definitely LOVE! Copperhead Snake was my second pair, and Arabian Nights are on the way! Also, I am pretty sure Santa put a pair under my tree. I have tried so many different brands, and Tieks are the first and only that are truly comfortable and worth every penny.
Patty says
Thanks for the comparison. What are your thoughts about the delicacy of the rose gold glam and the lovestruck? I own the metallic bronze and they are more delicate than my classic pairs. I'm looking for a rosy color for my coach melon rogue purse that I received for the holidays. So both of those caught my eye. And the blush patent too which seems more durable because it's lighter.
Ruth V. says
I think that Rose Gold Glam is very durable; much more than the 'strucks. Patents are also very durable. I'm not sure which would be the best match for your new bag though...
Cindy D. says
I think my first pair would have to be the leopard print to me they are the most versatile, the go with almost everything.
Gary Clitheroe says

Erica B says
This was a super helpful post! I have been searching for weeks to find a pair of flats to wear with my wedding dress. Since I’m already tall and my dress pretty well covers my feet, I really wanted comfortable shoes that I knew I could wear again. I have never worn Tieks before, but decided to go with the Romantic Blush pair. The side-by-side comparison pictures really gave me idea of what they might look like “in real life.” I’ve always been a fan of Tory Burch, but wasn’t finding what I wanted on their site. I love the variety of colors here, and it’s awesome that the blue stripe gives me “something blue!” I was torn between Romantic Blush and Moonstuck (because I was initially looking for something blue)... but figured Romantic Blush felt a bit more delicate and pretty for a wedding day. Thanks again!
Ruth V. says
Hi Erica! Congratulations on your wedding! I'm so glad this post was helpful to you. I'm sure you're going to be a beautiful dress and your blue soles will add a fun pop of color to the night. 🙂
Lisa says
I am wondering about the durability when wet and also if they stretch if they get wet. I am thinking about my first pair for a week long Florida trip but want to make sure they are a good fit.
Thank you,
Lisa
Ruth V. says
Hi Lisa! I've gotten a few pairs wet (like SOAKED) and they actually fit better, although it does darken the insoles (which I don't mind at all). I think it helps them mold to your foot. They'll only stretch if you need them to. I hope that helps!
KellyD says
So, I received my first pair for Christmas (size 10, which is my size), I've been wearing them a lot, but I'm just not convinced they are all they are advertised to be. I expected them to be super comfortable, but instead I feel like they are tight. Tight at the end of my toes and tight at my heel. How long does it take for them to break in. Really looking forward to the superior comfort, but it's just not there. Any ideas?
Ruth V. says
Hi Kelly! I'm sorry you're not feeling the love quite yet! Have you tried gently stretching them? Sometimes 24 hours with a shoe stretcher works wonders!
Gail says
What do you have to do to condition/maintain them? I've noticed the matte ones you have look the best, do you do something special with them?
Ruth V. says
Hi Gail! You don't really have to do much to them, but I do clean and condition my Classics when needed. I've got a whole post about it here: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/how-to-take-care-of-your-tieks/
Tina R. says
Hello!
What are your thoughts about the feather grey vs taupe? (Sorry if you already talked about this.) I love my black tieks and decided to look for a neutral/nude color as we head into spring. I am looking at both the grey & taupe but not sure which one to choose.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Ruth V. says
Hi Tina! I don't have feather grey, but from what I've read and from photos I've seen, they're pretty light colored. I think feather grey or taupe would make a great neutral for most wardrobes. What I like about taupe is that they can sort of shift to brown or grey depending on what color you're wearing. They're really versatile and the color is awesome in person. You could always order one and then put in an exchange immediately for the other. That way you could have them both side by side to determine which one goes best with your skin tone. Tieks return/exchange policy is amazing and it's free shipping both ways. I hope that helps!
Tina R says
Thank you! Feather grey is out of stock right now, so maybe it will end up being taupe!
Also, please know that your blog helped me pick out my first pair of tieks! Love them!
Dawn says
Hi Ruth
Thanks for sharing this post! I’ve been a great fan of tieks as well, and am deciding on my next pair. The romantic blush leather I got seem to wear out quicker than the plain leather ones. The leather on the last toe is torn.
Do you have this similar experience?
Ruth V. says
Hi Dawn! No, I haven't had this experience with any of my Tieks. Have you tried reaching out to Tieks customer service yet?
dawn says
oh! I just thought it might be natural for treated leather to wear off quicker than non-treated leather hence never thought of contacting the customer care team. Will give it a go! Thanks for your suggestion!
Jaclyn says
This post was PERFECT and really helped me narrow down which colors to look at. I THINK I'm relatively rough on my shoes, or simply clumsy. Even patent shoes of mine tend to get scratched on occasion. I am leaning towards burgundy over the cardinal red, and was wondering if you would recommend the ruby red over the burgundy? It would be for frequent wear - both casual and professional.
Ruth V. says
Hi Jacyln! If you're tough on your shoes, I'd get the burgundy since you can polish the scuffs with Tarrago (they've got a polish that is a perfect match for Burgundy). I hope you love them!
Jaclyn says
Thank you so much!
Which color for the Tarrago polish? I'm looking on Amazon - is it the Dark Burgundy Self Shine Cream Kit?
Bree says
How do you care for the snakes?
Ruth V. says
Hi Bree! I just posted about conditioning and waterproofing my snakes here: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/chamberlains-leather-milk/
Mindy says
Hi Ruth,
I bought my first pair of tieks in matte black in September. I wore them in the house and thought they were ok, not great yet but I figured we would get around to that part. I normally wear a 7.5 and got the 7 because I have narrow feet. I did try on the 8 but felt they would slip off of my feet. I called tieks last night because I got them out again after winter and they feel really tight at my big toe. They said I should try stretching the leather with a golf ball, have you ever done that?
Ruth V. says
Hi Mindy! I haven't tried the golf ball method, but I know people who have. I use a shoe stretcher when I need to stretch a certain area: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/how-to-stretch-leather-shoes/
Leah Larkin says
Thank you for all your wonderful posts about Tieks. I think I have read them all and they were a tremendous help in deciding to take the plunge and buy my first pair. I have six pairs now. Just added leopard print and you are right they are fabulous! I appreciate all the information you have provided on sizing and how to care for Tieks, but my favorite part is all the photos you posted of two different colors side by side. I was torn between a few shades like burgundy or cardinal red, and your photos helped me decide. (I went with the cardinal red and I'm so glad I did) Thank you again 🙂
Ruth V. says
Hi Leah! Thank you so much for the wonderful comment! I'm so glad this post has been helpful. Cardinal Red is one of my favorite pairs 🙂
Katherine York says
Where can I find the torquois suede look flats ASAP for a June wedding?
Ruth V. says
Hi Katherine. I'm not quite sure about that. The only flats I wear are Tieks and they do have a beautiful Turquoise blue color, but they're patent.
Christina Gould says
I'll take one of every color, lol. They look very comfortable. Thanks for posting!
Ruth V. says
That's my goal too! I'm slowly working on it 🙂
Laura W. says
I love the Clover color the most I think, but I would have to start with a more reasonable color first to justify the cost. If I ever get a pair I will come back here to check all the compariosns again. That was super helpful!
Kerri says
I have several pairs of Tieks and just got a gift card from my (very awesome) friends for my birthday. Am wondering about the Lovestruck color. I am looking for a color choice that matches with almost anything. So....jeans and a solid blouse? A little black dress? Any colors you think Lovestruck would NOT match with? I tend to wear darker colors in general. Thanks for this great post and for your opinion on this.
Ruth V. says
I think Lovestruck would be a lovely choice and they're very versatile. Just know that they're more delicate than other pairs due to the glitter. Taupe, metallic gold or pewter would also be good choices.
Laurie says
First read about these shoes a year ago, and ultimately decided to not spend nearly $200 on a pair of shoes. I am a barefoot girl whenever possible; if I have to wear something on my feet, it's sandals. Traveling to Europe again, so was revisiting a purchase, thinking perhaps leopard might be a versatile choice.
Now, not only am I purchasing Tieks, I am spending almost $300 on a pair (copperhead snake - was hoping to see a pic on your site!), PLUS two more pair! (ballerina pink and cardinal red). I have several more colors on my list, really more than I will ever need! I do want to try for size and comfort before I get any crazier here. 🙂
I blame you lol I thank you also, though. Looking at your pictures were quite helpful. and resulted in me making several choice changes. (I am sad they no longer carry giraffe - that would have absolutely been a choice for me!) The ballerina pink appear much more subdued than I imagined - I had a pair of this color flat, though I wore them so much I have destroyed them! I am still not sure if I should have chosen the blush patent for better durability.
The most unexpected pair I loved was rose garden. I do not have enough in my wardrobe (and I am too hard on my shoes) to justify those, but I imagine they are pretty unique in person. I didn't see many current posts from you, so I find myself wondering which colors you have since added.
Ruth V. says
Hi Laurie! Thank you so much for your comment! I actually have Copperhead Snakes on the way too! I'll be updating this soon with a few new pairs like Chesnut, Copperhead, Sand Snake, Alpine Grey, Cream, Toscani, Mint, and Aquarella.
I'm so glad this post could help you make some decisions. Tieks aren't cheap, but they're worth every penny to me!
The good thing about choosing a classic (like Ballerina Pink) is that you can clean, condition, and polish them when needed. I've got an entire post about that here: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/polish-tieks-leather-ballet-flats/
Let me know how your Tieks collection grows!
Laurie says
It’s been a while but here is an update! I brought my copperhead snake pair with me to Greece, wearing them on the long travel (over 22 hours due to a long layover) and I am sorry to say some of the pattern wore off within the day! The wear was along the top of the heel area. I now have a spot over my big toe on the right shoe, also worn off. I plan to reach out to customer service to see what can be done.
Due to the early wear, I was going to return my other two unworn pairs as well as the damaged copperheads.. Life was crazy though so I figured I would wear them a couple of days until I could get out and buy replacement shoes. (I’m a teacher and school was starting.) Well, it turned out those copperheads were so versatile I was wearing them almost every day! They did hurt my feet a bit by the end of the day, so I switched to an old pair of old, worn but comfortable flats I have. Well, the sole support was SO different, that didn’t last but a day! I switched back to my Tieks and wore sandals once or twice when the copperheads didn’t work with my outfit. One day I just wasn’t feeling the sandals so I decided to wear my cardinal red Tieks instead of returning them. They too hurt my feet a bit by the end of the day, in the same area as my first pair. I figured I would use a tennis ball to stretch them a bit, but I never got around to it. I realized recently that neither pair really hurts any longer so I no longer need that tennis ball...
Bottom line, I still have not worn the ballerina pink (they look much different against my skin than your pictures!) so I might exchange them for a different color. I’m thinking about cool grey, but I’m not sure how they will look with my olive skin. I could really use a neutral of some sort. I am adding azure snake for a different color palette than my copperheads. I’m not done shopping, and really came back here looking for your color comparisons again. I didn’t see cool grey vs pewter, have you done that combo?
BTW, I saw your comment about lucking out with the pattern placement on one of your patterns. I had called Tieks with a fit question, and she suggested I order another pair of copperheads to compare the pattern placement. I was glad she suggested it, as I liked the first pair but loved the second!
Sorry for the length, but you have done such a wonderful job providing so much detail I thought I would give a detailed update.
Thanks again for all the info you share!

I like looking at these shoes, knowing that they don't fit my budget and I will never have a pair. The color are so pretty I think my favorite is the Azure Snake Tieks.
Some time show a picture of how you store your shoes.

Hi Ruth,
Thank you for posting such an extensive review with so many photos. The side by side photos were very helpful in helping me choose the right shade of red.
You did great job with your Tieks review video too - enjoyable to watch, clear and to the point!
Ruth V. says
Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it!

If you have feet like mine, go up a size. I have narrow feet, a high arch and hammer toes on the second toe of both feet. I bought these for a trip to Italy and only had two weeks to break them in before leaving. I could have returned them but really wanted to take them on the trip and hoped for the best. I did walk in them but my toes hurt a lot. Thankfully, I had tennis shoes with me too. I am now wearing my Tieks around the house a lot before my next trip to stretch them. These are California Navy in a size 9. I wish I had ordered a size 10. I usually wear a 9 or 9 1/2. I'm determined to make them work because I really like them other than the toe issue. I recommend going to the next size up if you have hammer toe issues, even if your feet are narrow.
Ruth V. says
Hi Cynthia! Thanks for your comment. I don't have any experience with a hammer toe but I'm sure others do and will appreciate this info. Thanks again!
Shannon says
Awesome comparisons!!! I was surprised not to see camel! Would of loved a comparison of them to metallic bronze and mustard! I’m having a hard time visualizing their color but feel like your pics are spot on colo wise to other pairs I have
Ruth V. says
Hi Shannon! As soon as I add Camel to my collection I will absolutely post a pic. Thanks for the suggestion! I know that's a popular color.
Alex says
Hi, I’m considering getting rose gold glam, but worried about how they’ll hold up. How are yours doing? How do you care for them in comparison to the traditional matte leather ones? Thanks!
Ruth V. says
Hi Alex! My RGG have held up really well! I find that the "Old Hollywood Series" (RGG, Golden Glitz, and Silver Screen) are very durable. I haven't had any problems with mine (although I don't wear them a ton since I have a large rotation). I wear insoles with mine to keep them clean inside but haven't had any scuffs that need paint/polish.
Alex says
Hi, any tips for cleaning and polishing the rose gold glam Tieks?
Ruth V. says
I'd probably wipe RGG with a damp cloth to clean and then conditioner them with a leather conditioner as needed. I'm not sure polish would work on these with the crackled finish. I haven't had any scuffs on mine.
Kj says
Hi! Thank you for the various color comparisons! I also have a growing Tieks collection (somewhere in the teens..;)). I’m currently awaiting the arrival of the camel and matte black, both in slightly used condition. I’m also waiting on a pair of fuchsia (exchange) pair.
My most recent purchase and new FAVORITE pair of Tieks are the leopard. Like you I purchased a pair of Leopard Tieks a couple of years ago and returned them because they looked and felt dry. I’m so glad I repurchased them again. I did feel guilty at first for paying that much for a pair of shoes but overcame that quickly :). They are absolutely gorgeous and so versatile.
I also have the olive now 🙂
. I’m also pretty easy on my feet. I’ve decided there are some things in life worth investing in. Shoes are something I wear everyday and comfort is a must. For me, Tieks are absolutely worth the investment.
I purchased my first pair in navy two years ago and was very impressed with the quality and customer service. I initially went with a 7 since I typically wear a 7 1/2 but after walking around in them decided to try the 8. I wear an 8 in my classics and patent Tieks.
Most of my Tieks were extremely comfortable right out of the box. I only had a slight break in period with my patents, like one or two wears and now they are just as comfortable as all my other Tieks.
My chestnut pair is my most worn pair...until I received my leopards. I’ve recently made it a point to rotate which pair I wear each week.
I have a couple more that I’m eyeing but cannot decide between the cardinal and burgundy. I’ve always loved a deep red color to accent my outfits with. I wear a lot of dark colors (black, navy and fall colors) and love black & white. I’m excited about the fuchsia pair and hope to get a lot of wear out of them :).
I did order the taupe and agree they lean more towards a brown. Such a beautiful color but may exchange them (for fuchsia) since I’m not sure I’ll wear them as much. It is a beautiful neutral though...decisions, decisions...
Again, thank you for this post and for the one about color matches for our Tieks! That is such a HUGE help and now I can keep my shoes in tip top shape.
Ruth V. says
Thanks so much for your comment! I'm glad to hear that you love your Tieks and our feet sound pretty similar.
I think Burgundy would be a perfect color to purchase now for fall. The color is really amazing. I wear my Cardinal Red more than Burgundy, but that will probably change with the seasons soon. Oh, and you should definitely get Fuchsia (if not now, then in the Spring for sure). I love the color and it matches with a lot more than you'd think.
Thanks again for reading!
Kj says
I received my fuchsia pair and I absolutely love this shade of pink! I can definitely see me wearing these often. Such a gorgeous color that will go nicely with a lot of my clothes. I’ve wanted the fuchsia pair for a long time and so glad I finally own a pair.
I would love to see a comparison of the camel and mustard if possible. I have the camel, which I love. It’s a nice subtle warm color. Just wondering if I need the mustard as well. The chocolate brown is also on my list. I don’t see many photos of them.
Maybe someday I’ll own the tortoise.....:)
Thank you again for all the photos and comparisons. It really does help. I’ve also been purchasing matching Tarrago shoe creams for every one of my classic pairs.
Ruth V. says
Hi Kj! I'm hoping to buy the Camel color soon to take that comparison shot. A lot of people have asked for it, especially now that fall is here.
Lynne B says
I like the leopard print tieks. I haven't tried these shoes yet though.
Wanda buchanan says
I have a new pair, and my toe is at the end of the shoe. Will these stretch. They are the size I wear, size8, or do I need a size up. Thanks
Ruth V. says
They will stretch if you need them too, but if your toe is at the very end, it doesn't hurt to request an exchange for the next size up to see if those might fit better.
Pam says
Should we automatically order 1 size up from our normal size ?
Ruth V. says
Hi Pam! Tieks are pretty true to size, so order your actual size. Unless you're a half size, you might want to order the next full size up.
Kristy says
I am going to NYC and will be walking tons and I was wondering if these would be appropriate shoes or are walking shoes better?
Ruth V. says
I wore mine all over NYC and was totally fine! It really depends on your feet. I have easy-going feet. I wrote all about it here: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/are-tieks-good-for-traveling-yes/

Thank you Ruth for your thorough and insightful post on Tieks and how to choose the right pair for one’s lifestyle. I am a teacher on my feet all day and a mom of a busy kindergartener. I saw someone else’s Pinterest post on Tieks, but never read it. I just went straight to the website and was overwhelmed by all the variety of styles and colors. In a good way because I’m an art teacher. The colors that stood out to me were “sold out” and had a “wait list”. So I created an account and started wish listing a few of the classics. Then, a few days later (today) I saw your post on Pinterest and decided to read your take on Tieks. I love how informative and visual your review is and that you also did a comparison of the values of the colors (light hues vs darker hues). Do you have an art background? I’m a Florida girl too. ? Anyway, I do have few questions, is it better to order my first pair of Tieks through the Tiek company or on Amazon by another seller? Being on a teacher’s salary, I don’t ever splurge on shoes because I have big feet, size 13 and it’s hard to find quality shoes in my size. My feet grew a whole size after having a child. The places that do have quality shoes in my size are way out of my price range (like Jimmy Choo sneakers start at $500 / $600 dollars). I definitely want comfort, quality, and support in my everyday works shoes. But the Tiek shoes are not a bad price-point compared to Jimmy Choo shoes. I think it’s worth the investment and to save my feet in the long run. What are your thoughts? Do they send coupons to valued customers like yourself? I’m a bargain shopper. Thanks for your post and feedback!
Ruth V. says
Hi Dinah! Thanks for your kind words! I would definitely order directly from Tieks. That way you can return them if they don't fit. I understand wanting to grab a bargain (these don't ever go on sale or have coupons), but for your first pair, I'd buy directly from them. It's also free shipping and returns/exchanges. I hope that helps!

I am so happy I found your blog (and You Tube videos). I love the side by side comparisons, thank you so much! This is an oddly specific question, but do you happen to have a Rose Beige/Camelia Gucci Soho Disco? I'm trying to figure out the best color to match that shade. Figured it was worth asking even though I know it's a long shot.
Ruth V. says
Sorry, I don't!
Barbara says
I really want to be sold long ago but you do not offering them in my size: 4. Why? Don’t lots of women and girls wear 4?
Barbara
Ruth V. says
Hi Barbara, there is now a "Little Miss Tieks" for children and smaller sizes that may work for you. They are available in matte black, Razzleberry and Cotton Candy.
Marsha M. says
I can't stress how helpful your side by side comparison was. I'm thinking about ordering camel. I wear a 10.5 narrow. I'm afraid 10 may not stretch a half size and 11 may be too wide. Do you think there is a size that would work for me? Is there a full refund on everything shoe, (shipping, handling, tax)?
Ruth V. says
Hi Marsha! I'm so glad the post has been helpful! I would try a size 11 and then order the 10 as an exchange so you have both side by side to compare. Exchanges are free and if you return them, it's a full refund of everything (tax included, shipping is free). Just be sure to only try them on indoors since they need to be in original condition to exchange or return.
Nancy says
I enjoy your thorough and informative videos. Question, are these completely flat or is there a slight wedge?
Ruth V. says
Hi Nancy! Some of mine lay flatter than others, but most of them do shape to a wedge.
Lynn Wiley says
I believe she's asking if they have a wedge heel or are a flat sole. I could be wrong. But the soles are flat, without any heel at all, correct?
Ruth V. says
Yes, the soles are completely flat.

Thank you again for your wonderful post. I have referred to it many times. I currently own six pairs of Tieks and I love them all. I am trying to decide what pair to get next. The Love Struck or the Moonstruck. I want to wear a pair of Tieks for my wedding, but also have a pair that I would enjoy wearing afterwards. Your post is helping me once again. Thank you.
Erica Dombey says
Hi! I'm considering my first Tieks purchase. If you were to choose the most versatile color, which would you recommend? Please not black or white as I never wear those colors.... Thanks!!
Erica
Ruth V. says
Hi Erica! It really depends on which colors you wear the most. I tend to wear a lot of jeans with black or white tops, so Cardinal Red, Fuchsia, and Leopard are probably my most worn Tieks. What do you wear the most?
Pam Booth says
Love your review. But where is Wild Copper? Seems it would go with your hair very well!
Ruth V. says
I don't have that pair... yet 🙂
Lauryn R says
Very informative post, thank you so much for sharing! I do not own a single pair yet, but they do look comfortable and I love the HUGE variety of color choices. 🙂
Angela says
I’m about to order my first pair. Wanting cardinal red but not sure if I should get the ruby red for the patent. Could you go into some detail about patent vs regular: Care, lasting, comfort, breaking in, fitting, etc. I’m not hard on shoes but I want them to last. Thanks ?
Ruth V. says
Hi Angela! The classics really mold to your feet and are super soft. Cardinal Red was my first pair and they lasted for years. I ended up getting a second pair because I wear them so often. Classics are easy to care for since you can polish scuffs with Tarrago polish and clean and condition the leather. Patents are very durable but don't quite stretch like Classics. Care is fairly easy since you just wipe them with a damp cloth if they're dirty, but you can't fix scuffs as easily if you're harder on your shoes. I'd probably try Classics first. Hope that helps!
Rose Campbell says
My big toe curls up a bit showing a bump on top of my shoe. Any suggestions? I’m afraid that spot will wear thin.
Ruth V. says
Hi Rose! Yes, just add moleskin: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/moleskin-tieks-flats/

Your side by side comparison of colors is amazing. As a world gone crazy over this horrible new strain of virus, I do what women do best, shopping. The perfect diversion! I want to purchase my first pair of Tieks, trying go decide on color. Black can wait. I need color!!! Raspberry Truffle is to die for, or Poppy, or Rose Pink, or Cardinal Red........... decisions decisions?
Beverly Robinson says
I have wide feet due to bunion surgery & cant tolerate tight toes on a shoe... are these right across the toes? TIA
Ruth V. says
Hi Beverly, my mom had a bunion and subsequent surgery and finds Tieks to be very comfortable. They do stretch if you need them to, and you can use a shoe stretcher for a more customized fit. Hope that helps!
Jessica says
Hi! I recently purchased my first pair of Tieks - romantic blush. I am looking to purchase a fun pop of color pair for spring/summer and will purchase a more neutral color closer to fall. For the pop of color pair, I’m debating between poppy, fusxhia and cotton candy. Can you tell me which one you like best? I wear lots of colorful clothes during the spring/summer, including Lilly Pulitzer clothing. I found I actually have more spring/summer clothes with the poppy color than fuschia but I’m thinking maybe fuschia would be more versatile for year round? And cotton candy probably matches with more of my Lilly stuff than the other colors but I’m worried it’s too similar to my romantic blush in terms of being neutral. Also I’ve heard the patents aren’t as comfortable as the classics. I’d love your input! I’m only planning to get one pair right now.
The next pair I get will probably be a darker neutral pair closer to fall. I’m debating between wild copper, metallic bronze, love struck, drago, leopard and tortoise shell. For wild copper, I’m worried they’re too similar to romantic blush. Metallic bronze im worried the metallic finish will show too much toe under the shoe box LOL. Love struck I’ve heard is very delicate and I’ve seen where the finish rubs off at the toe area. Drago is super pretty but I tend to wear more brown/tan based clothes than black/gray - not sure if that will matter. Finally leopard and tortoise shell, love the animal print but worried they won’t be versatile enough. I’ve heard the tortoise shell are not as comfortable. I have a pair of Keds leopard print flats that I wear with leggings and hoodies/sweatshirts for casual wear and a pair of pointy toe leopard flats so maybe another pair of leopard flats is overkill?
That was a lot! Anyway I really appreciate your help!!!!
Ruth V. says
Hi Jessica! I agree that Cotton Candy is very similar in coloring to Romantic Blush. I wear Fuchsia a ton (in fact, I have two pairs that I rotate). I don't wear Poppy as often since it's more of a coral and a little harder to match. Pop Pink also goes very well with Lilly and it matches most of my Lilly dresses, but it is very bright. I also wear Metallic Gold with a lot of Lilly.
For fall, I'd go with Leopard. They are very versatile and match most things (at least I think so). Here's a styling post: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/tieks-leopard-print-ballet-flats/

Amanda says
Do you find these to be true to size or is there a need to size up?
Ruth V. says
I find them to be true to size (except Mojave and the Vegan line with the exception of Greystone- in those I have ordered a size up).
Kiley Noble says
Are you a different size in patent vs classic styles? I’ve heard the patent doesn’t stretch like the classics. I just bought my first pair of patent and they fit like my classics do after breaking them in. I just don’t want them to stretch and then be too big.
Ruth V. says
I'm the same size in classics and patents. I find that Tieks don't really stretch unless you need them to.
Feg says
I am torn about size. Since half sizes aren't available I don't know if a 9 would be too short and a 10 too big? Sometimes I buy a 9.5, but rarely. I have never purchased a 10, so I am wondering which size to order.
I love the comparisons you have shown. I am a S. Florida resident, and wear a lot of Lily colors
Ruth V. says
I would start with a 9. Tieks has a great return/exchange policy with free shipping so you can always put in an exchange for a 10 if they feel a little snug and you want to compare them side by side. Just be sure you don't wear them outside or for a prolonged period of time if you need to return/exchange.

Do you know if the pop pink Tieks are released every summer? I am new to Tieks and I am dying to get pop pink and so hoping I can buy them this year!

Ruth V. says
It really depends on your skin coloring, but Taupe is a great and versatile color. 🙂
Alicia says
Do you wear them barefoot? Do they smell or make your feet smell?
Ruth V. says
Hi Alicia! I have worn them barefoot and they don't make my feet smell, but now I wear and insole for general comfort and to absorb sweat so they leather insole doesn't change color. I wrote about this here: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/insoles-for-flats/

Hi Lauren! I think cream would be a good choice or Romantic Blush. Sometimes a little pop of color is nice 🙂

Hello,
The side by side photos are amazing!! Such a help to see. I was thinking about the camel because I wanted a neutral, but it seems kind of mustard yellow to me after seeing them next to other colors. In real life, do they appear yellow? If so, what would be a more beige/tan option? Thank you!
Ruth V. says
Hi there! I think Camel does have yellow undertones. For a true beige/tan option, I'd go with Taupe. They're a great neutral.
