It's no secret that our family loves the show P. King Duckling on Disney Junior. The characters are adorable and we've had fun creating some crafts featuring P. King and his pals Wombat and Chumpkins. I've partnered with P. King Duckling to share our activities with you, plus a look at P. King's Great Jog app which is FREE and fun for the whole family!
P. King Duckling Bento Box
You may have seen my previous post about our P. King Duckling bento box which was a HUGE hit with our kids. It was pretty simple to make and they got a kick out of seeing their favorite characters made out of food. You can check out our bento box for inspiration!
P. King Duckling Felt Board Characters
Just recently we made a DIY felt board which was so easy. I thought it would be fun to create the P. King Duckling characters for our felt board so our kids could act out scenes from their favorite show! Felt naturally sticks to itself, so there wasn't much involved in the process besides cutting out the characters. I pulled up a picture of each character on my phone and then drew them out on the felt.
My drawings didn't have to be perfect because I flipped the felt over after cutting them out. After cutting all of them out, I added details with more felt and googly eyes.
These characters are so cute and it was fun to bring them to life with felt. I chose to hot glue the clothes onto the characters just because they were so small. I figured if I didn't glue them, they'd get misplaced pretty quickly.
The great thing about making felt characters for kids is that they don't have to be perfect. My kids could easily recognize P. King Duckling, Chumpkins, and Wombat. They love to move them around on the felt board and act out different scenes from the show. Felt is such a cheap and fun crafting tool!
P. King's Great Jog App
I recently learned about the NEW P. King Duckling app, P. King's Great Jog. It's FREE and and there are no in-app purchases which I, as a parent, appreciate. As soon as I found out about the app I downloaded it and my kids have been loving it!
The premise is simple: you play P. King Duckling as he travels around the world to his favorite cities. Use your finger to tap the screen and jump over obstacles and collect coins. The coins will help you get special super power costumes and you can also collect power-up icons. These icons give you invincibility, magnetic coin collecting powers, and speed-mode! You also collect turnips to earn a bonus trip to outer space!
P. King travels to many places, including his hometown of Hilly Hole, The Great Wall of China and even Paris!
P. King's Great Jog is a really simple app so even our twenty-month-old son can play. Our four-year-old gets the most use out of it, and she loves the bonus trips to outer space. It's a great app to have on hand while we're waiting and need to occupy the kids for just a few minutes. Honestly, my husband and I enjoy it too - it's addicting! You can download P. King's Great Jog for FREE!
