    Recently, I've started tracking my "macros" or macronutrients. Basically, I track the grams of carbohydrates, protein, and fats I'm eating on a daily basis. It's been a great way for me to see what's lacking in my diet and it's helping me improve my performance in the gym since I'm optimizing my nutrition. One thing I quickly discovered was that I needed more healthy fats and more protein to reach my goals. That's why I was so happy when Babbleboxx sent me The Original Huy Fong Foods Sriracha Almonds.

    Huy Fong Sriracha Almonds are a new twist on a classic. These spicy almonds feature hints of chilies, garlic, and vinegar to create a bold flavor profile that definitely satisfies my savory snack needs. Huy Fong Foods has taken premium almonds from California and perfectly roasted them in peanut oil before coating them in authentic Huy Fong brand Sriracha Seasoning. Each nut packs quite a bit of punch! In fact, I thought they might have been too spicy for me at first but I quickly got over that feeling and found that I loved the heat.

    Each serving offers 6 grams of protein, only 6 grams of carbs, and 16 grams of fat. They fit really nicely into my macros for the day and the portion size is just perfect for snacking. They deliver just the right combination of crunch and flavor.

    I've been taking these Huy Fong Foods Sriracha Almonds with me just about everywhere so I always have a good snack option on hand. Thanks to the large resealable bag that you can purchase at Sam's Club, I  can portion just the right amount out at a time while keeping the rest fresh.

    Sometimes, I just opt to take the entire bag with me so I can share them with other sriracha sauce fans. Sharing is caring, right?!

    I also whipped up some spicy trail mix using these sriracha almonds. There's a great recipe right on the back of the bag and it's such a great blend of sweet and spicy. It was so good that I  had to portion it into little individual serving bags so I wouldn't overindulge.

    Spicy Trail Mix Recipe

    • 2 cups of Huy Fong Foods Sriracha Almonds
    • ⅓ cup of pumpkin seeds
    • ⅓ cups of dried cranberries or cherries.

    I chose dried cranberries for this spicy trail mix recipe and it was just perfect. I've got my baggies of trail mix all laid out for the rest of the week and I'm so glad to have a flavorful snack to reach for whenever I'm ready.
