I am attending the #FindingDoryEvent press trip on behalf of Disney.
Last month I attended the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World and we got a very special surprise from Finding Dory producer Lindsey Collins. After she told us about how the Finding Nemo sequel came about (13 years later), we got to see the first 33 minutes of Finding Dory. I don't want to divulge any spoilers, but we all let out a collective groan when the reel stopped. All the things I loved about Finding Nemo were instantly brought back and I just know this movie is going to be a HUGE hit. So, you can imagine my level of excitement when I got a pixie-dusted email with an invitation to Los Angeles to attend the red carpet premiere of Finding Dory and the animated short Piper.
I'm not going to lie - I love reading and hearing about celebrities. I hit all the websites and buy all the magazines after an award show to see who was there and what everyone was wearing. I've always dreamed of walking the red carpet so this opportunity is quite literally a dream come true.
Not only will I be standing on the red carpet and then watching the film at the famous El Capitan Theatre, I'll also have the chance to interview several members of the cast and production team. Are you ready for this? We're going to be sitting down with: Ellen DeGeneres (voice of “Dory”), Ed O'Neill (voice of “Hank”), Kaitlin Olson (voice of “Destiny”), Eugene Levy (voice of “Charlie”), Albert Brooks (voice of “Marlin”) & Hayden Rolence (voice of “Nemo”). We'll also be sitting down with Piper Director Alan Barillaro and Producer Marc Sondheimer.
While we're in LA, we'll also be attending a few other special events, like the #LEGOFreemakerEvent and the #BizaardvarkEvent.
Set between the events of "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi," the "LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures" action comedy series follows the Freemakers, a family of sibling scavengers who operate a salvage and repair shop in space. The series will also feature familiar characters and locations from the filmed Star Wars saga. We'll be getting a sneak peek screening of this new Disney XD series and we'll be sitting down with Executive Producers Bill Motz & Bob Roth ("Penguins of Madagascar"). The series is set to premiere Monday, June 20th (10:00 a.m. EDT), on Disney XD, so stay tuned for more details.
We'll also be checking out Disney Channel's new live-action comedy series "Bizaardvark." This new show, which premiers on Friday, June 24th, stars Olivia Rodrigo and Madison Hu as video blogging besties Paige and Frankie. The series follows Paige and Frankie who write funny songs and create music comedy videos for their online channel, "Bizaardvark." The series also stars Vine sensation Jake Paul as Dirk (host of "Dare Me Bro!"), DeVore Ledridge as Amelia (host of "Perfect Perfection with Amelia"), and Ethan Wacker as 12-year-old agent Bernie. After our screening, we'll be touring the "Bizaardvark" sets and meeting the cast and view production of an upcoming episode!
Be sure to follow #FindingDoryEvent #LEGOFreemakerEvent
