This whimsical little appetizer will delight your guests. Not only is this pumpkin cheeseball cute, it's also delicious and extremely easy to prepare! Served with crackers or a veggie platter, it's the perfect fall appetizer.
We've all been there. You need to head to a gathering and you're supposed to bring a dish, but you're short on time. What do you do? You whip up this pumpkin shaped cheesball and please the crowd. To save time, we're using a store bought cheesball and just dressing it up a bit to make it fun and festive.
Make a Pumpkin Cheeseball
To dress up our cheeseball, we used simple ingredients that you might already have on hand: a cheese stick and a pepper top! We simply peeled the cheese stick into strips and used those to create the effect of sections on our pumpkin. Then, we used the stem of a green pepper to create the pumpkin's stem. Isn't it cute?!
You can serve your pumpkin cheeseball with crackers or a veggie platter (and put the rest of that green pepper to work!). We used a variety of vegetables like grape tomatoes, green peppers, carrots, raw broccoli, and celery, but you can choose whatever you'd like. Wouldn't this be a great Thanksgiving appetizer?
The hardest part about this pumpkin shaped appetizer is transporting it. We used a Rubbermaid Party Platter and it worked beautifully. If you aren't going anywhere, you can also use the Party Platter to serve it. Just arrange my platter how you'd like, store it in the fridge until dinner time, and then simply remove the lid and present it on the table.
