We've been spending a lot of time outdoors this summer and that means we're doing a lot of swimming, grilling, and eating yummy treats. Let's dig in! The first product I want to mention are from Pure Farmland. I've been slowly incorporating more plant-based food into my family's diet and it's been a lot of trial and error. Some things are easy to add, like plant-based crumbles to pasta sauce instead of ground beef or turkey, but others have been a source of contention (hello, "fake meat" burgers as my kids call them). I've tried quite a few brands of plant-based products but this was my first experience with Pure Farmland.
Pure Farmland has a collection of products like burger patties, "meatballs," breakfast patties and more. All of their items are gluten-free and dairy-free and made with complete soy protein. They're also crafted in the USA and offered in sustainable packaging. But, perhaps the best part about Pure Farmland products is the taste! We've tried a few items by this point and I think it's safe to say we'll be adding some of these products to our permanent menu lineup.
It can be really hard to find a good gluten-free and dairy-free meatless meatball, but the Pure Farmland Homestyle Plant-Based Meatballs are a hit. I love that you just heat them in a skillet and you're good to go. They're even better when simmered with Tuttorosso® Petite Diced Tomatoes (see below for more info on those!).
Another thing I love about Pure Farmland is their Pure Growth Project. I posted about this recently and just love this initiative. Since Pure Farmland knows that good things are grown from the ground up. they started a grant program that supports community gardens in neighborhoods throughout the country and preserves America's farmlands. Grants from $1,000 to $20.000 will be awarded to eligible community farms, gardens, and nonprofit organizations through an open application process ending July 31, 2020.
