Busy Toddler Activities and the Step2 Panda Climber

This post may contain affiliate links. Click here for more information.

Your little is always on the move and wanting to explore new things. That's why we've put together a list of fun activities to keep your toddler busy. Plus, we've partnered with Step2 to give you a closer look at the Step2 Panda Climber for kids.

    Busy Toddler Activities

Is your little tot constantly on the move? Does he or she never ever stop? Well, my son definitely does NOT stop moving no matter what. I'm pretty sure his attention span is 5 seconds tops. I really don't know where he gets all of his energy from, but being that it is mid-summer, I find that when the mundane hits it's really hard to think outside of the box to curb their boredom. If you have this problem too, I've wrangled up my top easy activities for toddlers - and most of these items you should have already lying around your house! Plus, the ultimate toddler boredom cure that I was anxious to test out the Step2 Panda Climber! Oh, and if you're looking for indoor gross motor activities for toddlers, I've got a great post about that too!

    Step2 Panda Climber

Step2 Panda Climber | Busy Toddler Activities

Lets get on with the activities.

    1. Pipe Cleaners + Colander |No One Has More Fun than the Adams'
    2. PVC Pipe + Wooden Dowels | Montessori Messy
    3. Marshmallow + Toothpick 3D structures | Viva Veltoro
    4. Zipper Board | Laughing Kids Learn
    5. Edible Finger Paint | Musings from a Stay at Home Mom
    6. Wipes Container + Scrap Fabric | Happy Strong Home
    7. DIY Play Snow | Viva Veltoro

And, to help them burn off some of that energy - the Step2 Panda Climber! This climber is great for a busy toddler, like my little guy, and also helps improve gross motor skills. It arrived ready to be assembled and my husband graciously put the Step2 Panda Climber together after he read the instructions and helpful tips. It was ready to go in about 15 minutes. When my son woke up the next morning, I was so anxious to see his little face light up. We didn't own anything like this prior to its arrival. As I let him out to the backyard, he immediately went to the Step2 Panda Climber and started to go down the slide all by himself. It was my first time witnessing him do this! He is usually skittish about going down slides solo, but you would never know it while he was climbing all over this Step2 Panda Climber.

So we kept on playing... day after day...

Step2 Panda Climber | Busy Toddler Activities

Step2 Panda Climber | Busy Toddler Activities

Climb, climb, climb! My little tot mastered his Step2 Panda Climber flawlessly!

Step2 Panda Climber | Busy Toddler Activities

Step2 Panda Climber | Busy Toddler Activities

I LOVE how he can do a multitude of different activities all in one spot. Climbing, crawling, sliding, hiding and even some dancing. On both sides of the Step2 Panda Climber, there are slots for his little feet to climb up. Once he is up on the platform there is a safety rail that wraps around the back for extra security (see image above). The sturdy design really helps with keeping him safe while he plays on it. He also loves to crawl thru the large circles on the bottom and hide out under the platform! Such a sneaky little guy he is...

With the poly construction design, the Step2 Panda Climber is also able to be easily wiped clean for long-term use. The perfect age range for using this Step2 Panda Climber would be a year and a half to 5 years and up to 60 lbs. Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles, please keep this toy in mind! If you are on the hunt, the Step2 Panda Climber makes for the perfect gift! I just know your little guy or gal will love it just as much as my little man does!

Buy it: You can purchase the Step2 Panda Climber on the Step2 website or on Amazon.com.

The Panda climber looks like so much fun, my grandson would just love it..... I love Step2 products, they are built to last for years and years.... and all are made from high quality material..... We own the Step2 Picnic table and the Sand and water table which was purchased as birthday gifts..... but he really doesn't have any physically active toys yet!!! He is up walking around, climbing, running, etc now so he needs something to wear him out. lol But good luck everyone, I hope you win!!!!

I know that the kids, especially my Scarlett would positively love it so much! It looks like your son was very happy with it and totally was in love with it! It's always nice to watch your children having fun and loving something that they have! We don't have anything from Step2 for the kids because we just can't afford it with our budget! We are still watching every single penny and there's not much room to add anything else! Being on a fixed income really is a bummer when it comes to having money! Thanks so very, very much for sharing your wonderful review, all the fantastic pictures, and your personal and professional opinions on The Step2 Panda Climber with all of us! I would love to have the Grand Walk-in Kitchen and Grille for my 2-1/2 year old son for Christmas this year. We have something similar in our church nursery and he loves playing with it and we don't have a kitchen set at home. He loves to help me cook too and is just learning how to play pretend:)

I think we're a little ways out from this still, but the princess palace twin bed is adorable and I think my daughter needs it when we're ready to make that transition. Actually all the little kid beds were super cute but that was my fav. Plus she's a princess in her own mind so....

This is a way awesome toy/gift. It looks a lot safer than the higher one of these with multiple narrow stairs to get up at my in laws. My daughter likes it but is still a little hesitant about it. I like the approach to the slide much better on this one. Looks sturdier too in my opinion, which also is your opinion. PS your little guy is precious

I love that it isn't too tall..... small enough for toddlers to get on and you don't really have to worry about them falling off a long distance like you would in a taller climber meant for older children.
