Chicken with white wine butter sauce has been a family favorite recipe for years. I've partnered with Perdue Farms to share this recipe and some information about their direct-to-consumer boxes that are available now.
Chicken is the staple protein in our home. We eat it several times a week in different forms. I'm always looking to find the best deal on the highest quality meat possible. So, when Perdue Farms reached out to me about their new direct-to-consumer offerings, I was all in. Getting organic, quality protein delivered right to my door without the hassle of going to the grocery store? Yes, please!
Buying Chicken through Perdue Farms
Perdue Farms has a website where you can order chicken and other premium proteins directly to your house. Shopping like this helps you skip the middleman. You're probably already familiar with Perdue thanks to their reputation in the poultry world. Now, they've got so much more to offer now.
2020 marks Perdue Farms' 100th anniversary. They've been working with small farmers for a century to bring consumers high-quality proteins while treating animals with care. Perdue Farms is passionate about farming, land preservation, and healthy and nutritious food and it shows.
Perdue Farms is committed to being a thoughtful steward of the environment. They've taken several steps to ensure they're reducing their carbon footprint when delivering these packages to your door. The cardboard packing is made from 100% recycled material and then you can recycle the box once you've unpacked it. Instead of styrofoam or some other insulation that will sit in our landfills, Perdue Farms uses Green Cell Foam®. This eco-friendly packaging is biodegradable, compostable, and made from high-grade non-GMO cornstarch so it dissolves in water. I seriously love this! To keep it frozen they use dry ice and my box was delivered in perfect condition. To top it off, you'll also receive a reusable and recyclable grocery bag with every purchase. Chicken with white wine butter sauce
I couldn't wait to get started using this organic chicken. I love how the items are vacuum-sealed for freshness and they're split into smaller portions. To make my mom's chicken with white wine butter sauce, I needed 4 breasts. I used two out of the three packages sent to me.
This recipe is fairly easy to make and everyone in my family gobbles it up! Even my kids and they're pretty picky eaters. The chicken comes out so tender that you can usually cut it with a fork.
How to make chicken with white wine butter sauce
I like to use seasoned Italian bread crumbs since a lot of herbs and flavors have already been added. It makes it that much easier. Lots of butter and a touch of white wine make for a perfect sauce to pour over the chicken.
The end result is a perfectly cooked, tender chicken breast that everyone will love. I pair this dish with mashed potatoes, roasted fingerling potatoes, or rice. Then just along with a vegetable to round out the meal.
