The Best Chandelier Lighting for a Child's Bedroom

As you may have seen in a couple of my previous posts, we've been decorating and re-doing a bedroom for our five year old daughter. She's been needing a bit more space of her own lately, and I've had so much fun creating her dream bedroom. There are even a few decor pieces that she didn't know about and I was able to surprise her with. As a kid, I always thought it would be amazing to have a chandelier in my bedroom. I've always thought that a lighting fixture can either make or break a room. Since our daughter's new room was previously our main bedroom, the plain globe light fixture just wouldn't do! The chandelier lighting fixture came in a few pieces but was simple to unfold and assemble. Since my husband is an electrician, he had no trouble installing the fixture. He had installed a dimmer switch with remote when it was our bedroom, so we decided to purchase some dimming bulbs for our daughter's chandelier as well. This is actually perfect because she's afraid of the dark. When she goes to sleep and wakes up, she has complete control of her light from her loft bed!

This gorgeous chandelier has multiple tiers and as soon as she saw it, our daughter's jaw dropped. She loves anything pink and glamorous, and this light fixture fits those descriptions perfectly! Adorned with hundreds of tiny pink embellishments, the details on this piece are just incredible.

The chain hangs 14 inches from the ceiling plate, which ended up being a little long for the height of our daughter's ceiling. My husband shortened the cord and chain just by looping it through itself and I don't think it detracts from the finished look of the chandelier at all.

Now that we have this gorgeous chandelier, I want to update all of our lighting fixtures with Sleeping Partners! I think their Tadpoles line has so many beautiful options for kid's bedrooms and even some chandelier fixtures for other rooms in the home. I really feel like our daughter's room is complete now. It's her dream bedroom, and a little bit mine, too!
