    Step2 My First Gingerbread House {Plus, a GIVEAWAY!}

    There are so many fun holiday traditions and one of our favorites is decorating a gingerbread house each year. While it's lots of fun, it's also super messy with young kids so it's a once-a-year thing. Step2 recently came out with a new toy - My First Gingerbread House - and it's been a HUGE hit in our house!

    Step2 My First Gingerbread House

    My First Gingerbread House from Step2 was just released this year, and it's going to be a big hit for the holidays! It requires very little adult set-up (just put the stickers on the gingerbread man and 3AAA batteries in the wreath) so it's perfect to open with no prep on Christmas.

    With a fun variety of multicolored gumdrops to decorate the house, kids can take turns filling the rooftop! Plus, they can add fluffy looking white snow and a few candy cane embellishments at the base. This toy is great for younger kids, but my 2 and 5 year olds have a blast with it, too! Children can work on fine motor skills and color recognition just by playing.

    What would a gingerbread house be without a gingerbread man? This adorable figure is double-sided and can be taken out of the house to play with, too. The door opens and closes, providing more fine motor skill opportunities.

    Musical/Light Up Features

    Our family's favorite feature is the wreath above the door! With just a gentle tap, the lights on the wreath light up and it plays classic holiday songs that we all know and love. The wreath does require 3AAA batteries that aren't included. After play is done, the roof comes off and the accessories can be stored inside the gingerbread house.

      It really has all of the fun pieces that go into making a gingerbread house so much fun. This is just adorable and would provide so much fun time for the kiddos.

      This is amazing, my daughter gets so frustrated with the building of a real gingerbread house. Especially if the walls crack. This would solve all our messy problems!!!

      This is adorable! I love that the pieces are interchangable, but large enough to be safe for the littlest "elves." I could definitely see older kids loving this too! Such a cute toy and looks fun and festive enough to be played with many years!!

      This is amazing. Every year we have tried making gingerbread houses in the past with our young kids has been a huge mess. This would be great for our little one while we make a real one.

      This is very cute. We love making gingerbread houses but with a new baby I'm not sure when we'll really have time! My son would love to play in this with his baby sister. I love the wreath and that it plays Christmas songs!
