What you put on your skin is just as important as what you put in your body. Tom's of Maine has just released naturally inspired body washes and beauty bars so you can feel good about cleansing and nourishing your skin. The natural fragrances will inspire you to get in touch with natures, so check out my free printable scavenger hunt for kids and head outdoors to start exploring.
This year, I've really made a concerted effort to eat more natural, non-processed food. They say you are what you eat, right? Over the past few months I've started feeling better, have had more energy and I've even dropped a few pounds in the process. That got me thinking. Aren't the products that I put ON my body just as important as what I put into it? I think the answer is yes, and that's why I was so excited to partner with Tom's of Maine to try out their new naturally inspired cleansing line that's full of organic botanicals derived from 100% natural ingredients.
Tom’s of Maine is a leader in the natural products industry for good reason. Their Stewardship Model guides every decision they make to ensure that their ingredients, processing, and packaging meet rigorous standards for being natural, sustainable, and responsible. The majority of their products are vegan, kosher and halal certified and gluten-free, and they're never tested on animals. That means you can feel good about using their oral care and personal care products, since they're high-quality and better for your body and the environment when compared to other brands.
When we moved last year, I was surprised to find an orange tree in our new backyard. I like oranges as much as the next person but didn't really think this particular tree would be life changing or anything. Then, while playing with the kids in the backyard one day, I discovered the fragrance of orange blossoms. Oh my word; the scent was mesmerizing. I was wrong about this tree! So, I was thrilled to discover Tom's of Maine new Orange Blossom Body Wash. It's blended with Moroccan argan oil and the fresh and sweet floral fragrance is amazing.
These Tom's of Maine new washes use organic botanicals, like virgin coconut oil, raw shea butter and Moroccan argan oil to help maintain your skin's moisture, leaving it soft and silky smooth. They truly deliver on that promise. Each dermatologist-tested blend is free of artificial fragrances so the real qualities of each ingredient really shine through.

Naturally, after using Tom's of Maine Orange Blossom body wash, I'm more inspired to spend more time in my own backyard to take advantage of the orange blossom filled air. I'm even getting my toddlers in on the fun. Since we've been spending so much more time outside, we've started doing fun scavenger hunts in our neighborhood. I even created a printable scavenger hunt for kids that we can take with us on our daily walks. I'm planning to laminate ours so we can use it again and again.
My little guy agrees that our orange tree is pretty awesome. He loves the scent of orange blossoms too!
I'm also a fan of coconut oil, so I couldn't wait to try out the Creamy Coconut Body Wash. The Creamy Coconut wash smells divine and leaves a subtle reminder of a tropical vacation. Tara Mackey, best-selling author and wellness expert, says another benefit of this body wash is that the virgin coconut oil included is powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. It can also help with a host of skin and hair issues by restoring shine, moisturizing the body, and balancing skin issues. I seriously love this body wash.
Not to be outdone, the Lavender Tea Tree Body Wash is so calming and the raw shea butter, which is Fair Trade Certified and organic, leaves my skin so smooth. These blends offer low-foam cleansing, which has taken me a few days to get used to. I was using an antibacterial body wash before, which essentially striped my skin of it's natural oils, so it's a big change for me. But, another thing I learned from Tara Mackey is that lavender is a powerful antiseptic and has been proven to tackle stubborn skin issues like psoriasis and eczema. I'm so glad we've ditched the unnecessary chemicals by switching from the antibacterial wash.
When I'm at my home, I love using body washes and a loofa, but when I'm on-the-go I always take beauty bars with me. The newly formulated Tom’s of Maine beauty bars keep cleansing simple and gentle. Just like the body washes I mentioned above, the beauty bars are made with organic botanicals like virgin coconut oil in the Creamy Coconut Bar Soap, raw shea butter in the Lavender Tea Tree Bar Soap and Morning Mint Bar Soap, and Moroccan argan oil in the Orange Blossom Bar Soap. The scents are lovely and I love the extra little kick from the Morning Mint Bar Soap. The fragrance is a refreshing, invigorating burst of mint and perfect for those early mornings.
Besides working well and smelling great, there are a few other things I love about these new Tom's of Maine products. They're made with Fair Trade Certified and organic ingredients. Plus, they come in 100% recyclable packaging and 10% of Tom’s of Maine profits go back to supporting people and the planet. I feel like I can really stand behind this brand and its products! Be sure to check out the new naturally inspired cleansing line from Tom's of Maine at Target.com.
I hope you feel naturally inspired to get outdoors with our printable scavenger hunt for kids.
