I was asked to participate in the #SayMore campaign, sponsored by Hershey's and Walgreens. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.
My husband is the kind of gift-giver that goes out on Christmas Eve morning to pick something out. Same with my Dad. Is that a guy thing? I feel like the gifting process should be an event you enjoy the whole season long! Why save it until the very last day!? I love the plotting and the planning and especially the shopping when I have a good theme to shop for. How wonderful that there are so many people to shop for during the holidays -- our friends, family, coworkers, teachers, even the mailman!
This year, we hit up Walgreens to pick up some holiday things along with the new KISSES DELUXE Chocolates! Walgreens is always so convenient for when I have a variety of things I'm looking for, from sweets and gifts to prescriptions and batteries. One-stop shops are my kind of retail when I've got long lists and limited time.
Just as I had hoped, we found those beautiful chocolates among the Christmas treats!
HERSHEY'S KISSES Chocolates are everywhere at Christmas time. Their shiny wrappers look so festive, the KISS-shaped chocolate goes so well on gingerbread houses and trains, and who doesn't love getting "kisses" for Christmas, but these are DELUXE. They are souped up KISSES Chocolates that are twice the size and filled with whole roasted hazelnut centers!
Beautiful, right? They're premium chocolates expertly made. They come in a 3-piece, 4-piece, 15-piece pouch, and 20-piece box (which is a Walgreens-exclusive) and a 35-piece box, so you can go from pocket-size to under-the-tree size! Check out these whole hazelnuts in rich milk chocolate:
With all that shiny gold wrapper to love, I thought that a gold-themed gift basket would be so fun to put together for my sister this Christmas!
With the KISSES DELUXE Chocolates as our centerpiece in our gift basket, we shopped around the store to pick up a fun array of glittery gold accessories! I love how easy it is to pick out gifts at Walgreens because of the beautiful displays, the on-trend colors and fashions, and the best brands to shop from. We picked out a cosmetic bag, nail polish, mascara, bobby pins, hair ties, a winter beanie, a mini tree topper, gold earrings, some eye makeup, and a giant gold coin! Plus some wrapping paper and bows for the wrapping. Putting it all together was all fun and no stress, especially because I didn't have to do any store-hopping. I really love a one-stop store when it comes to holidays!
With the giant round coin on the bottom, I stacked everything on top closely together and gathered it up in cellophane wrapping. Tie it with gold ribbons and a tag, and you've got an impressive and totally thoughtful gift for that special person in your life!
I'm really looking forward to giving this to my sister the next time we meet. She's been on a church service mission for the last year and has been so engrossed in service that she really hasn't had time to go shopping for anything glam or girly. She really deserves something that gleams and she is totally going to love the HERSHEY'S KISSES Chocolates inside!
I think the key to making a gift extra special is paying attention to the finishing touches. It is easy to buy something online and have it sent directly, or to just hand over a gift card, but when you go out of your way to make a handmade card and add a little bit of sweetness on top, you're really going to make an impression! Here is the big gift for my hubby:
Look how prepared I am! All ready to go for Christmas! With those KISSES DELUXE Chocolates on top, I think he'll know that whatever is inside the box is something extra fantastic. See, this is one way that you can #SayMore when there is something sweet you want to convey, and to everyone and anyone on your shopping list!
