I've partnered with Best Buy to share why I'm loving the Skullycandy Push™ True Wireless In-Ear Headphones they sent me to try out. So, are these the best Skullcandy earbuds? Read below to find out!
Have you tried Truly Wireless earbuds yet? I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones that wirelessly connect to my phone and iWatch, but there is still a wire that runs across the back of my neck, connecting the left and right earpiece. I also have a pair of wireless bone-conduction headphones, but again, there's a connecting piece that runs across the back of my neck. They both do their job, but neither is as discrete as I'd prefer them to be. Having a large earpiece hooked to your outer ears and then a cord or wire running across your back is hardly low profile. That's why I wanted to try a pair of Truly Wireless earbuds and the Skullcandy Push™ True Wireless In-Ear Headphones from Best Buy seemed like a great choice. As you know, Skullcandy has a lot of wireless earbuds, but Push earbuds are their only True Wireless version with no wires running between the buds or to your phone.
Best Skullcandy Earbuds
The first thing I noticed about the Push in-ear headphones is that they don't look like your average earbuds. That's probably because they aren't. Skullcandy is changing up the game with its bold color and sleek fit. Thanks to Bluetooth® Wireless Technology, you can listen to your favorite songs or podcasts comfortably, without wires holding you back.
To adjust the volume, you simply use the single-button controls. Push the button on the right earbud twice to raise the volume and push the button on the left earbud twice to lower the volume. You'll also use these buttons to track from song to song, and accept and disconnect calls. I found the controls to be super convenient once you have them memorized. Since the buttons are large, you'll want to be careful not to hit them accidentally when adjusting the buds in your ears. I did that a few times until I learned to manipulate them by the edges instead.
One thing that always worries me about earbuds is the fit. I've had in-ear headphones that just always seemed to fall out of my ears. This is especially frustrating when I'm working out. Thanks to the Secure FitFin gel ear tips, the Skullcandy Push True Wireless earbuds fit really well. They come with different-sized tips so you can pick which pair fits your ears best. Plus, the FitFin gel design makes them water-resistant, which is fantastic since I do a lot of running outdoors in the Florida heat and humidity.
As a runner, battery life is also important to me. I don't want to be on a long run and suddenly be without the music that helps keep me going. With the Skullcandy Push earbuds, you get 6 hours of battery life in the earbuds and another 6 hours in the charging case.
I love that the earbuds turn on automatically when taken out of the case. It's so convenient. Pairing them with my iPhone X was insanely easy. The earbuds paired right away and I simply selected them from my Bluetooth list and I was all set. It took maybe 10 seconds.
The sound delivery is fantastic. My music sounds great and my calls are crystal clear. For phone calls, you can only hear the caller in your left ear (and I sort of wish you could hear with both), but this isn't a dealbreaker for me. My husband did mention that I sounded like there was a bit of an echo on a few calls, but no one else had any complaints.
I love how low-profile these earbuds are. You can't even tell I'm wearing them if my hair is down. So far, I'm pretty thrilled with these and can't wait to see how they continue to perform in the months to come.
You can get a pair of Skullcandy Push headphones at your local Best Buy or on BestBuy.com.
