As an avid Tieks fan, I couldn't help but want Aquarella Tieks. Here's how I'm styling these watercolor designer ballet flats.
About 2 years ago, I entered to win a one-of-a-kind pair of Tieks ballet flats. Little did I know, almost 100,000 other people did too! Needless to say, I didn't win. That didn't stop me from thinking about those gorgeous shoes from time to time. I liked to imagine what I would wear them with and how I'd style them. Thankfully, I got a second chance!
Tieks decided to do a full release of Aquarella Tieks and I ordered them as soon as they hit the Boutiek. Even though they're a bit pricey, I decided to treat myself and hoped they'd be as amazing in person as I'd always imagined they'd be.

They did not disappoint! As has become customary with new releases over the past year and a half, Aquarella Tieks come with a special coordinating flower box topper. I didn't do a full unboxing shot with everything that comes in a Tieks box because I go over all of that in my Tieks review, but these designer flats also come with a new coordinating notecard.
Aquarella (inspired by the style of acqurello, which is Italian for watercolor) display a scene of bright and beautiful watercolor wildflowers with hues of yellow, orange, pinks, and greens. They are truly a work of art.
They're made of full-grain leather and have a gloss finish to them which makes them a bit shiny (but not as shiny as patent leather Tieks). If you're familiar with Arabain Night Tieks, these have the same scaley, orange-peel finish.
Tieks does state that over time, natural lifting of the finely cut pattern may occur. I believe they're referring to the finely cut little scales and I think this is what lends flexibility to the shoe. I'll be sure to check them from time to time to make sure the scales aren't lifting all the way off but I don't think this will be too much of a problem for me since I'm not very rough on my shoes.
Isn't the pattern gorgeous?!
Some people have wondered about Aquarella sizing. I ordered my regular size 9 and they fit perfectly. I believe they're true to size.
Now that I've shown you some close-ups of my Aquarella Tieks, here is how I'm styling these beautiful flats. For some of the new releases, I've gone out and bought a few key pieces that would go with my new flats. Since this is a heavenly patterned pair and are more costly, I wanted to see if I could match these flats with items I already had on hand. So, I didn't buy anything new and only used clothing and accessories from my closet.

I really like these Tieks. They look great with every single outfit that you tried them with.

The shoes are gorgeous! I also have a pair but am debating on whether to keep them. I am afraid of damaging the little scales since they’re so delicate. I think I ruined a few just getting them out of the box.

Mine seem to be okay so far!

Oh, my! These are so beautiful! Received them yesterday. I know I should have waited, but I just had to wear them today. They aren’t as comfortable as my other Tieks for my normal 12 hours just yet, but I’m hoping that will change. As long as I don’t think of the crazy price too much (and they last for a good while!), I will remain in love with my Aquarella s ?

Any non leather tieks?

Yes! They have a vegan line, which I also love: https://www.vivaveltoro.com/vegan-tieks/
