I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Vanity Fair Lingerie. I received product samples to facilitate my review and compensation to thank me for my participation.
When I told you I was thrilled to be a Vanity Fair ambassador, I mentioned that one of the main reasons was because of Vanity Fair's partnership with Dress for Success. Dress for Success is an international, not-for-profit organization that truly changes the lives of the women who walk through their doors. They promote economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them with the key pieces they need to put their best foot forward. Dress for Success gives women professional attire, a network of support, and career development tools to help put them on the path to success.
I've been fortunate enough to have always had what I've needed, but I know that isn't the case for everyone. Some women never have the opportunity to further their education or establish themselves in well-paying careers. Some women need a little help to get started or get back on their feet, and this is where Dress for Success can make a huge impact on the lives of these women and their families. I had the chance to hear one woman's story during our blogger summit in NYC and let me tell you, the entire room was in tears. We were overwhelmed with feelings of compassion and then appreciation for what Dress for Success does for women. I couldn't help but feel compelled to help spread the word about this organization and the amazing donation that Vanity Fair plans to make in 2015. Vanity Fair believes a bra can change a life, so their partnership with Dress for Success is really a perfect match. They hope to provide women with the support they need to be confident and successful.
Vanity Fair first partnered with Dress for Success in 2014 with the LIFTtour, a mobile fitting event, where they donated 5,000 bras to the women who sought help from Dress for Success. This year, Vanity Fair is thinking BIGGER - actually, 10 times bigger! They're planning to donate 50,000 bras with their BOGOGO promotion, in hopes to provide a bra to every single woman that walks through the doors of Dress for Success in the Unites States this year.
What's "BOGOGO" you ask? It means Buy One, Get One, Give One. During select dates at major U.S. retailers including Kohl’s, JCPenney and Macy’s, when you buy one Vanity Fair bra in-store, you'll get one for free, PLUS Vanity Fair will donate a new bra to Dress for Success on your behalf. Isn't that phenomenal?! If that wasn't enough, to coincide with BOGOGO promotion, Vanity Fair will host fitting events at designated retail locations nationwide where shoppers will have an opportunity to receive a free bra fitting from Vanity Fair fit experts. Trust me, you'll want to get fitted! Eighty percent of women don't know if they're wearing the right bra size and I was one of them. After being fitted by a professional and wearing the appropriate size over the last few months, I really appreciate what the right bra can do!
I've been wearing the Vanity Fair Beauty Back Back Smoother Full Coverage Underwire bra for the past several weeks, and I'm now planning on completely overhauling my intimates wardrobe. This bra has made such a huge difference in the way I look and feel in my clothing and I want to replace all of my bras with Beauty Back Back Smoother bras. With the BOGOGO promotion from Vanity Fair, now is the perfect time! I'll get twice as many bras and I'll get to help change the lives of women through Vanity Fair's affiliation with Dress for Success.
With the BOGOGO event, shoppers will also have the opportunity to write a note of encouragement to be sent along with the bra to the women seeking help from Dress to Success. Vanity Fair calls these notes "little lifts" and I was able to write a few of my own during our blogger summit in NYC. Words can be so powerful and I hope that the women of Dress for Success are moved and inspired by the little lifts they receive.
I encourage you to head to your local retailers during the Vanity Fair will host Buy One, Get One, Give One events. Bras change lives and this is the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to some new bras and help the women of Dress for Success.
Here are the dates of the Vanity Fair BOGOGO events at national and regional retailers for 2015:
