I've always had thin and usually short hair, so finding ways to sneak in some volume with different methods of styling and pinning has been my game for as long as I remember. Gorgeous hair with mega volume is achievable in four easy steps:

Mock French Braid for Short Hair
Ready for one of my favorite Fall high-volume styles? I love wearing my hair up like this in a mock french braid for an everyday look, but it also works so well for dressy occasions! It plays on the look of a classic tucked french braid, but there actually isn't any braiding at all, which is why this is so great for short hair, where braids might fall out easily and easily become unkempt.
Begin by using the TRESemmé® Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner and Shampoo, remembering to condition first and shampoo second. Incorporate the TRESemmé® Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximizer and blow dry.
Curl small strands of hair with a curling wand, remembering to curl close the the roots. Now pull a few strands together like you would for a half-up, half-down look and tie together with a small rubberband. Flip the tied strand up and tuck it back into your mess of curls.
Continue grabbing sections of hair and tying a small rubberband around the strands, then turn it inside itself, or flipping it up and over. Move down your hair until everything has been incorporated, then pin with bobby pins where you feel it is loose. Pull out some of the pieces on top with your fingers to loosen them up and create more fullness on the crown.
And there you have a tucked mock french braid for short hair! Because it is pulled together with rubber bands, it is unlikely to fall loose, even with short hair, and the TRESemme® Beauty-Full Volume products give you that va-va-volume from all angles!

I just did something similar with my step daughters hair . It only goes down her neck not toching her shoulders yet. Her mom had it vut off and in way to many lenghts .
