Kamik Boots for Kids and Adults - #KamikStepOutside

A few weeks ago I got to attend my first blogger event, and our whole family had a blast. We went to Edinborough Park in Edina, Minnesota to see the new boots offered by Kamik! The day was filled with fun activities and great food, and I wanted to share it with all of you. Plus, I've got a look at some of the NEW Kamik boots for kids and adults!

#KamikStepOutside Event in Minnesota

When we arrived we had lunch right away, and they had a great variety of delicious food! Our kids immediately saw the cookie decorating table and HAD to do that right after lunch. They also had a fun snowglobe activity for the kids, but mine wanted to go PLAY!

We've never been to Edinborough Park before, but our kids had so much fun that we'll definitely be going back! It's essentially a giant indoor playground that includes huge climbing structures and a big gym, too. Our kids had a blast at both, and ran around for HOURS. It's the perfect place, especially for winter, to burn off some energy.

One of my blogger friends, Mandy, was at the event with her family too! We had to grab a picture of our first (and hopefully not last!) blogger event together.

Along with the fun activities for kids, we all got to take home brand new boots for our families! Can I just say, these boots are fantastic! Kamik is a family-owned Canadian company so they know about the freezing weather we experience in Minnesota. Each of our family members was able to take home a pair of boots from Kamik's new line, and we are loving them!

Kamik Boots for Adults

My husband chose the Griffon style boots in Charcoal from Kamik, and I think they're a great pick for his lifestyle. He's an electrician and enjoys being outside when he's not at work. He also goes deer hunting and spends a lot of time outdoors with our family. The Griffon boots are waterproof seam-sealed so they'll keep his feet dry, and they're rated to -25°F which is perfect for our cold Minnesota winters.

The charcoal color is so attractive and also functional with Thinsulate insulation. My husband likes wearing them in cold weather, especially when it's too wet or icy for his other typical footwear, tennis shoes. He likes having another option besides his work boots for everyday wear!

I loved the Starling style as soon as I saw them, and I liked the charcoal color best though also come in black, brown, and khaki. They're stylish and comfortable, and they are so warm! The Starling style women's boots have Kamik's DriDefense waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry and let them breathe.

These boots are also rated to -25°F  so I no longer dread taking my kids outside and getting cold feet! For those winter nights when we're out after dark, the NiteRays reflective binding is a great way to stay safe and visible. I love my new boots and can't wait to try them out more as we get more snow!

Kamik Boots for Kids

Our daughter picked the Ava style boots from Kamik and they're SO cute. She loves playing outdoors in winter, so she needs something that will keep her feet warm and dry. These boots meet and exceed those criteria! Plus, they're so cute with the faux fur snow collar.

With the 100% waterproof DriDefense membranes and foam insulation, she can play outside in the snow for a long time. Her little nose and hands get cold before her feet ever do, and she always comes in with dry socks. I remember awful feeling of soaked, freezing feet as a kid and I'm glad my kids don't have to experience that!

Our daughter has no problem getting the boots on and tightening the bungee laces. It's great to have just one more thing she can do herself! The boots have great tread for walking on slippery snow and ice, too.

For our son we chose the Slate style Kamik boots in black. Just like the other boots, they're rated to -25°F so no matter how cold it is, his feet will stay warm. He's a pretty confident walker at almost two, but winter can be tricky with the slippery ice and deep snow. With his new boots, he's getting around with confidence!

The two adjustable velcro straps are great for getting a good fit on his little feet. With the soft fleece lining and DriDefense waterproof membrane, I know his feet will stay dry and warm. These boots are also available in purple if you prefer that over black.

Overall we are loving our new Kamik boots and we are so glad we had the chance to attend the Kamik Step Outside Event in Minnesota! Our whole family had a blast and we are loving the high-quality boots we received.
