It's that time again! A new year is upon us and it's time to reflect, reset, and refocus. I've got some big goals for 2022 and I want to share a few products with you that are helping me put my best foot forward.
I don't normally like the idea of new year resolutions. I think many people can set themselves up for failure by creating unrealistic goals and they're left feeling like a failure because they committed to too many changes.
However, this year feels different for me. I strayed in my disciple in a few different areas of my life once the pandemic hit and it's time that I address those shortcomings and refocus on my goals. This year, I've committed to 3 different resolutions.
Resolution 1: Reset my digestive system and lose the excess weight.
I was fairly sedentary until about 4 years ago when I started doing functional fitness and then running. Since then, I've been pretty good about maintaining my weight and fitness. I don't like to judge myself by the numbers on the scale, but I have noticed that my clothes have gotten tighter and my stamina has decreased. That led me to eliminate several of the most inflammatory foods from my diet for the next few weeks (and hopefully beyond that). That means no gluten, no dairy, no alcohol, and very limited sugar.
My friends at BabbleBoxx curated a fabulous selection of items to help me with all of my resolutions and it honestly felt like they were reading my mind with the products they included. The first thing I noticed when I opened my box was the Shaklee Life Shake Soy Protein in French Vanilla flavor. Shaklee is a leading natural nutrition company founded by Dr. Shaklee, the inventor of the first multivitamin in the U.S. over 100 years ago.
This Non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free shake is a convenient and complete meal on the go. You simply blend or shake 2 scoops of Life Shake into 8 ounces of your favorite dairy or dairy substitute for an optional meal replacement with 20 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber, and 24 essential vitamins and minerals. You can even customize your shake by adding fruit or veggies. This vegan protein powder is a winner for me!
Another great Shaklee product I've been using to help meet my macros and goals is Collagen-9. This is the most complete collagen product I've seen. It includes all 9 essential amino acids, 10 g of collagen, and a powerful
combination of biotin and vitamin C, to promote healthy skin, hair, nails, and joints (note: these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease). Since Collagen-9 is unflavored, it pairs well with almost anything, including smoothies and shakes. I love to add it to my morning coffee for an added boost of protein and collagen for healthy skin and ha.
Another fantastic brand included in my BabbleBoxx was Beetology. I've heard about the health benefits of beets but haven't really tried them before. After sampling a few flavors from Beetology, I am sold! These cold-pressed beet juices are all 100% organic and ready for you to grab and go. They use all-natural ingredients with no preservatives, additives, artificial colors, or flavors. Beetology comes in 5 different flavors and they're all under 110 calories.
These juices layer the mildly sweet flavor of beets with different fruits and veggies to make a perfect juice blend. The beet + cherry is SO good! I love that I can enjoy a glass on the go without having to pull out a juicer or blender. It's ready to go for me and it makes a perfect addition to my work lunch.
Avoiding alcohol always seems a bit difficult for me. Not because I like to overindulge, it just seems to be at the center of a lot of social functions and I really hate to miss out on time with my friends. But, alcohol is full of empty calories and certainly affects my performance in the gym. That's why I was absolutely thrilled to see Monday alcohol free Gin included in my box. I wasn't familiar with this brand before, but I can assure you that I am now a huge fan.
Monday Gin is an aromatic blend of juniper, natural botanicals, citrus, and spices. It's also 0 calories, no carbs, zero sugar, vegan, gluten-free, paleo and keto-friendly, big-8 allergen-free. You can use this gin to make your favorite cocktail, or simply make a mixed drink with fresh ingredients to really enjoy Monday's flavor. I made a delicious mule and loved it! I can't wait to take Monday to my next girls' night so I can still partake in the fun, but wake up feeling my best. This alcohol-free gin is going to help me stick to my game plan and I couldn't be more excited about it. Monday also has Whiskey and I can't wait to try the next. Cheers to a dry January and beyond!

Resolution 2: Declutter and organize my home.
January feels like the perfect time to purge and I'm not just talking about bad habits. This year, I want to purge all the excess stuff in my home that takes up physical and mental space. I'm not good at focusing on tasks if my surroundings are a mess so I'm committed to tidying up and getting rid of unnecessary household items, clothing, shoes, and more. I'm currently doing a 30-day decluttering challenge but I need structure and planning to get this done. That's where my Zebra Pen markers and pens come in.
I found a Zebra Pen Journaling Set in my BabbleBoxx and was probably more excited than I should have been. I've been meaning to be more intentional with my time and I knew using a paper planner and gel pens and highlighters would be key. This Zebra Pen Journaling Set was just what I needed to get organized.
This multi-pack includes both Sarasa Clip Gel Retractable Pens and Mildliner Highlighters in complementary colors that bring me so much joy. I love to color-code certain events and tasks. The Sarasa Clip Pens have non-smearing, acid-free, water-resistant ink and it doesn't bleed through the paper. and the Mildliner Highlighters
come in unique, mild colors that show up softly on paper and also don't bleed.

I've been using my planner to set specific organizational goals for decluttering my home and it's been working well. I love to check off boxes so this works well for my Type-A personality. I'm even planning for daily Bible and self-care time; which brings me to my next resolution.
Resolution 3: Plan more intentional self-care time.
I haven't always loved the term "self-care" since it summons up images of relaxing in a tub with lit candles and cucumber slices on my eyes. That isn't my idea of self-care since I really thrive and feel best when I'm getting things done. I've had to explore what self-care means to me. I've found that having intentional Bible time in the morning is self-care for me. It gets me in a good headspace for the day. I love to slip on my headphones and listen to the Bible in a Year podcast that breaks the information up into bite-size pieces.
Another way for me to practice self-care is to use products that make me look and feel great. That includes Tree Hut's Vitamin C Whipped Body Butter.
While I'm not a lounge-in-a-hot-bath kind of gal, I do really enjoy delightful beauty products and Vitamin C Whipped Body Butter feels like such an indulgence. I already use an antioxidant Vitamin C serum on my face daily so I knew this body butter would give me a perfect glow. The combination of Vitamin C, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, and Natural Shea Butter leaves my skin feeling so soft and the smell is heavenly. Like all of Tree Hut Whipped Body Butters, Vitamin C is paraben-free, vegan, sulfate-free, alcohol-free, and contains no formaldehyde donors.
While the new year is still fresh, I think all of these resolutions are doable and I've created an action plan to make sure I succeed. I hope you do the same!
Have you made any resolutions?
I'd love to hear about them!
