    Rag & Bone Bindery Review

This post may contain affiliate links. Click here for more information.

I often think about how being a mother in this day and age is different than 30 years ago when my mom was raising me. My mom is remarkable at preserving memories and lovingly documenting her children with scrapbooks and memory boxes, and these are still some of our most prized possessions today. With my own daughter, I've been wanting to find a tangible way to document her baby years, week by week, but in a tangible book that she'd be able to look through when she's older. After we've taken all these beautiful pictures, we need somewhere to put them! My sister found the most beautiful shop of handcrafted books and albums, and we instantly fell in love with their baby books! At no cost to facilitate this review, we were both able to get our hands on a handcrafted treasure, and I can't wait to show you how priceless these books can be!

    Rag & Bone

This is the Artist Journal Zinnia and the Baby's First Book Circus. They both exude fine workmanship and professional construction. Just by the weight alone, I knew that these were going to be well-made.

    Rag & Bone

This Artist Journal was actually the first book style made by Rag & Bone almost 20 years ago. They are still hand-sewn with hand-cut deckle edged pages and beautiful covers. The paper inside is a vellum finish paper which is the perfect weight for ink, pencil, light wash and pen so that this becomes the ultimate medium for artists, doodlers, writers, and other creators. There are 144 acid-free pages in bright white that just beg to be used! There is just something so beautiful about hand-bound books when you think about the time that goes into the details. I love how well these books stay open and I love the gorgeous fabric cover, especially how expertly it has been wrapped.

    Rag & Bone

I am just as pleased as can be to use this as a memory book for my daughter! I've been taking weekly pictures of her to document her cute smiles and tiny growing body over the course of the year. I can't wait to fill up these pages with more precious pictures, along with my notes of love, my hopes and my dreams for her. The lovely floral cover makes this a keepsake that I'm delighted to keep on display in her room for as long as she lives!

    Rag & Bone

My sister is due in just couple months with her first baby, and since she saw this Rag & Bone Baby's First Book in a shop downtown, she's had her eye on it for months! Even though they are limited on budget and space, this was something they really wanted to invest in, and I'm so happy they'll get to fill it with words, mementos, and memories!

    Rag & Bone

The Baby's First Books are the best-selling items from Rag & Bone, and they are perfect for preserving all those wonderful "firsts" in baby's first year. Its beautiful cover with ribbon binding is designed for the modern nursery and it contains 24 thick pages to fill in with words and pictures, and measures 10" by 11".

    Rag & Bone

Among the pages are topics like "The Big Day", "How we Picked your Name", and "Baby's World". I love that there are spaces for specific pictures, which also helps clueless parents decide what are the most important pictures to get in the hospital and other big days. I also like the pages to record height and weight as baby grows. And what a precious little envelope in the back for mementos! I would totally keep a lock of baby's hair inside after their first hair cut!

    Rag & Bone

My sister and her husband were so excited to get their baby book! They have just a few weeks left, and they are enjoying filling in the pages about "Before You Were Born", "Our Family Tree", and "How Mom and Dad Met".

    Rag & Bone

What a treasured keepsake for parents and for baby! There are currently 49 different covers to choose from, with page options for Mom & Mom, Dad & Dad, and Mom & Me which celebrate the joys of single parenting.

    Rag & Bone

We just LOVE these precious books from Rag & Bone! We love the beauty of the handcrafted materials and how these are already treasures for us and for our babies. Check out Rag & Bone for even more handcrafted books and albums like wedding collections, brag books, school years, Instabooks, guestbooks for weddings and showers, and many more!
