When you think about it, Tieks are a good investment. Girl math says so.
I Love Tieks.
I've been wearing Tieks since 2015. Admittedly, I was hesitant to buy Tieks at first. Were Tieks worth the money? Would they live up to the hype? I took the plunge and never looked back. The answers were always an abounding, "YES." You can read more about why I'm obsessed with these ballet flats in my full Tieks review.
My very first pair, which was Cardinal Red, is still in rotation. When I first got them, I wore them ALL. THE. TIME. They felt great on my feet and allowed me to do all the things I needed to do in comfort. That led me to purchase a few more. Before I knew it, I had quite the collection of Tieks shoes.
Girl Math Says Tieks Are Basically Free
A lot of people have asked me how I can justify spending money on designer flats. Well, allow me to break it down for you.
First and foremost, Tieks offers free shipping. That's like saving $10+ per pair right off the bat. In my case, I've saved hundreds of dollars on shipping costs over the years. With girl math, I've actually made money on that deal.
Second, each time you wear them the price goes down. I bought my Matte Black Tieks about 7 or 8 years ago. Now, if my math is mathing, the cost per wear is minuscule. Let's work it out:
- Matte Black Tieks: $185
- I've had them for 7 years. $185 divided by 7 years = $26.43 per year.
- If I wear them just once per week that's $26.43 divided by 52 weeks = $0.51 per week. That's just FIFTY-ONE CENTS per wear!
If I wore them twice a week, that's only $0.26 per wear. See, they're basically free!
AND, think about this. If you receive Tieks gift cards for special occasions and holidays, you save even more. Once people know you love Tieks, it's so easy for them to purchase you a physical or e-gift card and those add up. Redeem a gift card and it takes that cost per wear down to almost nothing.
I know this is a cheeky take, but in all seriousness, Tieks have been a worthy investment for me. They're classic, comfortable, and are consistently in style. I really can't say that a lot of the items I bought nearly a decade ago are still relevant. Tieks have stood the test of time. Here's to girl math and treating yourself!

I bought tieks and thought they hurt my feet. I wore them again and I can't take them off, I want every color now but they are a little pricey but they are so worth it. Love tieks

Some shoes need a little time to break in, but once that leather molds to you feet, it's amazing! I'm so glad you love your Tieks too.

Once again, great review. I love your “Girl Math” and how you broke it down to cost per wear. As you know I’m A huge Tieks fan and I’m going to adapt your Girl Math to Boy Math when it comes to buying Tieks for myself.
