I've been longing for the Pottery Barn Astor Floor Standing Mirror for years. After 4 years, I've finally purchased it. See if this Pottery Barn Floor Mirror lived up to my expectations.
Pottery Barn Astor Standing Floor Mirror
We moved into our home almost 4 years ago. I knew exactly what I wanted in terms of bedroom furniture. A mixture of classic lines with glamorous features. As with most of my other furniture, I turned to Pottery Barn. You can view my Pottery Barn Bedroom to see all the details.
One thing that I knew I wanted was a standing floor mirror. I love a full-length mirror so I can see my full outfit. But, I also feel like it adds space and light to a room. I had my heart set on the r but it felt like a want more than a need. Especially since we were furnishing a whole house.
Instead, I bought a standing jewelry armoire with a full-length mirror. The functionality and storage was great, but it just wasn't the Astor mirror. I just couldn't get the Pottery Barn floor mirror out of my head.
Look-a-likes just don't cut it
I hunted for Pottery Barn dupes and look-a-likes but just couldn't find anything that measured up. Once you get to know the quality of PB, it's hard to downgrade. I went shopping with my mom a few times but always came up empty-handed.
Last Christmas, my parents surprised me with the floor mirror of my dreams. I rushed to pick it up when it arrived at our local store.
It was love at first sight. It's tall, heavy, sturdy, and everything I wanted. The wide beveled, mirrored frame surrounds the center glass, giving it a polished and elegant feel. It measures 30" wide x 72" tall x 1.5" deep.
The mirror comes with hangman brackets for vertical mounting, but I chose to simply lean it against the wall. I did add felt adhesive pads to the bottom so I could slide the mirror as needed. It blocks my central vacuum port so I like that I can move it when I need to. The mirror weighs 88 pounds so it's not likely to tip or slide, even with the pads.
