Camel is a color that's synonymous with neutral to me. Here is a closer look at Camel Tieks. See if they'll be the right shade of tan for you. I've also got a video comparing the different shades of brown Tieks for you.
I love the look of Tieks ballet flats. I've been wearing them for several years now and my opinion has never wavered. As I said in my Tieks review, these are the most comfortable and stylish flats I've ever owned.
When I purchased my very first pair, I went back and forth regarding the color. Should I get a safe neutral? Maybe a bold pop of color would be best. In the end, I chose Cardinal Red and never regretted it. Soon after, I bought another pair. And then, another. 70+ pairs later and I guess you could say I've got quite a collection of Tieks shoes.
Do you need tan flats?
While I love a bold color or pretty print, I think a good neutral can be underrated. My wardrobe contains a lot of denim, black, and white. Therefore, I considered Cardinal Red and even Leopard Tieks neutral.
Eventually, I realized I did need a pair of tan flats and eventually purchased Camel Tieks.
Tieks has a lot of options when it comes to tan-colored or brown classic flats. They've got Chocolate Brown, Chestnut, Taupe, and Camel. But, it goes even further if you consider their patent line or prints. There is Tortoiseshell, Leopard, Metallic Gold, Metallic Bronze, Sienna Brown Croc, Mojave, and others.
Camel Tieks Ballet Flats
Camel Tieks are a creamy-colored tan. There's a little bit of a yellow undertone to them, which makes them quite different than Chestnut.
Camel Tieks are crafted from full-grain Italian leather. Like my other classic Tieks, they are super soft. They feature a non-skid rubber sole in the signature Tiek Blue hue. These flats are very versatile and can take you from day to night. And, from dressy to casual.
To help you pick the perfect pair, I've got an entire post dedicated to Tieks shoes side-by-side comparisons. You can see Camel next to different shades there. You can also check out the video about brown Tieks below.
