    Tasty Tropical Smoothie Recipe!

    Tasty Tropical Smoothie Recipe

You'll feel like you've been taken to the islands with this tasty tropical smoothie. A little frozen tropical fruit goes a long way with this vitamin packed smoothie.

    Tropical Smoothie Recipe

Now that I'm getting pretty good at making smoothies, I'm experimenting with new flavors in my Blendfresh line-up. In case you missed it, I made a super easy green smoothie using my Blendfresh Green and a super yummy berry banana smoothie using my Blendfresh Red, so I figured it was time to try ORANGE! Now, you don't need Blendfresh products in order to make this delicious  tropical smoothie, but it will add an additional layer or flavors and 12 fruits/vegetables to your smoothie.

What I love about blending smoothies is that you can completely customize them to fit your tastes. If you don't like orange juice, use apple juice or coconut water. Don't be afraid to experiment to find what flavors you love best. This recipe will make a LARGE smoothie (think over 30 ounces). I drink this in the morning for breakfast and it definitely hold me over until lunch, plus I feel hydrated and just all around good afterwards!

    Tropical Smoothie Recipe

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 cups of frozen fruit in a tropical blend - this would include a variation of pineapple, mango, strawberries (it might vary depending on where you purchase)
    • 1 banana
    • 8 ounces of orange juice (you can use a different juice if you'd like)
    • 1 cup of ice
    • 1 scoop of Blendfresh Orange (optional, but a great addition). You can also include any pre/probiotics, fiber, or protein powder you'd like for added oomph!

    Directions:

Add your frozen ingredients to the bottom of the blender, then your banana (and any other non frozen ingredients), then your juice and Blendfresh powder (optional). Blend until smooth. I use a Blendtec Express Pro on the "smoothie" profile setting and it comes out perfect. If your smoothie is too thick, add more juice or water. If it's too thin, add more frozen fruit.

    Serve and enjoy!

this definitely sounds yummy and very tasty.. I like that the recipe is easy to put together and most of the items are items already in the freezer or refri. it also nice that just adding some flax seeds or other benifits like oats or what ever makes a great healthy drink that the whole family can enjoy...

Love this Tropical Smoothie!! Absolutely going to make this one so I have pinned it for later. I have only just started to make smoothies and when the warmer weather is here I want to be able to make and offer to my friends and company while sitting in our back yard on the patio.....the blendfresh products sound wonderful, only wish I could find and purchase at a local store or market here where I live.
