Warby Parker Reviews : My Home Try-On Experience

This post may contain affiliate links. Click here for more information.

I first heard about Warby Parker a few months ago. A friend was asking for opinions of these eyeglasses on her Facebook page and I was intrigued. Glasses that ship right to you for home try-on, and at affordable prices? Sign me up! I recently made the leap and picked out five pairs of frames to test out at home. I thought it would be fun to share my home try-on experience with all of you and see which eyeglasses you think I should purchase!

Warby Parker Reviews : My Home Try-On Experience

Warby Parker appealed to me as soon as I heard about them because I despise glasses shopping. I used to shop at an eyeglasses store in the mall, but it would literally take me hours to decide on a pair. I'm indecisive as it is, so I'd send Snapchat pictures to friends and family to try and find the best glasses. After testing out hundreds of pairs, I'd finally pick one and then be appalled to find out the price after adding lenses. Even when getting ½ off the frames, my last pair of glasses cost close to $400.

The first thing that drew me to Warby Parker was the price. Their frames, including anti-scratch lenses, start at just $95! That's high quality frames and lenses for ¼ of the price of my last pair of glasses. The next thing that got me excited was their home try-on program. You can either take their online quiz to get frame suggestions or browse all of their frames eligible for home try-on. Choose five frames and Warby Parker will ship them for free to your house. Then you have five days to wear them, take pictures, and ask people's opinions on them.

There's even a free app you can download to make a slideshow of your photos to share on social media. After the five days, just mail the glasses back with the prepaid shipping label! If you find a pair you love, you can order the frames with your prescription in them. If you don't find a pair you love, you can do the home try-on again with five new pairs - super simple.

I picked out my first five pairs just based on frames I liked the look of. They do have specifications on the website letting you know details about each pair, including the frame fit and measurements. Ordering the five pairs was super simple and I couldn't wait to get them in the mail!

It only took about five days for my frames to come, and they were all labeled and in individual baggies so I could keep track of their names. The Warby Parker app also keeps track of which frames you have at home.

I was immediately pleased with the quality of the frames. I'm sure they've been through the ringer traveling in the mail and being worn for other home try-ons, and they were all in impeccable condition. The frames come with lenses but don't have your individual prescription. I wore mine over my contacts, which I wear most days anyway.

    Which Frames Should I Buy?

I thought it would be really fun to get opinions from all of the readers here at Viva Veltoro on which frames I should purchase! I have a couple that I really like from my first home try-on experience, and I've gotten opinions from friends and family. If you wouldn't mind sharing your favorite frames with me, I would love to take your opinions into consideration! I'll post photos of me wearing the frames below and if you want to leave a comment on this post or on the Facebook page, I would appreciate it so much.

    Daisy : Jet Black

I wore each pair of frames for a few hours over the five days. I wanted to give them all a fair shot and see if any of them gave me discomfort. Some of the frames are narrower than others and I found the wide ones were more comfortable for long periods of time. I love that I was able to have them for five days so I could really try out each pair of glasses for more than a few minutes.

Sending the frames back to Warby Parker was so easy. I just taped the box shut, attached the prepaid shipping label, and dropped it in my mailbox. I got a confirmation email a few days later that they'd received the glasses! Ordering is going to be simple also, because I can purchase from the website, the app, or over the phone. After I get input from everyone I'm going to purchase my first pair and write a follow-up post to share a review of the eyeglasses and that experience!

The icing on the cake with purchasing glasses from Warby Parker is their mission. Not only are they providing high quality glasses for affordable prices (not to mention the convenient home try-on option), they partner with non-profits like Vision Spring to help people get eyeglasses who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity! I love supporting a company that cares about much more than just profits.

Overall I am extremely impressed with Warby Parker and I can't wait to purchase my first pair. I'm sure I'll end up with at least a few since they are so affordable. My second home try-on order is on its way so I can try out a few more frames before ordering. Plus, I want to get more opinions on which pair will be best for me!

Feel free to leave a comment with your favorite choice! Or check out the image below and let me know the number you like best!

Disclosure: I was not compensated in any way for this post. I chose to write about Warby Parker because I love their mission and I would appreciate input on which glasses I should purchase. As usual, all opinions are my own.

Wow, nice one. That frame is really classy and the black color is a perfect match. I've found some classy blank sunglasses here: https://www.sunglassville.com/Blank-Sunglasses
