As we head into fall, my mind has been on child safety and prevention month which is recognized in November. I'm always looking for ways to prevent accidents and keep my kids safe. I got the opportunity to review Joovy's CocoonX2 Double Stroller along with two Noodle helmets and I was beyond excited! I think they have some of the best safety features on the market and their products are all so well-built. Check out my full review of their CocoonX2 and Noodles below.
Thanks to Joovy for sending us the CocoonX2 and Noodle Helmets!
Joovy Noodle Helmet Review
My husband and I have been on the market for a double stroller for quite some time but we also wanted to find one that we could use as a bike trailer. The CocoonX2 is exactly what we were looking for and then some! When we got the stroller and Noodle helmets in the mail we couldn't wait to tear into them and try them out.
We opened the Noodle Helmets and were immediately impressed with how lightweight they are. My kids were both totally comfortable with them on and that's saying something because my little guy hates wearing things on his head!
The Noodle helmets have 14 air vents so they stay cool even in hot weather. They also have many safety features that I love including the extended visor, pinch-guard chin strap, and an adjustable fit dial.
The pinch-guard chin strap is a huge blessing because I can't count the number of times I've been in a hurry and pinched one of my poor kids with a buckle. Joovy Noodles also have an adjustable fit dial to make sure you get the most protective fit. I feel like both my kids 'noodles' are safe in these helmets. Maybe I should put them on for daily activities since my youngest bumps his head at least once a day, ha!
Joovy CocoonX2 Double Stroller Review
After the kids had fun trying on their Noodles it was time to get to work putting the CocoonX2 together. The instructions were very clear. The only issue I had was pulling the frame into place-it took a bit of muscle but once I heard the click I knew I had set it up correctly. It took me about fifteen minutes to put the stroller together. We did need to put a little air in the tires as stated in the manual.
I love the safety features included on the Joovy CocoonX2. It has two 5-point safety harnesses that are adjustable depending on your child's height. The stroller also features reflectors for the evening and a bright safety flag.
The 5-point harnesses were comfortable for both of my kids and we were able to easily adjust the shoulder height for my taller daughter. Joovy's CocoonX2 also has a wrist strap and back brakes to make sure the stroller can't roll away from you.
When we took the stroller out for a walk the first time, I was SO impressed by how easy it is to push! I honestly feel like I could steer it with one finger. The turning radius is great and the wheels literally glide on the sidewalk. Along with being a fantastic stroller, you can purchase an attachment to use it as a bike trailer as well. My husband is THRILLED about this. He has been bugging me about biking together for the past couple years!
Using the CocoonX2 With Bicycle Trailer Connector
It was so simple to remove the front tires from the CocoonX2 and install the Bicycle Trailer Connector. Joovy is at it again with a safety strap to provide extra confidence when hauling our most precious cargo. I really feel like my kids are protected even when they are behind me or my husband.
Our kids LOVE riding in the CocoonX2 and I think it's because they can see everything that's going on outside. With large windows on each side and in front they can see their surroundings as we walk or bike. One of my favorite things about this Joovy stroller is the front window. You can have it completely open (which I like for the mall), have the mesh screen zipped to keep out bugs, or you can go one step further and use the plastic cover that rolls down over the mesh window. I like to use the plastic cover if it starts to sprinkle or if my kids are getting chilly.
It's fall here in Minnesota which means it's only getting colder. I love that we can still go for walks or bike rides and I don't have to worry about the kids being too chilly. There's even a sunroof to let more light in while still keeping the trailer a comfortable temperature.
One of my favorite things about the Joovy CocoonX2 is the storage compartment in the back. I store the Noodles in there when we aren't on the road, and I can also carry a diaper bag, snacks, blankets, and a water bottle. It's a huge compartment and it's perfect when you have two kids belongings to haul around.
I really do love everything about this stroller. It folds up easily and I can haul it in our vehicle. I use it for everyday trips and for longer excursions. The materials are all high-quality and feel very durable, and I have no doubt we'll be using this stroller for many years to come!
Disclaimer: I (Amber) received two Noodle helmets and the CocoonX2 for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This does sound like a safe stroller. I don't ride a bike on the street in my area, perhaps in some areas it would be very doable.
