Are you planning a trip to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year? Check out some of our favorite things to see at this spook-tacular event!
Our family loves Disney World and as Florida residents, we thought it was about time we checked out Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I was so excited when Disney invited our family out for this event. Offered only certain evenings in August, September, and October, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the party of the season! If you're planning to take in this celebration, check out 5 things that we think you can't miss.
5 Things You Can't Miss at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Trick-or-Treating
Who doesn't love trick-or-treating? Our kids were so excited to receive their Halloween treat bags upon entering the park. Kids can trick-or-treat at multiple locations all over Magic Kingdom. You can even bring your own bag or bucket if you'd like! Disney is great about accommodating food allergies and offers teal bags for kids who need alternative treats.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Characters
At Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party you can see many characters that you aren't able to on a regular day at Disney World. Check out Lady Renata, who will entertain you in front of The Haunted Mansion-I'd never seen her before this party! I've also heard you can get a photo with all seven dwarfs which is exclusive to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Villains abound on the grounds, as well as some of your favorite characters dressed in their own costumes!
Decorations and Food
There are fall-themed and Halloween decorations all over the park during this awesome event. We loved the Mickey wreaths in particular! When the sun goes down, there's even more to see. You won't want to miss the Haunted Mansion!
There are also a variety of special Halloween-related food items available during the party. There are Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcakes, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Halloween Cinnamon Rolls, and many more offerings throughout the park.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Boo-To-You Parade
The Boo-to-You Parade is filled with characters and villains in costume, and to be honest it's probably my favorite Disney parade ever! The Headless Horseman is the parade grand-master and every float that follows is a real treat! Our kids were absolutely enthralled with this after-dark parade.
Happy Hallo-Wishes Fireworks Show
The Happy Hallo-Wishes Fireworks Show was absolutely amazing. Some of my favorite Disney Villain songs played while a huge show lit up the castle and the sky. The creepy colors went perfectly with the theme and the whole night ended perfectly with the wicked melodies.
Honorable Mentions: There are plenty of things to see at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that aren't on this list! These are just five of our favorite things. If you've got young kids, the dance party with Vampirina is sure to be a hit! Don't miss your favorite rides re-imagined for the evening, including Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Mad Tea Party.
Whatever you choose to do at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you're going to have the best time. There are so many special attractions that you'll be busy the entire evening, but it will be worth it when your kids crash like this by the end of the night!

Have you done one of these for new years? I have been told to stay away but was wondering if that is true.

Hi Susan! I haven't done New Year's Eve at the park, but I have tried to visit during that specific week and it's been very busy. If you want to avoid crowds, I'd try to go to the Christmas party earlier in the month of December.
