I love, love, love game day! Spending 6.5 years at the University of Florida will do that to a person. Football is a HUGE deal and game days are the highlight of the week. I spent countless Saturdays tailgating before home games and hosting get-togethers for away games. I came to realize that game day celebrations only need a few things to be fun and successful - a space to watch the game, good drinks, and good food. It doesn't need to be fancy - just good old fashioned comfort food will do. In fact, that's the best kind.

While many of the tailgates on campus were quite over-the-top, with smokers loaded onto trailers for amazing barbecue feasts or industrial size grills churning out brats and burgers, I came to perfect the art of offering a spread of amazing game day appetizers. You really can't go wrong offering a little bit of everything, right? That's why I've compiled a list of super yummy appetizers that are perfect for game day parties. Several of these recipes can be made ahead of time, so all you'll need to do on game day is get plenty of ice (and maybe some good beer!) and unwrap these delicious snacks for your guests!

Yum! I think I did good...I opened about half. They just sound so good. It's nice to have a variety of fun snacks for the game. Football and food just tend to go together.

Game day is all about the food. I am big on the dips! I love a good wing dip too, my hubby makes a good spicy one too.

I have never tasted guacamole. I love hummus. I need to check out the recipe. I have seen several that aren't what I'm looking for. There was a store brand that I always bought. I can no longer find it. Hopefully, this will come close.
