Chicken with white wine butter sauce
I couldn't wait to get started using this organic chicken. I love how the items are vacuum-sealed for freshness and they're split into smaller portions. To make my mom's chicken with white wine butter sauce, I needed 4 breasts. I used two out of the three packages sent to me.
This recipe is fairly easy to make and everyone in my family gobbles it up! Even my kids and they're pretty picky eaters. The chicken comes out so tender that you can usually cut it with a fork.
How to make chicken with white wine butter sauce
I like to use seasoned Italian bread crumbs since a lot of herbs and flavors have already been added. It makes it that much easier. Lots of butter and a touch of white wine make for a perfect sauce to pour over the chicken.
The end result is a perfectly cooked, tender chicken breast that everyone will love. I pair this dish with mashed potatoes, roasted fingerling potatoes, or rice. Then just along with a vegetable to round out the meal.
Chicken with White Wine Butter Sauce
A delicious, tender chicken dish with a white wine butter sauce.
- 4 chicken breasts (butterflied to make 8 pieces)
- 1.5 cups seasoned Italian breadcrumbs
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan/ Asiago / Romano cheese blend could use just Parmesan if preferred
- 1.5 tbsp garlic powder use more or less to taste
- 1.5 sticks butter
- 0.5 cup dry white wine
- 0.25 cups fresh parsley chopped
- 0.33 cups green onions chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Butterfly chicken breasts and pound them out so they're thin and tender.
Mix seasoned Italian bread crumbs, grated cheese, and garlic powder in a bowl or plate.
Dip pieces of chicken in butter, then coat them with bread crumb mixture. Lay them on a rimmed cookie sheet or in a baking dish.
Set aside leftover butter while you put the chicken in the oven.
Add dry white wine, chopped green onions, and fresh parsley to the butter and let it simmer on very low heat while chicken cooks.
Allow chicken to cook for 30 minutes or until they're golden brown, then pour the butter and wine mixture over the chicken and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
I hope you love this recipe and it becomes a favorite for your family too. Check out the other bundles on the Perdue Farms site.
