Babymel is a London based company that was founded in 2006 by Melanie Marshall and Suzi Bergman, the co-founders of Storksak. The first bag they created was the "Amanda," a chic and lightweight shoulder bag. From there the collection grew to include several beautiful bags, all of which include their patent pending strollerstrap. Babymel bags are modern and hip, while being fully functional and practical for moms!
You may remember that I had the pleasure of reviewing the Babymel Amanda Quilted Diaper Bag during our Fit For a Princess event. I absolutely adore this bag! So much in fact, it was the only bag I used since the moment I received it. That is until I got my hands on one of Babymel's BRAND NEW fall fashions, the Amanda Printed in Orchid Bloom Red!
The Amanda Printed is now available in a fabulous new fashion for fall, Orchid Bloom Red! It has all of the same features that I know and love from the Amanda Quilted, just in a fun, fashionable new print! Isn't it perfect for Fall?!
The Babymel Amanda Orchid Bloom Red features a lot of storage space in a relatively compact bag. The outside of the bag has 4 great pockets, two large deep pockets on the front, one large compartment on the back with a magnetic closure, and one insulated zippered bottle pocket on the side of the bag. The last time I reviewed this bag, I had a bit of difficulty fitting my 8 ounce Dr. Brown's bottle inside the pocket; it was definitely a tight fit. This bag seems to have a bit more room and I didn't have any difficulty zipping up this pocket. The insulation and zipper closure ensures that your liquids will be kept warm or cold. You can see in the photo above that the two pockets on the front of the bag are separated by a strip of coordinating brown leather for a fabulous fashionable touch. The zipper pulls are also made from this leather, which I love. I can't tell you how many bags I've had with a "metal" zipper pull that ends up breaking in half or breaking off completely, leaving the bag non-functional and awful looking. Those repairs can be costly too! The Amanda Orchid Bloom Red also features Babymel's signature logo on a matching leather heart-shaped keychain attached to the bag.
The Amanda Orchid Bloom Red has an adjustable wide shoulder strap so you can go from crossbody to shoulder bag in a matter of seconds. The wide strap is also great for prolonged carrying to prevent fatigue and the strap from digging in. Of course, the strap also features Babymel's patent pending Strollerstrap! This strap is SO handy for strolling, and even grocery shopping! Just use the strollerstrap to attach your Babymel bag to your stroller's handle or shopping cart and you're on your way! No need for extra stroller clips, these are built right into the bag! Also, no need to worry about your bag sliding off the handlebar or someone swiping your gorgeous bag - it's secure!
Let's talk about the inside of the bag now since that's pretty important too! The Babymel Amanda Orchid Bloom Red features a large main compartment that is very roomy! There is one zippered pocket and 5 elasticized pockets to hold all of your essentials. The included padded changing mat perfectly matches the interior lining which easily wipes clean. The material of the changing mat and lining is phthalate free and water resistant. You can see in the photos below that I'm able to carry three cloth diapers, a wetbag, sippy, toys, food, and much more in my Babymel bag without any difficulty at all. If you use disposable diapers you'll have even more room. The entire center compartment has a zippered closure so you can be confident your items will remain safe and sound inside your bag.
Now, let's talk about how the Amanda Orchid Bloom Red can really accentuate your Fall wardrobe! I've worn this bag several times now and I love it! The print and colors are gorgeous (I don't think pictures really do it justice) and they are perfect for Fall and beyond.
Overall, I think the Babymel Amanda Printed in Orchid Bloom Red is lovely. I'm extremely pleased with the quality and functionality of this bag. Babymel has become one of my favorite brands and they did not disappoint with this fabulous print.
