Fun fact: I absolutely adore "decades" parties! You know, when everyone comes adorned in the 50s', 60s', 70s', etc.? I'll be the first the volunteer for any opportunity I get to dress up iconic, in head-to-toe hair and costume replicas of any previous decade! I love how easy it is to replicate the hairstyles of the past, based on what was popular -- curled and pinned, big and fluffy, crimped, or sleek straight -- and I often wonder what will be the look of the 2010's when we look back on it. It seems like it could be any number of things! We are certainly in a day and age where it is acceptable to pull in ideas from anywhere and everywhere. We're finding our inspiration from a huge number of places and sites and the status quo is always being challenged. We millennials rewrite the rules as we go, and I've parntered wtih TRESemmé to show you how their new Beauty-Full Volume Collection is doing exactly that! This is a reverse wash and care system! The TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Collection helps you create beautiful, everyday touchable volume, and the process is simple. Using the complete hair system couldn't be easier because these big and bold numbers on the front to remind you to use the pre-wash conditioner first, and THEN the shampoo. I am definitely guilty of completely zoning out in the shower and mindlessly grabbing the wrong bottle while I day-dream away, so I'm glad there are big, noticeable numbers for my sake!
Step ONE: PRE-CONDITION TO SOFTEN
Use the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre‐wash Conditioner. Applying this first will protect your hair during washing and reinforce your hair's protective layer. It uses Fiber Polishing technology and I'm so glad it's completely safe for color-treated hair, because that tends to describe my hair more often than not!
Step TWO: WASH AWAY WEIGHT
Use the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo. Remember, don't worry about getting confused because TRESemmé has put a big "1" and a big "2" on the bottles to help you remember that this goes against the traditional order you're used to. This shampoo smells AMAZING. The goal is big volume, so this shampoo removes excess weight from the hair and leaves an ultra-light conditioning layer on the surface while it gently cleanses. You're left with volume and bounciness and controlled static, and it is also safe for color-treated hair.
Step THREE: CREATE
This is my favorite part. Pull out that TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximizer. Apply to damp hair from roots to ends so that the Fiber Polishing Actives and Fleximax Volumizers can contribute bounce, frizz control, manageability and smoothness to pre-blow dried hair. It offers great lift and leaves you with a touchable finish.
The TRESemmé Beauty‐Full Volume Touchable Bounce Mousse is also a favorite. The Fleximax Volumizers also found in the Maximizer create root lift and creates a light hold. It leaves your hair with touchable bounce and an incredible smell. Seriously, the entire system smells like a luxurious salon. I want to use this system all the days of my life if it means I can enjoy these scents every time I wash my hair and throughout the day.
Step FOUR: HOLD

I'm excited to show you what this TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Collection can do on my super thin and fine hair. My hair generally lacks volume and bounce, and I'm always trying out styles that create some lift and texture, so I couldn't wait to try this system out. To create this look, I used both the TRESemmé Beauty Full Volume Pre‐wash Conditioner and Volume Shampoo. I applied TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximizer and Mousse to slightly damp hair, working into the roots down to the ends. I blow dried with a round brush, then let everything set and cool in velcro rollers.
I waited about 20 min, then took out the rollers gently and used the hair finishing spray to lock in my finished style.
This everyday touchable volume is something I could really get used to! I LOVE the softness, and the controlled lift and hold that makes me feel like a just had my hair professionally styled. I am going to use every drop of this collection and will go back for more when it runs out.
