I teamed up with Netflix and the #StreamTeam for this post.
They always say that dog is man's best friend. One thing I know for sure is that dog is definitely toddler's best friend. My parents have the most adorable dog name Neeko and he and my son are inseparable whenever they're together. This dog is usually at my mother's feet, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week, but as soon as the Wubba walks in the door it's all about him. Neeko just wants to be near him at all times. He lays at his feet when he's streaming cartoons on his iPad, snuggles up to his lap, brings him toys to play with - even at nap and bedtime, Neeko lays next to his crib to watch over him.
I think my little guy gets his overwhelming love for animals from my husband. He is truly a "dog whisperer" and grew up with furry friends all his life. He can't wait for the day when we can get our own dog (I've said repeatedly, no dogs until the Wubba is a little older and can help and learn responsibility). Until then, we visit Neeko as often as possible and stream lots of shows and movies about pets on Netflix. Our favorite has always been "Clifford", but now that my toddler is getting a bit older he will even sit through most of "Milo and Otis" (a non-cartoon!). My little animal lover is also excited to start streaming "The Adventures of Puss in Boots" -a new Netflix series that launched on January 16th.
To show Neeko how much we love him, I thought it would be fun to make him some homemade dog treats, with the Wubba's help of course. I rounded up several great recipes to share with you so you can treat your pup as well!
Oatmeal Peanut Butter Dog Treats from Shared Sugar
Homemade Frozen Dog Treats from Occasionally Crafty
Peanut Butter Dog Treats from Sally's Baking Addiction
Homemade Sweet Potato Dog Treats from Thrifty Jinxy
Frozen Pupsicles from Positively
Healthy Homemade Dog Treats from Back to Her Roots
Gluten Free Pumpkin Dog Treats from Stockpiling Moms
We'll be celebrating our favorite furry friend with some of these
delicious looking treats and I hope you will too!

I can't wait to pass this along to my daughter for her fur babies! They're Huskies. They weigh about 50 lbs so they are not little girls

With two children, now, it's a long reach until we would get a dog (or any pet). But it's nice to know you can make your own dog treats. Thanks for sharing!

i used to make all my dogs foods. but with 3 got to be a little too much, make cookies w/ turkey bacon, frozen yogurt, sweet potatoes slices, thin and crispy, bone broth, steamed kale and mustard greens w/ olive oil- can also roast these as well. i stay w/ all natural, organic, no grain treats.

These are great recipes! They will make a great present for my brother who has two dogs. It is something my kids will definitely get into and they can have a special homemade gift for their uncle.

I love making my pets homemade compared to store bought, much better ingredients you can use that are all natural and safer.

I don't have a pet but I know that they can be expensive. If you can make a treat at home, you'll save money and you know what's in it.
Jerry Marquardt says
I am going to go ahead and try this out, thank you for the share.

These look perfect for our dogs. We don't like to feed them healthier treats and homemade food. They love anything with peanut butter, so we'll be making those soon.
