For the past three years, Tieks has done something special for Black Friday. They release a limited edition ballet flat for 4 days (or while supplies last) and 2018 brought us Raspberry Truffle Tieks. I've got a closer look for you and a video to show you the color and side by side comparisons.
Tieks wanted us to indulge in the decadence of the season with Raspberry Truffle Tieks. They were described as a sumptuous blend of delectable dark chocolate and deep raspberry red. They're made of full-grain leather and have a metallic shimmer (similar to Metallic Pewter or Metallic Gold). If you read my Tieks review, you know I absolutely love these designer shoes and they're pretty much the only flats I wear.
Like most of my Tieks ballet flats (and I have quite the collection of Tieks shoes - just click that link to see photos of most of the Tieks releases and side-by-side photos of them with similar colors), Raspberry Truffle is true to size. I wear an 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe and all of my Tieks are size 9 (with the exception of 4 of the Vegan Tieks, which I needed to size up in).
These flats are super soft and fit like a glove right out of the box. As I've said before, I prefer to wear insoles with Tieks but you could also wear no-show socks for flats if you prefer. In my opinion, the fit doesn't change if I wear thin insoles (check this link to see my favorites) but you can certainly just wear them.

I think Raspberry Truffle is perfect for Fall and Winter wear. These can be dressed up or down depending on your outfit and jewelry and I can't wait to wear them this holiday season.
If you get a scuff or scrape, you can always polish Tieks. I've got a comprehensive list of color matches and a how-to polish your Tieks video for you. I ordered 4 different polishes to find a color match for Raspberry Truffle and this is what I came up with: 1 part Tarrago 54 (Aubergine), 1 part Tarrago 111 (Old Leather, although any brown will probably work), and a hint of Tarrago 506 (Platinum). There's a drop-down menu on Amazon and you can select the colors.

Where can you find Raspberry Truffle Tieks on sale?
If you missed this special limited edition, I'm sorry to say that you'll have to do a little searching on resale websites or Tieks Buy/Sell/Trade groups on Facebook. You can try Tradesy (if you shop through my link here you'll get $20 off your first $50+ purchase and I'll get a referral credit), Poshmark, eBay, or Mercari.

Hi Ruth, I love when you do the side by side comparisons. Yes, I also received the Raspberry Truffle and they are unique. I also have the dark brown and wear them so much, As a matter of fact, they were one of my first pair along with Obsidian Black that I got for Christmas last year, and they are now one of my go to along with Taupe. .I’now have16 pair, and truly love them. I so appreciate all you post on Tieks. Thank you,

These tieks certainly have a festive look to them that would be perfect for holiday parties and get togethers.

I'm so sad that I missed out on these. I asked my fiance for Tieks for Christmas and told him that I really liked the Raspberry Truffle ones. But when I checked their site mid-day Friday, they were already sold out. He ended up ordering the Ballerina Pink. I've tried them on to make sure they fit but I have to wait until Christmas/Boxing Day to actually wear them. I can't wait! And I've been reading all your posts with tips so I'll be prepared. 🙂

I managed to snag a pair of Raspberry Truffle Tieks, but I am a bit disappointed in that the pair I received appear to be used. The soles are dirty, and there is glitter inside and embedded in the soles (by the stitching). Of course, there is no stock to exchange so it is these or nothing I think the color is gorgeous, though I don’t know that they go with enough of my wardrobe to keep them.
On one hand I can’t see investing In so many of these shoes that they are mostly sitting in my closet (thanks to sheer numbers), yet I love so many of the colors I cannot help buying more! Worse yet, I seem to gravitate to the most expensive ones like the snakes or even Aquarella. I found myself keeping tortoise over cool grey, even though if I am being honest I have minimal use for either. Of course, as a teacher I’m on my feet for extended periods of time, and I generally find the classics (and for some reason, my copper snakes) more comfortable than the patents so I suspect there are more Tieks in my near future, lol.

Near future is here already! Ordering the sapphires before they go away again, and trying to decide between burgundy and ruby red. I already have cardinal red (my second-most worn pair) The classics break in faster, but I love the colors of sapphire and ruby red~ Any words of wisdom?
