Our family moved to upstate New York last week and all I keep hearing from the locals is how much snow they get up here! Finding my children some reliable Fall/Winter boots quickly rose on my to-do list since I have a couple of kids in elementary school this year, and See Kai Run shoes were the first place I wanted to look. I've partnered with See Kai Run to share with you why I love them so much and why I think they are the best Fall/Winter shoes for school-age kids.
See Kai Run Shoes
Over the years, we've owned some so-so boots and some incredible boots, and all the best ones have come from See Kai Run. I might be their biggest fan and advocate when it comes to their shoes because I have seen them endure season after season of heavy wear, and still look so fantastic that I can actually pass them down to the next child. Now that is a sign of high-quality footwear. Not only are they durable, but they are so fashionable! I love the colors and materials they use, and my kids are always just as excited about a new pair of See Kai Run shoes.
I think my oldest child, who is turning 7 next month, has the most requirements when it comes to footwear. I need to be able to send him to school in one pair of shoes that will withstand the seasonal weather on the walk to school, remain comfortable while he's in class, and still allow him to be athletic and agile on the playground and in gym class. See Kai Run's Runners check all the boxes for us.
See Kai Run Runners
These are the Atlas shoes in Green and we love them! First of all, they are water resistant and as you can see on the tag below, they are cold rated up to -35 degrees F. I don't have to send him in traditionally bulky snow boots because these Runners will keep his feet warm just fine. Then when he gets to school, the shoes remain breathable, lightweight, and flexible so he can be comfortable in class.
He can wear these every single day without having to bring extra tennis shoes on Gym Day because these provide the appropriate traction on all surfaces. We're still working on learning to tie shoes, so the velcro features are perfect, and the grays, greens, and blues look very "cool kid".
My next son just started Kindergarten this year and he is loving it! As I was looking for the best Fall/Winter shoes for him, the same criteria applied -- we were looking for waterproof, durable, and flexible shoes that would last the entire school year. We picked out the Sam Runners because they look like macho hiking boots, but they're still perfect for the bus stop, the classroom, and gym class.
What I love most about the See Kai Run brand is how the soles are designed for great traction and the entire lower part of the shoe is so durably constructed. Some of our See Kai Run shoes are being passed down from kid to kid after years of wear and they have never threatened to fall apart. Believe me, I've taken shoe glue to a number of other brands, trying to mend soles that are coming away from the shoe at the heel.
The rubberized toe is another favorite feature of mine on all these active shoes. Not only do they protect toes, but they keep the shoes looking fantastic. The toes don't scuff or peel, and they further help to keep these shoes waterproof. The bungee cord laces are also really fun! When the velcro strap at the top is lifted, the shoe opening is plenty wide enough to get feet inside without a struggle. Another reason why I love these shoes for my active boys is that they have high ankles. My boys' feet are supported in lightweight but strong footwear that will protect them in their activities throughout the day.
My little toddler wants to do everything her older brothers do, and she is often out exploring new territory right alongside them. I knew she needed durable and active shoes that would hold up just as well as her brothers' shoes, so I was delighted to see these totally adorable boots in her size!
See Kai Run Boots
These are the Abby Runners in Brown, and there are just SO many things I want to squeal about when it comes to these shoes! Are they not the most adorable little hikers?! These mid-height boots are waterproof and insulated with a -35 degree thermal liner to keep her feet warm in the coldest and wettest conditions. The mid-height is perfect for the exploring 2-year-old who wants to climb everything!
I'm a huge fan of the rubber toe cap, as well as the bungee laces, but my all-time favorite feature is the soft and cozy lining! The tiny peek of faux fur at the top of the shoes make me envious that these are not made in my size.
All of my kids are SO happy in their new See Kai Run winter boots! They are already begging to wear them every day and the cold weather hasn't really hit yet. I feel very prepared for this upcoming winter and so relieved that all of my kids have the best footwear available for all of their activities. I will recommend See Kai Run, hands down, when mothers ask me about shoes for the kids, regardless of the season, but I really think See Kai Run hit it out of the park with their Fall and Winter shoes this year.
These might be the last pictures that these kids have of just the three of them because...
Surprise! I'm pregnant with our fourth (and last!), and due next month! I didn't want this little girl to feel left out, so she is also getting her own pair of See Kai Run shoes!
See Kai Run crib shoes
These are the Cruz crib shoes in Berry, and they are going to be perfect for the chilly nights ahead of us! The non-skid PU dot pattern on the suede outsole are going to be perfect for those first steps. The warm red leather footbed looks so festive to me, and check out this faux shearling lining! My babies tend to have wide and pudgy feet, so I'm glad there is a wide opening with a hook and eye strap that will allow for growth and comfort.
Now we really have everyone in the family covered! Beyond Fall and Winter boots, See Kai Run has a fabulous line-up of high-tops, Mary Janes, rainboots, sandals, sneakers, trainers, and more. Go check out all the adorable styles! You can also get these shoes on Amazon.com.
Disclosure: I received these See Kai Run shoes in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are my own.
