How to Create Adorable, Personalized Books for Kids!

Personalized books are so popular this year, and there's good reason for that! Kids LOVE reading stories about themselves, especially when the characters look just like them. My kids are no different, and I've partnered with Hooray Heroes to share their adorable personalized stories with you! Hooray Heroes Personalized Books for Kids

I recently learned about Hooray Heroes from a Facebook ad. While I'm not sure how Facebook knew I was looking for personalized books, they hit the nail on the head with this advertisement! I've seen many personalized books in the past couple years, but none have stood out to me like these adorable stories from Hooray Heroes! Most of the options I've seen include a story from the child's point of view, so you don't actually have illustrations reflecting what the children look like. Hooray Heroes, on the other hand, allows you to completely customize your characters and uses those animations throughout the book.

There are many customization options including the following:

• Gender
• Hair Color
• Hair Style
• Skin Tone
• Eye Color
• Eye Shape
• Glasses/No Glasses
• Freckles/No Freckles

On top of that, you get to choose which stories you want included in your book. There are TONS of options and you get to choose ten or fifteen stories depending on which book you're creating. I made a sibling book for my children first. I really want to foster their friendship and I think that reading these stories about them experiencing things together will help to do that!

Hooray Heroes Personalized Sibling Book

The illustrations in these books are absolutely stunning. The colors are vibrant and there are so many details in the characters and the scenes. My kids were SO excited when they got to open the sibling book. It's filled with poems related to things that kids are going through and experiencing in their life. I went with fifteen stories that I knew my kids would identify with; some of them include playground fun, beach adventures, and treasure hunt. There are 24 stories to choose from for the sibling book so it's easy to customize for your family. You can choose to have mom or dad be the narrator, but I've found that either of us can read the book and it will be relevant!

Hooray Heroes Merry Christmas Book

The other books I created for my kids are Hooray Heroes' Merry Christmas books. Each year on Christmas Eve, our kids get to open a box with a book, a pair of pajamas, and a little treat. This year, I know they'll be so excited to open personalized books with stories just for them! Similar to the sibling book, the Merry Christmas story allows for complete customization of a character. Then, you can pick a variety of Christmas-related stories to add to the books. I made a book for each of our kids and I picked mostly different stories for each of them. There are a couple that overlap because I think they relate to both kids, but overall their books are very individualized.
