Can we officially call it holiday party season?! I wait all year for this! The holidays are my favorite time to bake-and-take all the prettiest things to parties and gatherings with friends and family. I'm so excited to share with you one of the prettiest and tastiest foods to make during the holidays: Cranberry Brie Pull Apart Bread!
When the weather gets cold, I love baking thick and sweet desserts and appetizers with rich cheeses and nutty flavors, and sharing them with family and friends. Unfortunately, because of all these rich foods, I'm often bothered by frequent heartburn. Heartburn keeps me from completely enjoying the evening, and I feel like sometimes I miss out on my favorite treats, but this season I feel more prepared! There is a new product for frequent heartburn sufferers: Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablets! They work like the currently available Omeprazole, but these are the only long-lasting heartburn relief in the form of an easy-to-take dissolving tablet.
This medication is available as an easy-to-take orally disintegrating tablet because it is made with MELTech, meaning the tablet dissolves on your tongue. This makes it even more convenient to take even in the car on the way to all these fabulous parties! One dose is taken every 24 hours for 14 days. The strawberry flavor tastes great and it goes down so easy.
Omeprazole ODT is meant for those who suffer from frequent heartburn occurring two or more days per week. This tablet may take 1-4 days to feel the full effect and not intended for immediate relief. I'm so impressed with its long-lasting effects of up to 24 hours! Let's party the night away!
You should not take Omeprazole ODT more often than every four months or for longer than 14 days unless directed by your doctor. Please, do not chew Omeprazole ODT or dissolve Omeprazole ODT in water.
Since I'm worrying less about my heartburn and enjoying all my favorite cheesy appetizers, I'm definitely bringing my favorite Cranberry Brie Pull Apart Bread to some parties this year. Pull apart bread is a fantastic choice for parties because it looks beautiful, it is totally easy to transport in the car, and it doesn't fall apart as everyone starts to dig in and take pieces.
Making this delectable bread couldn't be easier. Start with a loaf of sourdough bread from your favorite bakery and cut rows and columns about 1 inch apart with a long bread knife. Make sure not to cut too deep and go all the way through the bread. You want to keep all the gooey cheese inside!
The star ingredients are brie and this cranberry white cheddar cheese. I ended up using the entire block of cranberry white cheddar cheese (8 oz.), but only half of the 8 oz. brie wedge. Cutting the cheese into wedge shapes allows them to fit so nicely in the cuts of the bread.
Stuff cheese pieces into every cross section, alternating between the brie and the cranberry white cheddar.
Toss on about a cup of dried cranberries and ¼ cup of crushed pistachios. Drizzle 2 Tablespoons of melted butter into the cracks.
I like to top the bread with another few slices of cheese and another small handful of cranberries. It makes the top look so appetizing! Bake at 300 for 25 minutes and serve warm!
The pistachios inside add a nice crunch and the gooey cheese on sourdough is just so delicious! I like leaving the rind on the brie cheese because of the bright white contrast it brings to the final recipe, plus eating the rind is perfectly ok and actually the most polite thing to do at parties!
You can bet I'll be taking and enjoying my favorite Cranberry Brie Pull-Apart Bread at all the holiday parties this year!

I use that medication but in prescription strength. I like cranberries and brie so I am sure this is a delicious bread. I probably wouldn't eat the pistachios with it though. I like pistachios but by themselves not really mixed with other things.
