Our four year old has a huge imagination, so playing dress-up is a daily activity. We recently discovered the most amazing princess dresses and I HAD to throw a little party for Harper and her friends. The girls couldn't have been more excited about their Little Adventures costumes and getting dolled-up, and it was such a fun bonding day between moms and daughters. I've partnered with Little Adventures to show you some of their beautiful dresses + accessories, and to share our princess party with you. Plus, we have a discount code and a HUGE store credit for one lucky reader!
I have always loved princesses, and I was thrilled when my daughter asked for a princess dress for her fourth birthday. After doing some research I bought the Polynesian Princess dress from Little Adventures, and fell in love with their quality and designs. Harper put on the dress for her birthday party and she's worn it countless times since then.
With their soft fabrics and machine-washable costumes, I knew we needed to get our hands on more of their dresses. I thought it would be so fun for Harper and a few of her friends to get together for a princess day where they'd get the full treatment: hair, nails, make-up, glitter, and a beautiful dress to wear for the afternoon. I am thrilled to partner with Little Adventures to share these dresses and our fun mommy-daughter day!
Princess Dress-Up Party with Little Adventures Costumes
Inspired by a popular theme park dress-up experience, I set up a boutique for our little princesses. This vanity fit our theme perfectly and I gathered nail polish, hair accessories, make-up, and glitter.
We had the girls pick their favorite princess dresses ahead of time so there would be no disagreements on who got to wear what. They each got a personalized label and accessories to match their dresses.
Our girls are between ages three and five, and the dresses we have are all size medium. It was a real challenge to keep Harper from taking them all off the hangers to wear while we were setting up for our princess day!
As her friends began to arrive, Harper could barely contain her excitement. She immediately pulled them into the boutique area and helped them get into their dresses. After dressing, it was time for nails, hair, make-up, and glitter!
The moms got in on the action and we took photos of each pair to capture the fun memories we were making.
Each princess got to choose her nail polish color and eye make-up. I pulled up some princess hairstyles on the iPad so they could personalize their look even more, and they were so excited to be in charge of all the decisions.
Watching each of our girls transform into their favorite princess was an awesome experience. It was a day of pampering made even more fun because of the girls' excitement. I loved seeing the joy on their faces and watching them laugh and play with each other.
Little Adventures Costumes
This amazing princess day would not have been possible without our Little Adventures costumes. I have never seen such high quality dresses at such affordable prices. On top of that, Little Adventures offers accessories and a large variety of other costumes as well.
One of the best things about these dresses is that they're all machine washable. Considering Harper wants to wear them ALL THE TIME, I love that I can toss them in the washing machine without worrying about them falling apart. She will be able to wear these for at least a few years before she outgrows them, which is also a big plus. The quality is also a major factor in why we love Little Adventure costumes. Unlike other play dresses, these are made of soft, comfortable materials. They aren't scratchy or tight, and they have a bit of stretch to move with the girls while they run around. Here's a look at the dresses and accessories we featured during our princess day!
Deluxe Yellow Beauty Princess Dress 2017
Our first little princess was so excited to get into her costume. She chose a curly hair style, pink nail polish, and this Soft Gold Princess Crown to accessorize.
The Deluxe Yellow Beauty Princess Dress is absolutely stunning. I only wish I'd had play clothes like this when I was growing up! This little princess didn't want to take her dress off, even when it was time to go home! Her mom tells me that she still talks about our princess day - I think we may need to host another soon.
Check out the details on this beautiful dress. Everything is so intricate, down to the tiny red flowers on the shoulders and neckline. Can you believe it's machine washable?! Because it is!
Spanish Princess Dress
Next up was my daughter Harper's turn. She's got a current favorite princess and was SO excited to dress up like her in the Spanish Princess Dress! True to her personality, she chose the Diva Gold Crown and Princess Gloves to accessorize.
She had to have a side pony tail just like her favorite princess. Each of the girls got a rose after their makeover.
The Spanish Princess Dress is super soft and made of stretch velvet with printed china silk fabric. It's perfect for twirling and our daughter loves to wear the Fullness Slip underneath to make the dress even bigger!
Look at these two best friends having a blast in their princess dresses! It's so fun to watch their friendship grow as they do.
Ice Princess Dress
We were so lucky to have cousins visiting from out of state and they came to participate in our Little Adventures dress up day! Our Ice Princess wanted her hair in a beautiful braid with an accent of glitter.
The Ice Princess dress is so beautiful and comfortable! There are snowflakes and icy swirls all over and a stunning teardrop gem. And of course, it's machine washable!
Scandinavian Princess 2017
We couldn't forget about the Ice Princess' sister who couldn't wait to wear the Scandinavian Princess! She chose an up-do and the Diva Gold crown to accessorize.
This little beauty was the youngest princess and the dress was just a tiny bit large on her. However, since it's made of a stretchy velvet bodice you couldn't tell! I love the details on this beautiful costume!
She's got one of the fullness skirts underneath her dress to give it just a little more *poof*! The Little Adventures Scandinavian Princess Dress has lovely floral detailing and a gorgeous aqua teardrop pendant.
Look at these two loving sisters! They were so sweet together, and reminded me of the characters they were dressed as.
Our daughter has a few favorite princesses, and she could not have been more thrilled about this next dress. The Scottish Princess Dress is probably my favorite of all the costumes, too (though I think I feel that about each dress as I see it!). Harper wanted her hair down and flowy, just like the real princess.
I adore the puffy sleeves and all of the gold edging on this gorgeous dress. The hip drapes add so much to the overall look, and it's made of comfortable velvet material. Also, the teal color is just stunning.
Deluxe Rapunzel Dress
One of our little princesses wanted to try on another costume, so she climbed into the Deluxe Rapunzel Dress!
Could she be any sweeter? I don't think so! The Deluxe Rapunzel dress is just stunning. It's got vibrant pinks and purples, sweet flower details, puffy sleeves, and gorgeous gold trim. It's the perfect princess dress.
I wish I had taken video to record their delight about the whole experience-I think they each truly walked away from the day feeling like a princess!
Would you love to give your kids a fun princess day like we did? Our friends at Little Adventures are generously giving one lucky reader a $150 shop credit!
