I've partnered with Tru by Hilton and Kellogg's for this sponsored post to tell you all about the Tru by Hilton Savannah Midtown and their awesome Top It Breakfast Bar.
Our family loves to travel. There is something so exciting about packing up the car for a weekend getaway to explore a new place. Recently, we traveled to Savannah, Georgia to immerse ourselves in the charm and history of the city. We also got to stay at the Tru by Hilton Savannah Midtown where historic and modern perfectly collide.
Tru by Hilton Savannah Midtown
Tru by Hilton is a new experience from Hilton Hotels. They chose modern amenities with bright and bold colors for a unique look and feel. I felt welcome as soon as I stepped inside. The lobby was vibrant and inviting with fun seating options and plenty of places to relax and recharge... and actually charge, too.
Thanks to the tech-savvy atmosphere, there are workstations and plenty of charging ports for all the gadgets that modern travelers bring along. This hotel chain is perfect for value-conscious visitors who are looking for affordability but don't want to settle for less in terms of comfort or convenience.
Check out these sound-dampening work pods.
We arrived later in the evening and were quite tired from the drive. Our room was ready and I was thrilled to see those two all-white, fluffy beds waiting for us. We got a great night's rest and were ready to experience all that Savannah has to offer the next day. We just needed some breakfast first.
One thing I always look for when we're traveling out of town is a hotel with free breakfast. Meals on the road can definitely add up for a family of four. Even a fast-food breakfast could cost upwards of $25. Taking advantage of free breakfast for the whole family seems like a no-brainer to me. This is where Tru by Hilton takes it to the next level.
Tru by Hilton Top It Breakfast Bar
Their FREE Top It Breakfast Bar is a breakfast lover's dream. It's stocked with breakfast staples like eggs, sausage, waffles, donuts, bagels, toast, English muffins, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt. Then, guests can pile on the toppings to customize their own creations! There are more than 35 sweet and savory toppings to create delicious breakfast combinations, including a variety of Kellogg’s cereals like Froot Loops, Raisin Bran, and Special K with Red Berries. Oh, and did I mention it's all FREE?!
You can make your own waffle boats!
My son and I immediately got to work making our very own breakfast creations. He decided to start with a waffle boat, while I chose a donut. I just couldn't resist! I mean, look at that display!
I decided to top my donut with a little bit of chocolate hazelnut spread and then finish my masterpiece with Kellogg's Froot Loops. It was SO good that even though my little guy created his own breakfast boat, he couldn't help but steal a little bit of mine.
Do you want to see what he made?
I was quite impressed with his creativity!
I helped him make a waffle boat with their super cool waffle boat iron. Then, he sliced a banana, topped it with peanut butter, and then finished it off with Kellogg's Froot Loops. We also added in some Greek yogurt topped with Kellogg's Raisin Bran and a touch of honey. It's all about balance!
Here's a fun video to show the Top It Breakfast Bar and my son's new favorite breakfast, the Tru-ly Amazing Breakfast Boat:
After we returned from a busy day of sight-seeing, I was thrilled to see the free coffee and tea display in the lobby. It's open 24/7 and is always fully loaded with decaf and regular coffee and hot water for tea. Plus, there were a variety of flavored syrups. It was like they were speaking my love language!
I got to experience several of Tru by Hilton's amenities during our stay, including some work time in their super cool lobby while my husband and my littlest one napped. My son and I were able to chill out while he watched one of the big TVs and I did some work on my laptop. It wasn't crowded at all and felt very cozy. We had such a great visit to Savannah, largely in part due to our fun stay at the Tru by Hilton Savannah Midtown.
Have you been to a Tru by Hilton yet? What do you think about their Top It Breakfast Bar?
Special thanks to Tru by Hilton and Kellogg's for sponsoring this post and providing me with a hotel stay. As always, all opinions and content are my own.
