When 2018 rolled around and I started to think about what I wanted to do this year, traveling was at the top of my list. Admittedly, this was a lofty goal. With two small children, it can be hard to coordinate childcare so I can get away. But, when an emailed arrived that was titled, "Marvel Studios Invites You to Los Angeles!" it stopped me in my tracks. THIS was the opportunity of a lifetime and I needed to make it happen!
I was fortunate enough to attend the Finding Dory premiere and the Moana premiere so I know what it's like to walk the red carpet at a Hollywood event. There's so much excitement that it literally feels like the streets are buzzing. Being surrounded by the most talented writers, filmmakers, and movie stars in the industry is quite an honor. So, when I received an invitation to attend one of the most anticipated premieres of 2018, I screamed with excitement and then started making plans.
Avengers: Infinity War is opening in theaters nationwide on 4/27, but I'll be flying to Los Angeles from 4/22 to 4/24 to walk the red carpet and attend the world premiere on 4/23. In case you're wondering: no, I can't believe this is really my life!
I started getting really excited about Avengers: Infinity War when I saw several of the cast members at the D23 Expo in 2017. Not only did we get to see Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Josh Brolin, Don Cheadle, Sebastian Stan, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff, we also got a sneak peek of the film during the Expo. As you can imagine, it looked EPIC!
Spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War will bring you the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe. I'm such a mixed bag of emotions about this! I can't wait to see the movie, but I don't see any of my beloved Avengers injured (or worse!).
I'll also be meeting with Victoria Alonso, EVP of Visual Effects and Post-Production of Marvel Studios, to talk about her role at the company and the importance of STEM. Plus, I'll be visiting Disney’s Grand Central Creative campus to learn more about the new AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR products being released. I know my son is SUPER excited about this part of my trip. Stay tuned for details!

During my trip to LA, I'll also have the opportunity to get a special sneak preview of the Season 3 premiere of ABC's Quantico. This series stars Priyanka Chopra as Alex Parrish, Jake McLaughlin as Ryan Booth, Johanna Braddy as Shelby Wyatt, Russell Tovey as Harry Doyle, Alan Powell as Mike McQuigg, with Marlee Matlin as Jocelyn Turner and Blair Underwood as Owen Hall.
It’s been three years since American hero Alex Parrish has had to navigate the dangerous waters of the Central Intelligence Agency and put her life on the line for her country. She has been living a peaceful, anonymous life somewhere in Italy. However, Alex is forced to abandon this idyllic existence when Ryan persuades her to help him rescue Shelby from a notorious international arms dealer known only as The Widow, who is holding her hostage – and in exchange for her release she demands something that only Alex can provide, when “Quantico” premieres for its third season, Thursday, April 26th at 10 PM EDT on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.
I'll also be sitting down with new series regular Marlee Matlin and showrunner & Executive Producer Michael Seitzman for an interview! Keep an eye out fo more details soon!
