Inside Out birthday party featuring the Step2 WonderBall Fun House!

    Inside Out Party

Hello out there! Courtney here, and today I am so excited to be here and share my Inside Out party featuring the Step2 WonderBall Fun House! I've partnered with Step2 for this review and what a fun partner they have been! They were so generous as to send me the WonderBall Fun House for my tiny humans to enjoy. I thought this would be a perfect birthday present for my 3 year old and so I made it the centerpiece for her Disney / Pixar's "Inside Out" themed party!

Inside Out party featuring the Step2 WonderBall Fun House!

I opened the box the night before the party... at 9pm..... big mistake, right? NOPE! My husband was gone and I couldn't find the drill bit to go on his power screwdriver that would have made screwing those screws in super fast, but I grabbed the screwdriver that I had and went to work! I was bale to completely assembly the fun house in an hour! The pictures on the instructions were AWESOME! I never got confused, it just flowed right along. There is one spot on the assembly where either a short handled screwdriver or a power screwdriver with a right arm thingy (so it goes at a 90 degree angle) is needed. Check me out on the kitchen floor!

    InsideOut1

I love how the WonderBall Fun House fit into my party theme. In the movie (this isn't a spoiler so don't worry), the little girl makes memories which are balls with different emotional content. They then go through tubes to get to short, long term, or core memories. The colors of the emotions are red (anger), yellow (joy), green (sarcasm/envy), blue (sadness), and purple (fear). I grabbed those colors to make my party coherent and the colors of the WonderBall Fun House were perfect!

    18MonthOldFunWithTheWonderballFunHouse

I used some free clip art that I found online and my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut decals for the table cloth, tags with the kids' names on it for the favor bags, and labels for the short term and long term tubes on the WonderBall Fun House!

    TreatBags

    ShortTermMemory

I let my girls go play with the WonderBall Fun House before their guests arrived so that they would be more willing to share with the other kids. Here are the pictures of them discovering it! They have never had a playhouse before and they were stoked! My 17 month old and 3 year old insisted on me getting out a step ladder so they could watch the balls go into the tubes from above. So cute! I was too busy keeping them safe on the step ladder to take pictures.

    WonderballFunHouse2

Below you'll see how I worked the theme together and the party table. The adults thought it was pretty clever! I hung some paper decorations above the table as well.

    ColoredDecorOverTable    CharactersMixedIn

I used the same colors of the emotions from the movie for my plate colors.

    PaperPlates

I also added rainbow ball sprinkles to the top of the cupcakes to keep the theme going.

    Sprinkles

None of my parties would be complete without some paper straws.

    PaperStraws

    We had face painting too!

    FacePainting

Here you can see how well the Wonderball Fun House made itself the centerpiece of my party!

    WonderballCenterpiece

We recently had a 15 month old friend come over to play. She loved it too! When I received the WonderBall Fun House the balls were dented slightly. I played with them a little and figured I just got some duds (but they still worked). I let Step2 know and they were AMAZING. Talk about some great customer service: they called me on my cell phone and replaced the balls with no questions asked and were SO kind. I would give them 5 stars just for customer service! Amazing.

    3YearOldsLoveTheWonderballFunHouse

Here is a picture of the balls going into the holes on the roof.

    BallsGoingIntoRoofOfWonderballFunHouse

And as you can see my 3 year old can reach the top on her tippy toes.

    3YearOldReachOntoRoofOfWonderballFunHouse

On the outside of the fun house is this ball launcher. The 15 and 18 month old kids weren't too interested. They preferred to "cook" inside and put the balls down those blue tubes and in and out of the mailbox. But the 2.5 to 3 year old kids LOVED it. They went crazy and had to take turns. Here is what the ball launcher looks like.

    WonderballFunHouseBallLauncher

It only takes one finger to pull it down to launch it and can be done by any age.

    WonderballFunHouseLaunchesWithOneFinger

The kids really had a wonderful time. Thanks again to Step2 for sponsoring my review! My girls love it (and the boys loved it just as much!)!
