Pulled Pork Hawaiian Sheet Pan Nachos!

This post is sponsored by Mirum, but opinions expressed are my own.

I grew up in a household with SEVEN brothers who are were all really into football. Passion for the game has only grown over the years. These days, there is big talk, big speculation, and an intense annual game of Fantasy Football that leads up to the big game. My area of expertise may not be with the players, but I sure know what to serve when we all get together for the games! I'm excited to share with you one of my favorite recipes to serve during football season: Hawaiian sheet pan nachos!

I really look forward to getting together with my family on game days and one of the biggest reasons is the food we share. I may not always know what's going on in the game, but I do know exactly what is going to go first when the game day spread is layed out: sheet pan nachos. We love big flavors, spicy meats, and anything that comes on chips, so these Hawaiian sheet pan nachos are always a wild success. I'm usually porking out just as much as my adult brothers, but often I'm hesitant to reach for spicy food like this because of frequent heartburn during the game. Heartburn makes the whole event harder to enjoy and I feel I really miss out on some delicious food because of it, but this year, I'm more prepared!

There is a new product coming to a store near you -- Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablets! Also known as Omeprazole ODT, This is the only frequent heartburn medication in the form of an easy-to-take orally disintegrating tablet, meaning it is a dissolving tablet. The MELTechTM formula allows the tablet to dissolve easily on your tongue. Omeprazole ODT provides lasting heartburn relief, treating the same symptoms as Prilosec, but because it melts in the mouth, I can take it on the go. I'm always prepared, no matter whose house we're watching the game at and I don't even need a glass of water to take it. Up to 24 hours of long-lasting relief is hard to beat, which makes this a great choice for frequent heartburn sufferers. One dose is taken every 24 hours for 14 days and it comes in a great strawberry flavor.

Omeprazole ODT is for those who suffer from frequent heartburn, two or more days per week. You should not take Omeprazole ODT for longer than 14 days or more often than every four months unless directed by your doctor. This tablet is not intended for immediate relief and may take 1-4 days to feel the full effect. Also, do not chew Omeprazole ODT or dissolve in liquid.

Since I'll be enjoying plenty of Hawaiian sheet pan nachos during the big game, I thought this would be the perfect recipe to whip up and share today! The Hawaiian flavors are a perfect combination of savory and sweet.

    Sheet Pan Nachos

The first thing I always do when I put together these Hawaiian sheet pan nachos is prepare some fresh tortilla chips. You can use store-bought chips from a bag, but these are a little thicker and crunchier and they taste great. You simply cut about 18 small (5-inch) tortillas into quarters with a pizza cutter, spray the tops with canola oil cooking spray, then sprinkle with salt. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees, rotating halfway through until just slightly browned. They will crisp up and get crunchier as they cool.

Don't they look yummy, fresh out of the oven!?

Next, spoon on about 2 cups of pulled pork. This can be homemade or even from a microwaveable package. Feel free to add a little extra barbecue sauce to make it go farther.

Sprinkle on some mozzarella cheese then put the pan back in the oven for just a few minutes until the cheese is slightly melted.

Toss on some pineapple tidbits, chopped red onion, and sliced avocados and you're good to go! I like drizzling some lime juice and adding a cup of sour cream on the side. Ranch would also taste great, and maybe a sprinkle of sliced jalapeno peppers or cilantro!

These Hawaiian sheet pan nachos go fast and they're always a big hit. The sweet pineapple and the barbecue in the pulled pork really bring out some great flavors. Toss this together for the upcoming big game and learn more about Omeprazole ODT HERE.

This is just the type of dish that I like to have for game days. Easy to prepare and something that everyone will enjoy. I like the addition of the pineapple.

I am really happy to see that Omeprazole came out with a dissolving tablet. It makes things so much nicer when your not near a drink. I have a whole bunch of cooked shredded pork in my freezer and I was wondering what to make with it and this recipe is just perfect. I can't wait to give this recipe a try.

Yum! I love sheet pan meals and this one sounds delicious! I love pineapple and it sounds like it would go great with the pork. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. 🙂
