I feel like I'm always running errands and with two little kids it's no easy task. That's why I love the new features on the CVS Pharmacy app. They help me save time and money - two of my favorite things!
You know I'm a big fan of shopping at CVS. Ever since I figured out how to coupon without going nuts, I've been able to score great deals and save tons of money on products that my family uses everyday. It's not all about money though; it's also about my time (which is valuable!). I've been able to take saving to next level with the CVS Pharmacy app and I'm telling you how.
5 ways to save time and money
using the CVS Pharmacy app
CVS Pay - This. is. HUGE. I already mentioned how CVS Pay is making errand running so much easier and I can't stress it enough. In case you haven't heard, CVS Pay is now part of the CVS Pharmacy mobile app and it integrates payment, prescription pickup and the ExtraCare loyalty program all in one quick scan at checkout. That means you can mange prescriptions within the app, initiate a refill then head to the store and pick it up with just one scan of your phone screen. You can even order additional items and they'll be waiting for you when you get to the store. See the time-saving that's happening here? Also, not that I have "mom brain" or anything (I totally do), but I forgot my wallet in the car on my last trip to CVS. Instead of having to pull my baby out of the cart and wrangle my kids outside to go get it, I was just able to use CVS Pay and the credit card I'd already stored within the app to pay. Little things like that make a big difference to me.
CVS Express - If you have kids in car seats, you're going to LOVE the CVS Express curbside pickup option. That's right, you can stay in your car and they'll bring the items out to you. Just shop online or in the CVS Pharmacy app and they'll text you when your order is ready. Just drive to the store and the app will let the associates know when you're nearby and they'll bring the items right to your car once you're parked at the curbside pickup spot.
ExtraCare Card - I'm already a big fan of the CVS ExtraCare loyalty rewards program, so being able to link my card directly in the app and getting access to app-only deals is a big benefit. By using the app, you can send offers to your card so you can skip paper coupons altogether and they'll be automatically applied at checkout once you scan (and it's fully integrated with CVS Pay so it's totally seamless!). By shopping sales through the CVS Weekly Ad (which you can do directly in the app and make a shopping list) and cashing in on ExtraCare deals AND using manufacture's coupons if you plan ahead, you can save big money by shopping at CVS.
Prescription Management and Refills - I mentioned earlier that you can manage multiple prescriptions for your entire family and initiate refills within the CVS Pharmacy app (and use CVS Pay to checkout in a flash). No more calling and waiting. You can refill your prescriptions on your own time. Plus, when you utilize CVS Pay, your privacy is completely protected. No need to call out your name and verify your date of birth; it's all right there inside the app and a quick scan by the associate is all you need to do to pay and be on your way.
Plus, a SUPER cool feature that I just discovered is Med Reminder. You can set up medication reminders for yourself or those you care for and you'll get an alert on your phone. Or, and this is REALLY cool, you can even get alerts on your Apple Watch!
Photo Center - How long has it been since you've printed a photo? It's been way too long for me. I get a false sense of security since I have all of my photos saved on my phone or Facebook, but there are too many "what ifs" to think about. With the Photo Center on the CVS Pharmacy app, you can print photos directly from your phone or Facebook with free same-day pickup available in stores. This is a definite time saver for me because I hate waiting for photos to upload on photo sharing sites. Being able to choose the photos to print directly from my phone is hassle-free and makes it easy for me to check off another item on my to-do list.
