When it comes to my wardrobe, I'm not afraid to play with prints or color, and one of my very favorite things is leopard print. When it comes to leopard, I agree with fashion designer Jenna Lyons who stated, "As far as I'm concerned, Leopard is a neutral." To me, Leopard is just the right mixture of black, browns, and tan, and it goes perfectly with almost everything I wear. That's why I had to buy a pair of Tieks Leopard print ballet flats. I already have a profound love of Tieks (in case you didn't know, you can see my full Tieks review and my post about how to pick the perfect pair of Tieks shoes for lots and lots of photos).
Tieks Leopard Print Ballet Flats
As soon as I unboxed my Leopard Tieks, it was instantaneous love. The colors were beautiful and the textured, shiny print contrasted perfectly with the signature Tiek blue soles.
I loved the way the spots laid and couldn't wait to get them on my feet. They felt great right out of the box. As I've said in my other posts about Tieks, I'm usually an 8.5 or 9 in most shoes and all of my Tieks (Classics, Prints, and Patents) are size 9.
How to style leopard print ballet flats
I don't have a lot of browns in my closet, so I never felt compelled to order Chocolate Brown, Chestnut or Camel Tieks. Instead, I knew that Leopard Tieks would be a fantastic option since they go with pretty much every color you can think of. Here's how I style my Leopard Tieks.
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs / Sunglasses: Tory Burch / Jeans: Gap Outlet Jeggings / Top: Mossimo
My husband calls this look my uniform. On almost any given day, you can find me in a white or black v-neck t-shirt and jeans. In fact, I have 5 of these Mossimo tees from Target in black and 5 in white since, like Tieks, they're a staple in my wardrobe.
Living in Florida, white jeans are a must for me. I break all the rules and wear these babies long after Labor Day. I picked these jeans up at the Gap Outlet and they've got a higher waist and just the perfect amount of stretch.
I love the contrast between the white and the Leopard print Tieks. I also added a fun Leopard clutch with my monogram from another of my favorite brands, Grateful Bags.
Dress: A New Day from Target / Bangles: Ellies Sparkles
One of the best things about Tieks is the ability to dress them up or down. Pair your ballet flats with a pretty dress or a pair of shorts and a top and you're good to go.
Cardigan and Shorts: Merona from Target / Clutch: Louis Vuitton Daily Organizer in Red
Leopard and red is a match made in heaven. The two compliment each so well and a simple red cardigan can go a long way to make your leopard print flats pop.
Top: Mossimo from Target / Shorts: Merona from Target/ Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs / Watch: Michael Kors
As much as I love leopard paired with red, I might love leopard and bright yellow together even more. This Marc by Marc Jacobs bag is pretty much perfection with my Leopard Tieks.
The thing about Tieks is that they're super comfortable. So, pairing them with soft denim tunic and a pair of LuLaRoe leggings feels like a natural choice.
I was able to find this denim tunic at Target for only $22.99 (score!).
Top: Express / Jeans: Gap Outlet / Bag: Louis Vuitton Retiro in Noir
You might have noticed by now that most of my clothes are pretty inexpensive. I prefer to spend more money on handbags and shoes since those are more timeless and the styles don't change that much from season to season. I'd rather invest in good, quality shoes like Tieks than $200 jeans that may or may not be in style a year from now. Plus, my shoe size and my handbag size usually doesn't fluctuate like my waist might!
And yet another thing to love about Tieks - you can really spread your wings and be a little daring, and not only by wearing a bold print. These ballet flats are so comfy and flexible that you can move any which way you please.
If you're on the fence about Leopard Tieks (see what I did there?!), my advice would be to get them before they sell out again!

I like how the Tieks go with so many different outfits and really add some style.

Love your preference to spend on handbags and shoes rather than clothes. I agree!

Love your posts! What shiny bracelet are you wearing in some of these photos - it's beautiful!

I'm wearing a Michael Kors watch in several of them, and the bangles in the others are from Ellie's Sparkles. The one that looks very shiny and round is a monogrammed bangle. I LOVE it!

I think this post about the Leopard Print has convinced me to try as my first pair. After seeing how many things it goes with, I don't think I could go wrong!

What about leopard with geometric and floral prints? Is this a no go?
