Fall is in the air and Tieks has heard our cry for a new print for the season. They just rolled out Heritage Plaid Tieks ballet flats and of course, I just had to order them. I'm giving you a closer look at this new style with lots of photos of these new plaid flats. Be sure to check out my video below to see some side-by-side comparisons too.
It's no secret that I love Tieks and have quite a few of these designer flats. I won't go into every detail about why I love these shoes since I cover all of that in my Tieks review and have shown my adoration by amassing a large collection of Tieks shoes (seriously, you should check out that post to see LOTS and lots of Tieks photos). It's safe to say that I'm a Tieks addict, so when a new release comes out, I usually splurge and treat myself to a new pair of my favorite ballet flats. Heritage Plaid Tieks were no exception and I couldn't be happier about that.
Heritage Plaid Tieks
I was excited about this release since this was something completely new for Tieks. They've never combined a fabric upper with a leather bottom (the Vegan Tieks are fabric but come with a vegan leather-like sole) and I was dying to see how Heritage Plaid would look and feel.
I am obsessed with the color combination of red, white and blue woven into these tartan plaid flats. They are absolutely beautiful and will fit in nicely with my wardrobe. The upper material is a cotton blend and the bottoms are the leather insoles and outsole that we Tieks fanatics know and love.
I was worried about the sizing of these plaid flats since I had to size up in the Vegan line (well, for all of them except Greystone; those are true to size), but I'm happy to report that Heritage Plaid runs true to size. I ordered a 9 and they fit perfectly.
The cotton-blend is very soft and the leather insoles feel great on my feet. Although, if you're a reader then you know that I usually wear insoles with Tieks to prevent the insoles from the natural patina process.
Overall, I'm thrilled with this release! They are perfect for fall and winter; especially for me since I live in Florida and can wear flats pretty much all winter long. As with all Tieks, you can only purchase them online in the Tieks Boutiek.
