Fantastic Spring Shoes for the Family - See Kai Run Review

See Kai Run shoes are our family's top favorite brand! No joke. My kids point out the red wagon logo whenever they see a pair and they even look forward to getting each other's See Kai Run shoes as hand-me-downs. We're excited to share some of our favorite styles from this season and tell you why we're their biggest fans!

Spring doesn't exactly come early (or even on time) here in New York. We're still having snow days in March and 2-hour delays from school in April. We love the snow and the winter holidays, but this year, my kids have been moaning around the house that they are "so done with winter" for a few weeks now. To cheer ourselves up (and hopefully it wasn't wishful thinking), we spent an afternoon putting the snow pants, gloves, hats, and snow boots away in the basement. After their clean-up, I surprised each of them with a brand new pair of See Kai Run shoes for Spring! They were delighted! I might as well have been Christmas.

I'm so glad I never have to worry about finding great See Kai Run shoes for my little runner, because they really pay attention to what is important regarding small humans as far as fit, functionality, comfort, and cuteness. This is the Ginny (First Walker) shoe in Silver, but it also comes in Gold.

I could hardly get a picture in before baby girl pried these out of my hands and wanted them on her feet. She'd wear them all day around the house if I let her. Probably because they're so comfortable. There is a cushioned insole and the back collar is padded. As you can see above, the full rubber outsole is very flexible but totally durable for wobbly walkers. Even though the bottom is flat, the outsole still offers great traction.

The hook-and-loop straps are strong when fastened, so we get a customized fit that won't come loose during busy outings. Lastly, the toe box appears nice and boxy to allow for wiggly and fast-growing toes. These really stay clean over time and travel, and the embroidered flowers are the sweetest!

Ok, now get a load of these shimmery pink high tops! Girlfriend is talking non-stop about Preschool in the Fall, and because I know how durable the See Kai Run brand is, these are guaranteed going to look amazing even in 6 months.

Could there be a more perfect pair of shoes for a 4-year-old girl than a pair of shimmer pink high tops?! We are both so in love with these shoes!

These are the Peyton Rose Shimmer high-top sneakers. They are actually fully lined and the canvas lining is even natural and breathable. Notice the padding on the collar and tongue -- features that I wish were on all of my adult sneakers. I'm surprised by how lightweight they are, especially since high tops with rubber soles can be so heavy, but these won't be holding anyone back. I really love how See Kai Run does these faux laces with strong and thick elastic. It makes them look like real lace-up sneakers!

With such a great variety of styles at See Kai Run, it's easy to find exactly what we need for different occasions. We attend church every Sunday and my boys prefer to wear khakis, which don't always need a dress shoe to go with, but something nice nonetheless. That's why these nice but slightly-casual sneakers are PERFECT!!

These are the Stevie II shoes in brown leather, which are also available in a gray. The leather really dresses them up so that I am 100% cool with these being worn to church with khakis, or even with jeans for a nicer-than-typical look. We are just so happy with these and it's clear why these are a best-seller every season.

Look at that stitching detail! These are so beautifully constructed. Notice the rubber toe cap that provides protection, but the brown color of the rubber blends into the shoe. As always, great traction, slick materials, and gotta love those faux elastic laces!

So another thing that See Kai Run does so well is the way they disguise the fact that there are no laces to tie. For my grade school boys, this is huge! It doesn't look like they're wearing baby shoes because the faux laces (which are actually thick and sturdy elastic) are already sewn in.

Lastly, this Russell shoe is one of our favorites and we keep coming back for more every season. This style is so well-designed and it really holds up against wear. These shoes are lightweight so both of my boys keep a pair of Russell shoes in their backpack to change into when they get to school and take off their snow boots.

Of the entire See Kai Run catalog, these were instant favorites with my 2nd grader. He doesn't like spending more than 10 seconds on getting ready, so even though he can tie his shoes when he has to, these are his jam right now. I love the combination of leather, rubber, and denim!
