Hello! Courtney here, and I've partnered with Summer Infant for a review of their Bentwood Highchair in Chevron Leaf! If you are looking for an awesome highchair, you have found it. Let’s dive right in!
Overall: This highchair is recommended from birth to 50 pounds which makes the Summer Infant Bentwood Highchair the only chair you will need. The height adjustments and reclining positions make it so that you can use this as a traditional highchair or remove the tray(s) and it can be used as a toddler booster chair so that they can sit at the table with you. My take on it: LOVE It.
Unboxing and assembly: Here is the box it ships in and what you can expect if it's delivered to your door.
There are a total of 8 screws and you'll need a screwdriver for assembly. It comes with alan wrench for tightening the legs before use but all of mine were already tight. It took a total of 10 minutes which included unwrapping all of the pieces from the packaging! My kids were in it in 12 minutes flat!
The details: Let’s admit it, ladies. We want a highchair that looks GOOD in our kitchen and dining room. This highchair won't let you down. It’s classy and the fabric is SUPER chic. The print you see here is their new Chevron Leaf pattern and I just adore it.The infant insert is yellow gingham and completely darling. It’s also fabulous that it is gender neutral as many of us pre-planners purchase our highchairs before we know if it’s a boy or a girl. And for those that are waiting to find out then it makes a fabulous baby shower gift! It also means that if you have a boy and later you end up having a girl: this works for both. I've already washed it and it washed up like a dream. I machine-washed cold and hung dry according to instructions. The fabric is pretty easy to take on and off of the seat. Oh, and if you love this print, Summer Infant also has an adorable bassinet that you need to see!
The tray on the Bentwood Highchair is HUGE and it’s double stacked with a tray and an insert with cupholder. It's easy to wipe down, put on, and take off. Plus, it’s dishwasher safe!!! Use one at breakfast, put it in the dishwasher and you have a clean one for lunch! This is my kind of thinking. 🙂
The tray also has four positions where it can slide in and out using just one hand.
There is a holder that you install on the back of the highchair to hold the tray for when it is not in use. We LOVE this!
Here is the 3 point safety harness that acts like a 5 point. There is no way to disconnect it to make it just a lap belt.
The highchair has three recline positions and has sloped sides. In the most reclined position there should be no trouble putting a new baby in with the infant insert. I am definitely planning on using this so that the baby is out of reach from her siblings while I am cooking dinner! It also means I can “talk” with her while I am cooking too, at nearly eye level.
The Amazon.com also has four different heights.
I LOVE that it was easy for them to climb into. My 3 year old is almost 40 pounds and it’s a lot of heavy lifting for this (pregnant) momma to plop her into things. The fact that she can climb in and out of this high chair herself is a huge bonus for me. The footrest is really wide at almost 4 inches, and it gives plenty of room for my 18 month’s old toddler size 5 foot as well.
This highchair is sturdy, well made, and collapses well for transport or storage. The total width collapsed at its largest point is 15 inches. Pretty impressive.
I cannot say enough great things about this highchair… now if only I had a second one! Oh wait.. make that a third one for the baby on the way too! Thank you Summer Infant Bentwood Highchair for the awesome design, great looking fabric and all around ease!
Buy it: You can purchase the Bentwood Highchair in Chevron Leaf on the Summer Infant wesbsite, or on Amazon.com, or at Kohl's, Babies "R" Us and Buy Buy Baby.
Disclosure: I (Courtney) received this item at no cost to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own. Amazon links are affiliate links.

Love how this high chair looks!! Just gorgeous and great to blend into any kitchen!! So in love with the hanger on the back for the tray when not in use!!! That used to make me nuts about my old one!! I am glad to hear that it is easy to clean because that is so important and not something I have with my current high chair!!

In this photo my eldest daughter is 7 years old now and she still uses the high chair and being strapped in i think it's easier to have her as a baby still.
