Step2 My First Christmas Tree - Holiday Gift Guide Pick!

I don't know about your house, but mine is already bustling with holiday spirit! After Halloween, my kids know that Thanksgiving follows, and then it's CHRISTMAS! We have a lot of traditions in our house, but one of the biggest is putting up our family Christmas Tree. Today I want to show you the new addition to our holiday decor - My First Christmas Tree from Step2!

So I don't think it's just my kids who have trouble staying away from the Christmas tree. Last year I found my daughter literally inside the tree, precariously trying not to knock the bulbs off. One of our cats also liked to climb the tree last year, and it will be interesting to see if he does the same this year. He's quite a bit bigger now, so I'm hoping he won't! Our son is turning two soon, and I just know he'd be all over the tree too. However, this year we've got the new Step2 My First Christmas Tree! I'm hoping that means my real tree will have some competition for attention.

Step2 My First Christmas Tree

My First Christmas Tree is the most adorable addition to our Christmas decor. While my husband hasn't let me put up our real tree yet (soon!), we put our Step2 tree together as soon as it arrived. It took less than two minutes to attach the tree to the base, and our kids got down to decorating.

With eight colorful ornaments, there are plenty for kids to share as they decorate this tree. I love the bright colors and added detail of the designs on some of the bulbs, too. Since they're plastic, they won't break when they (inevitably) fall on the floor. They actually sit on designated spots on branches rather than hanging. This makes them easier for little hands to manipulate.

There's an adorable star for the top of the tree, and at 33 inches tall, our kids can attach the star with no problem. The tree is geared for kids ages 18 months and up, but even our four year old daughter enjoys decorating it.

The train track at the base of the tree is the perfect finishing touch. Our son loves to drive the train around the little track (and then hop off the tracks and drive it on the floor)! My First Christmas Tree is very sturdy. The base is large so we don't have to worry about it tipping over.

Getting Excited for Christmas Yet?

Putting together My First Christmas Tree makes me that much more excited to put our real tree up for Christmas. I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but when you have little kids the spirit of the season just hits so much harder. Our family wants to celebrate for more than just a month! I have high hopes that my kids will leave our big Christmas tree alone this year and play with their Step2 tree instead. It would be nice to avoid broken bulbs and ornaments this year!
