My Pottery Barn Living Room + Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional Review

If you've been following this blog, you know that we recently bought a new home and furnished it almost exclusively with Pottery Barn furniture. Choosing a couch was one of the hardest decisions so I wanted to share my review of the Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional, the Griffin Coffee table, and other design elements.

Selecting a sofa for our family was a big decision. Some of my fondest memories from childhood are evenings and weekends spent curled up on the couch with my family watching a movie or Saturday morning cartoons. The couch is where family happens. It needs to be inviting and comforting. When I was shopping at Pottery Barn for our new couch, I knew I wanted a sectional but was hung up on the details. They've got such a and each one is customizable so you can find the best fit for your family and lifestyle.

I kept debating the merits of leather versus fabric and finally landed on fabric for optimal coziness. But, and it's a big but, I have kids. So I wasn't sure fabric was the wisest decision. Thankfully, Pottery Barn offers Sunbrella fabrics. I ordered some fabric swatches and did my own tests with different foods and fluids to reassure myself that I was making a good decision.

I was also very nervous about Pottery Barn fabric pilling. My cousin owned a Pottery Barn couch that pilled horribly (although she did get it replaced by Pottery Barn so that's great customer service). I read forum after forum about which fabric was the most pill-resistant and it seemed Performance Slub Tweed was a winner. I also tested this with the swatches by rubbing them over and over. It did very well.

Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional

I ended up choosing the Pearce . For my living room, the configuration I needed was the Right-Arm Loveseat + Wedge + Armless Loveseat + Left-Arm Chaise. The fabric I selected was Charcoal, Sunbrella® Performance Slub Tweed. The overall measurements are 146" w x 121" d x 40" d x 38" h.

The features of the Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional include:

• Rolled arms
• Removable square, tapered legs finished in espresso.
• Seat cushions are loose (so you can flip and rotate)
• Hardwood frame with mortise-and-tenon joinery for structural integrity
• No-sag steel sinuous springs
• Hidden steel connectors to hold modular pieces together
• Adjustable levelers for uneven floors
• Down-blend-wrapped cushions for a softer feel. Back cushions are 100% polyester fill

2022 Update: I've owned the for four years now and it's held up very well. I do flip and rotate the cushions every month or so and I think that's key. We've had a few spills and they've cleaned up perfectly thanks to the Sunbrella fabric.

Pottery Barn Throw Pillows

These throw pillows are also from Pottery Barn. The larger pillows are over . My smaller inserts are with the Drew Embroidered Pillow Cover.

I also have a that measures 60" by 80". It is simply glorious! It's so warm and feels like the softest weighted blanket ever.

Pottery Barn Griffin Reclaimed Wood Coffee Table

The Griffin was the perfect choice for our living room. Like I did with my Banks Buffet, I had a custom round piece of glass cut to protect the from water rings, gouges, and everything else my kids can do. You can also order this topper from Amazon (which is what I used in my kitchen on my Pottery barn Banks round table).

This reclaimed pine kiln-dried wood coffee table is simple yet beautiful.

Pottery Barn Living Room Console

On the opposite wall is another fabulous Pottery barn piece, or should I say two. We've got a very long wall in our living room and wanted a lot of storage. To accomplish filling the length of the wall and to keep a neat look, we choose two Clerk's Cabinet Console Tables in French Blue finish.
