Vanity Fair Flattering Lift Bra Review

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - what you put on underneath your clothes can really make a difference in your overall appearance. Your lingerie is the foundation of your entire outfit, and an ill-fitting bra or pair of underwear can literally ruin your look. No matter what you put on, if you don't have the right foundation underneath, you won't look or feel your best. On the flip side, having the right undergarments can work wonders. Like many women, 8 out of 10 to be exact, I didn't know my correct bra size until I had a professional fitting from Vanity Fair a few months ago. Looking back, I could kick myself for not getting fitted sooner. As soon as I got a better, proper-fitting bra, I noticed a difference in my appearance and I felt more confident. I've been wearing the Vanity Fair Women's Beauty Back Full Coverage Underwire Bra every single day since I reviewed it a few months ago (I've bought 8 more of them since), so I was ecstatic when Vanity Fair's brand new Flattering Lift Bra arrived.

As a woman who went through a breast reduction in the past because of overwhelmingly large breasts, I'm used to wearing minimizing bras. However, since my body has changed so much after weight fluctuations and having two children, I figured I could use a little help in the "lift" department.

I received the color Rosebeige and Cream and it's simply lovely. I prefer nude colored bras on most days, so this bra is absolutely perfect for me. The Flattering Lift bra comes in 5 gorgeous colors and since the designers at Vanity Fair brands are always scouting emerging trends and styles to help inspire confidence and support from the inside out, the colors are completely on-point with this season's fashions. I especially like the Silver and Ash combination and Cherries Jubilee is so festive for the holidays.

The first thing I noticed about this bra was the lace overlay. Since they're located on the outer side of the cups and in the center, you won't be left with unflattering lumps and bumps on your blouse. The lace provides such a feminine touch, while still making this bra completely functional and t-shirt appropriate. The second thing I noticed was a lack of bulky padding. When I think about bras that promise a "lift," huge foam padded cups come to mind, but the Flattering Lift bra is completely different.

The Flattering Lift was designed to provide the ultimate natural lift to enhance your body’s shape. To accomplish this, the bra features a “bump pad” to give you a subtle, natural lift, all while still providing full coverage. Having full coverage is really a must for me. As a mom who is always on the move and bending over constantly to pick up after my two children, I hate spilling out of my bra's cups or having to adjust my bra with every movement. The Flattering Lift provides just the right amount of boost while still giving me the support I need. As you can see in the photo above, this bra is also outfitted with underwire (another must for me) so you get that added support with a good bit of lift and separation.

You can customize your fit thanks to the adjustable, convertible shoulder straps, and I noticed that they're really the perfect width. They're not too thick and bulky, and they're not so thin that they dig into your shoulders. The back of the bra has a thicker band, almost reminiscent of my beloved Beauty Back, so I wasn't plagued with unsightly back bulge. There's also a hook & eye closure system with three settings for you to choose from. Speaking of that, did you know you should be choosing a bra based on how it fits on the middle hook? That's another thing I'd been doing wrong all these years!

Overall, I think the Vanity Fair Flattering Lift bra truly lives up to its name. It's absolutely flattering and provides just the right amount of lift. It helps to highlight my body's shape and is a fabulous foundation piece that makes me feel and look good in my clothes.
