Well, it's official. We've experienced our first substantial snowfall in Minnesota this year! It actually ended up melting before Thanksgiving (no complaints here!) but I'm sure it won't be long before we have more. Luckily, I planned ahead this year and got boots for the kids last month so we were prepared! I've partnered with Lone Cone to share why their MudBoots are our favorite and which designs our kids were excited to wear this year.
Lone Cone MudBoots
We had these boots last year and they held up well, but my kids' feet grow SO fast! So this year it was time for a couple of new pairs. Lincoln and Harper couldn't wait to browse Lone Cone's MudBoots and pick out new designs! Lincoln immediately gravitated towards the Puddle-a-Saurus Dinosaur MudBoot which didn't surprise me at all; he has loved dinos for the past year and his hat from last year matches these boots perfectly!
Harper went with the Unicorn Dreams MudBoots but not because of the unicorns - it was the adorable kittens wearing crowns that sold her! (Though for the record, she totally loves unicorns too!)
One of my favorite things about MudBoots is that they have handles so little kids can easily pull them on. Before I had kids I was a toddler teacher at a daycare which meant getting 28 two-year-olds dressed and undressed twice a day for outside time; if every parent had known about these boots I think it would have made that time SO much easier!
Details on The Boots
MudBoots are 100% waterproof which is a necessity for our snowy Minnesota winters. The boot interior has a 5mm neoprene insulation layer to keep our kiddos' feet warm even in the coldest conditions!
When possible, we try to be conscious of the products our kids will be wearing and touching. When I heard that MudBoots are BPA-free, lead-free, cadmium-free, and phthalate free, I was even more excited about them!
Our kids can't wait for more snow so they can get more use out of their MudBoots! I won't be too sad if it holds out for a couple of weeks (after all, we will likely have snow through at least March!) but at least I know that we're prepared for it when it returns.
Be sure to check out all of Lone Cone's MudBoot design options because there's something for every child's interest! You can purchase MudBoots (and rain boots!) directly from Lone Cone or from Amazon!
