A few weeks ago I got a magical, pixie dusted email invitation from Disney to attend the D23 Expo, the ULTIMATE Disney fan event. I'm heading to Anaheim, California from July 13th to 16th and I'd love for you to follow along. Check out what we'll be doing below!
I've worked with Disney several times over the past few years, like when I went to the Finding Dory premiere and the time I got to interview Lin-Manuel Miranda from Moana. It's always exciting when an invitation lands in my inbox. You never really know what will be in-store during these press events, but you can bet the trip will have once in a lifetime opportunities and experiences. So, when I opened up my email a few weeks ago and saw the invitation to the D23 Expo I knew I had to go!
D23 Expo - the ultimate Disney fan event
The D23 Expo is run by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, and this bi-annual event celebrates all the magic, wonder, and adventure of Disney. The most passionate Disney fans from across the country will convene at the Anaheim Convention Center for three full days of “inside-the-magic” experiences, exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming films from The Walt Disney Studios, dazzling celebrity appearances, unforgettable presentations given by Disney luminaries, a look at what’s coming from Disney Parks and Resorts and Walt Disney Imagineering, the Disney Legends ceremony (honoring Oprah Winfrey, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Stan Lee, Julie Taymor, and other remarkable contributors to the Disney legacy), and the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibition, which spotlights crown jewels from Disney’s timeless legacy.
While we're in Anaheim, we'll also join Disney XD for a special sneak peek of the upcoming animated series "DuckTales." Based on the Emmy Award-winning series treasured by a generation of viewers (including ME as a child), the new animated comedy-adventure series chronicles the high-flying adventures of Duckburg's most famous trillionaire Scrooge McDuck, his mischief-making triplet grandnephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, temperamental nephew Donald Duck and the trusted McDuck Manor team: big-hearted, fearless chauffer/pilot Launchpad McQuack, no-nonsense, housekeeper Mrs. Beakley, and Mrs. Beakley's granddaughter, Webby Vanderquack, resident adventurer and the triplet's newfound fierce friend.

I'll also have the opportunity to dive into the one-and-only Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin at the D23 Expo! Oh yeah!
Our fantastic group of 25 bloggers will also be spending 2 nights at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure park to experience the “Summer of Heroes!” Disney California Adventure park is officially the destination for adventure, intrigue and triumph as recruits from around the world – like you – join forces with legendary Super Heroes in an ever-expanding universe of stories that will grow even bigger over time including the thrilling, rocking attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
This will be my very first visit to Disneyland and I am SO excited. I've wanted to visit this park since I was a child and this is definitely a bucket list item for me. I can't wait to experience the #SummerofHeroes!
