When we started planning our trip to Disney World, I knew right away we'd be buying Magic Bands. Once you link them to your account, they count as your ticket, your Fast Pass+, and your dinner reservations. Plus you can link a credit card to pay with them, too! I really wanted to buy the fun character Magic Bands but just couldn't bring myself to spend the $20+ when I knew we wouldn't use them after our trip. I decided it would be fun to customize our kids' Disney World Magic Bands, just to add a little personal touch!
Customize Your Disney World Magic Bands
Our daughter loves Elena of Avalor, and our son is obsessed with Catboy from PJ Masks on Disney Jr. I thought it would be fun to grab some tattoos and stickers to decorate their magic bands. Check out how I made them, and with items I mostly had at home!
Supplies to Customize Your Disney World Magic Bands
Supplies:
Magic Bands (Buy these from The Disney Store)
Tattoos (We got Disney princesses, Sofia the First, and Mickey Mouse)
Stickers (We used PJ Masks stickers)
Rhinestone stickers
Mod Podge (We like gloss-finish but you can also use matte!)
Paint Brush (If you need a set, these are great for kids)
Directions:
- Make sure Magic Bands are clean and dry
- Place tattoos or stickers on the bands
- Mod Podge over the tattoos and stickers
- Place rhinestones on the Magic Bands
- Mod Podge one final time
I think they turned out pretty cute and our kids will love them! In case you've noticed that your Magic Bands look different, they're adjustable for kids or adults. I took off the outer 'adult' layer to make them kid-sized for our little ones!
They were fairly easy to make and I think they'll hold up to our experience at Disney World! Our kids are going to be so excited to see their favorite characters on their Magic Bands! We're going to surprise our daughter and son with a bag full of Disney paraphernalia to see if they can guess where we're headed next week. I can't wait to take a video of their reactions!
Will you try customizing your Magic Bands?

This is a great ideal it makes each kid special! I could see them showing the bands off to other kids. My friend is going with her 2 girls in April forwarding this to her.

This is a great idea! We are taking our Granddaughter to Disney next year. She will love this! She is two, so right now her favorite Disney character is Sofia the First!
